4 The First Fight

Jo had decided the only way to survive and learn more about his situation was by growing stronger, and the best way to grow was by leveling up through fighting , so with advice of Rona he decided to go toward the 3 F Rank monsters that Rona had detected.

10 Minutes later:

Jo: "Are we there yet?"

Rona: "300 meter until we reach the targets"

Jo: "But i must say i really feel light, its like i'm flying! is this because of the 10% speed increase?, what happens when my increases even more, will i become like those assassin characters in movies that suddenly vanish? if so that would be really cool.

Rona: "Yes, if you level up enough you can increase your speed vastly, enough to even escape a normal human's eye from tracking you"

Jo: "Yessss, that would be so cool :)"

Rona: "100 meter until we reach the targets"

Jo: "Yes i think i can see something, wait a second, ar..are those Rats? why are they so big? they seem to be at least be as big as a dog!

Rona: "No, they are not of actually Rats, they do however have some DNA mutation of Rat's specie, their main trait is their high agility but they have a fairly low attack power and their defense is very weak"

Jo: "So they are fast but have low attack power?, that seem to be very good for someone like me who has a high defense, lets first get closer without them noticing, having the first strike can be very useful"

Jo started to slowly get close to the Rat monsters, when he got close enough, he hid behind an rock that was in front of him, he noticed they were eating something, he started to zoom in to look closer that something suddenly got thrown towards his direction from the corpse the monsters were eating, it was something drenched in blood, he looked at it a bit more that he suddenly noticed it was a human hand! he suddenly panicked, he had played a lot of video games but this was real life, he had never saw an actual human hand drowned in blood, he took another look at the corpse the Rats were eating and that was when he finally understood that they were eating a human being, fear filled his mind, he felt a chill through his body and suddenly felt nauseous and took an step back which caused a sound, One of the monsters noticed the sound and look toward his direction, luckily he was behind a rock so they didn't see him, one of them started coming towards the hand that was thrown beside the rock, Jo held his hand on his mouth and tried his best to stop himself from vomiting"

Jo (In his thought): "I was too naive, deep down i knew those monster could have eaten other humans, but because i hadn't see any corpse or blood until now, i thought maybe everyone was safe, but i have to keep it together, the monster is coming toward me, i have to ambush it and deal the first strike"

And so Jo decided to strike the Rat monster, he held the knife as hard as he could and prepared himself, he could fill his hands trembling, he was nervous, he decided to aim for the eye and thrust as hard as he can, the monster noticed the bloody hand got distracted and used his mouth full teeth to take a bite, Jo jumped out and thrust ed the knife in his eye as hard as he could"

Jo: "Ahh, die die diee"

He kept stabbing the Rat monster with the knife until it stopped moving, the other two Rats noticed Jo and rushed toward him with a very fast speed, Jo took out his iron pole and got ready to strike them that suddenly one of the Rats turned left and changed his direction to attack Jo from another direction, as Jo got distracted with that Rat monster that had changed his direction, the other one bite his foot, he felt a lot of pain but could endure, after all his defense was 3 times a normal human, he was much more durable, he used his iron pole and hit it as hard as he could and then draw his knife and stabbed it, the Rat monster loosened his grip of Jo's foot and Jo was finally able to free himself, he suddenly remembered the other Rat monster and quickly looked toward its direction but he couldn't see it, it had vanished, Jo picked up the iron pillar and kept looking around that suddenly he heard a sound from behind, he quickly turned, the monster jumped toward his face to bite his neck, Jo tried to avoid him and fell on his back and lost the iron pole, the monster rushed towards him and was about to bite his face that Jo used his hands to defend his face, the monster bite his left hand, the monster's mouth full of teeth was had completely drenched in his skin, his powerful bite had reached to Jo's bones, Jo could feel his hand getting ripped off, he kept hitting the monster in the head with his right hand but it was no use, he suddenly noticed behind him is the corpse of the other Rat monster he had killed and his knife was right there in its corpse!, he tried to reach it, it was very a bit far, he struggled a bit but finally was able to reached it and picked the knife and shoved it through the monster's skull as hard as he could, the monster gradually loosened and let go of his hand"

Jo: "AHHH, my hand, it hurts, oh my god, it hurts"

After a few minutes, his breath gradually started to get steady and he came to his senses, the battle was much harder than he had expected, but he had survived, as he started to get use to the pain he calmed down and started to remember the human corpse, but he was much calmer this time, maybe because he had just went through a battle of life and death and had lived, and so he forced himself to remain calm"
