The old man looked like he had really not eaten anything in a long, long time…

In a few moments, he had licked the entire mountain rabbit clean, and the remaining half of the azurite chicken was gone as well.

Even as a Magical Beast, Tealwood marveled at his eating speed! On top of that, the old man looked like he still wanted more…

Qingcheng saw that he was quite done, so she asked, "Senior, are you done eating? If you're done eating, we'll take our leave first."

The old man looked awkwardly at the mess of bones on the ground and grinned brightly at Qingcheng. "I'm done eating! I'm done eating! It's really delicious! It was so yummy! I've never eaten anything so tasty in my entire life!!"

Qingcheng just smiled politely and didn't say anything. She stretched out her hand, and the roasting rack and the condiments were placed back into the kitchen in her interspace.

The old man was standing next to the roasting rack when she did this, and his gaze suddenly changed after witnessing it. He no longer had that huge smile or the pitiful look he had earlier when he was begging for food to eat.

Instead, he looked extremely solemn! That's right. The word was solemn.

He immediately appeared right in front of Qingcheng and grabbed her right wrist to look at it over and over as he mumbled to himself, "This is… this is…"

His expression was both nervous and excited at the same time. When the old man made his way towards Qingcheng, Tealwood wanted to rush over to stop him, only to find that he couldn't move at all!

He could only watch on as the old man grabbed Qingcheng's wrist and inspected it! He was so furious.

Tealwood yelled, "Stupid old man! Let go of my Master!"

The old man ignored him. Or rather, the old man didn't even glance at Tealwood. Besides Tealwood, Qingcheng herself was also unable to move, and she had no idea what this old man was up to! He was fine just a moment ago, and now he had suddenly changed completely. He had grabbed her wrist, but he wasn't looking at her wrist. He was looking at the Star Bangle!

He seemed to know about this Star Bangle! A feeling of impending danger started rising in Qingcheng's heart. If this old man wanted to take the Star Bangle away, then there was no way she nor Tealwood could do anything about it! This was a terrible feeling indeed!

Qingcheng's heart was tumultuous right now, but she tried her best to hide her worry and said calmly, "Senior, how much longer are you going to continue grabbing my wrist?" She tried hard to make herself calm down.

To her surprise, he actually let go of her and allowed her to move again.

He looked at her and couldn't hold his excitement in as he asked, "Young lady, tell me, how did you get this bangle? Don't worry. This bangle has already established a bond with you, so there's no way I can snatch it from you. I just want to find out more."

Qingcheng looked at him carefully. The way he spoke and his gaze didn't look like he was lying. She then replied, "I didn't go looking for it; it came to me. I can only say that this bangle and I were fated, and I established a bond with it completely by chance."

The old man counted off his fingers after hearing what she said, then he excitedly asked, "Did you establish a bond with it eight days ago?" After Qingcheng nodded, he immediately burst out laughing loudly and said, "HAHA! I found her! I finally found her!" He was so excited that he was just short of bursting into song and dance.

Qingcheng had no idea what he was so happy about and just held onto Moondevil tightly. If anything went wrong, she was prepared to make sure she got Moondevil and Tealwood into the Star Bangle with her.

The old man calmed down and said very seriously to Qingcheng, "Young lady, what's your name?"

"Feng Qingcheng," she quietly replied with puzzled eyes.

"If I'm not wrong, you're only twelve, right? And your cultivation level is already at Spirit Mentor Seventh Tier?" The old man was also shocked by this. This gifting pretty much made her a genius. Since she would have only been tested for her gifting at eight, and she had cultivated for only four years, it meant that she went up by at least one level each year! But what the old man didn't know was that Qingcheng had actually accomplished all of this in eight days!

The old man continued, "Then have you asked anyone to be your teacher?" He seemed to have a look of anticipation on his face.

"Not yet." Even Tealwood couldn't tell what Qingcheng's cultivation level was. He would only be able to tell when her leveling up process revealed it, but this old man could tell immediately! But she also felt that this old man was really weird, and he changed the topic very quickly too.

"No? Heh heh, then are you willing to let me be your teacher?" He smiled brightly and… even fluttered his eyes at Qingcheng.

Qingcheng was even more confused now. Wasn't he here for the Star Bangle? Why was he asking to be her teacher now? She started to look at him strangely and suspiciously but didn't answer him.

The old man saw how Qingcheng was just staring at him without replying and started to feel a little embarrassed. "Well… ahem, ahem… I… I really don't have any ill intentions. I just see that you're really very gifted in cultivation! Also, you look both adorable and intelligent, so I thought of taking you in as my disciple! COUGH… COUGH…"

When Qingcheng kept looking more and more suspiciously at him, he felt like he was some weird old man trying to trick a child…

"That's not necessary. If there's nothing else, I will take my leave." Qingcheng then turned and walked away. Tealwood was able to move now, so he left along with Qingcheng.

But before they could even take five steps out, a white figure blocked their way.

The old man saw how Qingcheng had left without saying more and became anxious immediately.

"My little Qingcheng, I'm a really impressive old man! It's impossible to find another person on the Star Continent who can rival my ability! I'm serious; I'm not lying to you. I'm a Forefather of Spirit Sect! If you take me as your teacher, then you can go anywhere and do anything in Star Continent without any problems at all!" The old man tried hard to persuade and tempt Qingcheng.

"Spirit Sect? I've never heard of that. But you say you're the most powerful person in Star Continent? Then why are you in this place?" She didn't think this old man was here specifically to look for a disciple. Neither did she believe that he was here just to look for something to eat.

The old man was instantly put on the spot… it never crossed his mind that this girl had possibly never heard of Spirit Sect…

Spirit Sect was one of the most powerful sects in the continent, and almost every cultivator would have definitely heard of them. It had the longest history among all the other sects. Spirit Sect disciples were split into inner disciples and outer disciples, but even if you wanted to come in as an outer disciple, the bar to get in was very high.

The sect went through a selection process three times a year. To meet the eligibility criteria, one had to be between twelve and twenty-five years of age, and one had to be at a minimum of Spiritualist First Tier. You had to meet these criteria before you could even get to the selection process.

Only the top 500 of those who passed the selection test got to enter the sect. Nearly 10,000 people applied for the test every year, so to pick only the top 500 from this many people, it was clear that their selection criteria were really strict.

Also, not everyone could become an inner disciple, either. Among the 500 who passed the selection test, only the top 200 would become inner disciples. The remaining 300 would remain as outer disciples. There were inner disciple selection competitions twice a year, and the top ten from these competitions would be qualified to become an inner disciple.

And even for the top 200 who made it as inner disciples, only the top ten or eleven would be eligible to become the disciple of one of the Elders of the sect, and you might even get a chance to become the disciple of the Sect Leader himself.

But this old man was saying that he was a Forefather of Spirit Sect, which meant that his position was way higher than the Sect Leader. If she became his disciple, it meant that even the Spirit Sect Leader would have to be polite and respectful towards her, not to mention the rest of the sect itself.

They were the most powerful and influential sect in the entire continent, and there was someone here who actually didn't know who they were. It was hard for the old man not to feel stunned.
