2 The reality

In the end i decided to go to the opposite side of where the monster was, i didn't want to risk encountering that terrifying creature ever again, the first place that came to my mind was the cities shopping center, the Luxury, which was also the tallest building around the city, i wanted to look at everything from a high place, i needed to know if there are any other human around me.

After about 30 minutes of walking, i finally reached my destination, after all before anything i needed to know what is happening in the city, unfortunately the shopping center's door was closed and the automatic door wouldn't open, this was probably another side effect of the power outage.

I tried looking around to find something heavy to break the door with.

After some time, i was finally able to find a big rock not far from the shopping center, i carried it with me, i took a deep breath and then i picked the rock and swirled it toward the glass, and the glass exploded

I said to my self.

Jo : "thank god it wasn't one of those bullet proof glasses !"

I tried the elevator but as expected no luck, i had to take the stairs, i opened the emergency door and i used the stairs, it was fairly dark, i had to wait for a bit so my eyes adjust, fortunately after the second floor there were some windows and the light made things more clear.

After walking 20 flight of stairs i finally reached the top as i was sweating like a pig and breathing heavily, the moment i opened the roof's door a cold air blasted through my face, it felt nice, i walked toward the walls at the edge of the building, and i looked at the city from above.

The moment i gazed through the city i understood, this was no longer the world i once knew, there was no one around, i couldn't see even a single moving car.

I kept thinking about my family and everything that happend to me until now and finally the emotions that had bottled up in me finally came out and i started screaming :

Jo: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

After a few minutes i came to my senses, i decided to look for my family, i had to at least check their houses, i went toward the roof's door that i suddenly heard a sound, i quietly took a glance, oh my god, it was another one of those monsters!.

Very slowly, i backed, i had no where to run, i decided to use the roof's walls, it was the best thing i had, i took out the knife i had and i slowly went toward the walls as i watched the door.

It had probably noticed me because of my yelling, what an idiotic thing i did.

As i was taking steps backward, i suddenly hit something, my heart stopped for a second, i immediately turned back, it was the roofs wall, it was almost 50 centimeters in height, with my back against the wall, i simply held the knife as hard as i could, i could hear my heart beating fast, until everything stopped, the monster came out, it was staring at me, i have never met such an ugly creature, it was right out of the horror movies, it had so many teeth, i couldn't even count them, it had a bit of a human like shape, but it was much bigger than a human, it was standing on four legs.

We were both staring at each other, i was sweating like a pig, the moment my eyes began to blink, i saw it moving toward me, it had an unbelievable speed, it was like a tiger, i couldn't move, i simply kept the knife forward as hard as i could, the next thing i saw was my knife in its chest and its teeth in my shoulder, i started screaming and then it suddenly pushed me over the wall, i locked my hand around its neck as hard as i could and i decided to kill him even if i die, and i pushed both of us from the roof, and we both began to fall.

hmm its dark, i opened my eyes, i was in my room, i had re spawned again, this time i wasn't as confused as the last time, i knew none of that was a dream, i was about to stand up that i heard a voice:

"Voice assistance has been unlocked, experience has reached the peak point"

I was terrified, i looked behind me no one was there, i yelled:

"Who is there ? who is talking"

No one answered me, something just kept saying weird stuff

"level 10 access granted, particle analyze skill using quantum computer has been unlocked"

I kept saying

"Who is there?"

Finally i felt something inside my head say

"I am Rona, the AI in charge of assisting you Jo"

Jo: "What are you ?, where are you talking from ? why can't i see you?"

Rona: "I am directly sending and receiving signals from your brains, this simulates an act similar to two people talking, so i am talking with you using your brain"

Jo: "Using m-my brain ? what are you ?, are you the one responsible for my re-spawning ?"

Rona:"As i already told you, i am an AI, you always had the capability to use me but it was locked, you were able to unlock this skill when you managed to kill the enemy in your previous Run"

Jo: "Run ?"

Rona:"By Run i mean the things you experienced before dying and restarting from this save point"

Jo: " Are you responsible for this ?, are you the one that is taking me back though time ?"

Rona: " The answer is both yes and no, i am not directly responsible for your restarting, that is simply one of your unlocked skills, 'The chosen', this skill will revive you from your last save point for 5 times, each revival will again be restored after 1 week, currently you have used 3 revive and you have 2 revive remaining, your next revive will be restored in 4 days"

Jo: "I see, so basically this is just like a game, i didn't think i had only had 2 more revive, thank god i only died 3 times!"

Jo: "Rona, why is all this happening to me, why there is no one around? where is everyone ? how is it that i have this ability?"

Rona : "Unfortunately, you do not have access to the skill 'Higher knowledge', this skill requires access level 100, currently i am unable to share any information with you, all i can say is that you have been chosen to save this world, and i am here to help you"

Jo: "I have been chosen ? by whom ? to save the world ? why me ? what happened to the world, why the world needs saving ? ANSWER ME"

Rona: "Sorry Jo, you do not have the authorization to access these information"

After that, i kept asking different things but Rona didn't answer me and kept saying i don't have authorization to access that information, i finally got tired and stopped asking, i took a few deep breath and i decided to accept the reality which is in front of me.

Jo: " Rona, what are the skills that are currently unlocked for me ?, what can they do ?"

Rona: "Currently you have three unlocked skills :

1- The Chosen

This skill allows you to revive 5 times, each revive can be restored after 1 week, your remaining revive is 2/5.

2- Voice assistance

This skill enables AI voice assistance Rona, which is me and the reason i am able to speak to you and assist you.

3- The quantum particle analyzer

This skill enabled the analyze of substances using the quantum computer inside your body, after analyzing the substances you can choose to alter your DNA and you can use the property of that substance and improve your self"

Jo: "Amazing, all these skills seem so OP, beside The Chosen i am very interested in the other skill, the particle analyzer, Rona can you explain to me the way i can use this skill"

Rona: "Yes, of course, to use this skill you only need to think about it or you can order me to use it for you, after that you only need to touch a substance and let it be absorbed through the palm of your hand, using the nano robots the analyze will start automatically, after it is finished you can choose the specific alteration that you'd like".

Jo: "So i only need to touch something and it can give me its properties?, this seems like an amazing skill"

After hearing about the amazing skills i had i felt courage building up in me, but i was still scared, after all, even with all these amazing skills can i really kill one of those foul creatures ?, i mean the last time i killed one of them and i unlocked these skills, i was just lucky and we both fell of a 20 flight building!.

After some time, i finally calmed down and i decided worrying too much will not help me so once again i gathered my courage and i decided to do the best i can in this Run.
