6 The Palace in the Interspace

Qingcheng went through the other rooms to take a look.

The Alchemy Room was about a hundred square meters or so, and it was flanked by drawers that could be found in a Chinese medicinal shop. There was a bookshelf in the corner, and a large cauldron was in the middle of the room. This was the pill furnace for refining pills.

She pulled open all the drawers at the side. One side was reserved for keeping the herbs required to refine pills, while the other side was reserved for keeping pills that were good to use. She took out one of the bottles with pills inside and opened the cover. The fragrance of them immediately wafted out.

The last room was the kitchen. Qingcheng didn't have many hobbies, but every time she completed a mission, she would make a whole table full of food for herself. Her favorite was the little snacks she baked. Now she had a mobile kitchen that went everywhere with her, so it felt like this place was made for her.

The kitchen was around 200 square meters in size and split into two areas. One was the dining area, and one was the cooking area. It had everything she needed, including a stove. Just like the bathing pool, the sink also took water from the Sacred Spirit Spring below. On top of all this, the Bangle Interspace itself was able to keep food fresh naturally.

Qingcheng's lips couldn't help but twitch slightly. This was really luxurious…

But this place was very much to her liking. She had originally planned to stay in the forest to cultivate for some days first, anyway. Many people had appeared at the place where Qingcheng first woke up in the forest as well as its surrounding areas. From their clothes, it was apparent that many of them came from powerful families in Wei City. Most of them looked cautious and nervous as they continued to search the place.

This group of people had no idea that the strange treasure they were looking for wasn't here at all. She was now at a hidden cave far from this place and was preparing to barbeque some meat. In any case, all these people were destined to go back emptyhanded.

Qingcheng cleaned the carcass that the wolves came back with and skewered it to barbeque over the fire. Tealwood and the other wolves went to the side and tore away at their food as they continued to eye the rather large pig that Qingcheng was roasting over the fire with a bright sparkle in their eyes.

When they smelled the wonderful fragrance of roasted pork in the air, they simply couldn't stop themselves from salivating, almost drooling. They had to swallow their saliva again.

Tealwood looked pitifully at Qingcheng and whimpered to her, "Qingcheng, the roast pork smells amazing… Could you give me some of it?"

Qingcheng looked at Tealwood and thought that he looked so adorable like this. "Of course. I won't eat much, and I only want this section. I'll give you guys the rest of it!"

Actually, she had specially roasted an entire raccoon pig for these wolves.

Tealwood immediately bounded over and bit down on one leg, pulling it off with its teeth, then he went for the next leg.

The rest of the wolves came over and started tearing away at the meat, and it soon became a big battle of who could snatch more.

Qingcheng was slowly eating the roast meat in her hands. The water she had used when she was cleaning and seasoning the meat was from the Sacred Spirit Spring within the interspace.

She could sense that the wolves were genuinely nice to her. Compared to humans, animals were simpler minded. They were very clear about what they liked and what they didn't, and wouldn't try to hide their emotions or disguise themselves otherwise. Animals would also never bother to scheme or pull any tricks.

As a result, she felt safer being with these wolves than with people.

Qingcheng remembered that Magical Beasts could cultivate too, so she used some of the Sacred Spirit Spring water to wash the meat. This way, the water would help them in their cultivation while they ate.

But what she didn't know was that this simple action of hers would bring about an effect she hadn't expected.
