4 Chapter 3.1 I Will Protect You. So, Please Don't Leave Me Alone
From the beginning, dying was a mistake and living was a prestige, was something they said. Promise was a wrong thing to believe in. You may not know how much pain it would take. You may not know how much you would suffer from it alone. Yes, alone… because the one who believed in those nonsense only the weakest, the worthless, the hopeless, whom none need them, was something that most of us concluded.
"Remember, your line would end after four thousand years. No matter what you do, sleep, slay, suicide, or anything, you would neither die nor vanished until these time's up." That was said by the reincarnation administrator whom Karo met right after Kami-sama's light enveloped her.
"I see that there are less who got reincarnation option, why would that, Miss Administrator?" asked Karo as she could see less and lesser visitor in the reincarnation section she's at currently.
"It was due to the management of their past deed. About ninety-eight percent would go through a long inspection while Miss Karo was in the two percent category, which is quite rare to see. You lived your life humbly with honesty and generosity, but you didn't let other step on either you or others easily. That's a few of the good mark that push you to the two percent category. Well, then…" Miss Administrator stood up from her seat. "Please choose one of these door."
In front of Karo, appeared about five door with their own unique point. The grandest was made of something gold-like with a lot of angel-like figure carved on it. Wah… what a grand door, but that's not what Karo want though…
The other door looked grand, but could not match the first one, like made of high-class wooden with a pair of silk cloth as another layer of it, made of rare jewel, etcetera. As Karo walked pass one by one and finally got what's more into her taste.
"I would like to choose this one, please."
Miss Administrator walked closer, "Are you sure, Miss? Was it not too simple for someone such as you? Why not choose this one?" said her while pointing at the door with a lot of jewels on it.
Karo shook her head, "No, this one is fine."
"Well, then, we shall depart you soon through it…" Miss Administrator's mouth moved very fast while saying some unheard language. "Farewell and may you be blessed, Miss Karo."
"Yes, thank you." Karo walked in through the door, then the door behind her closed slowly as she began to walk further.
"I'd never would guess that door would be ever chosen…"
"So, it was that door?" asked Sir Administrator who walked closer to Miss Administrator.
"Yes, many would not choose it because it was the simplest and the only one made similar to glass-like door in human world."
Sir Administrator sighed, "She's the odd one. Shall we ask the High Lord to take care of her specifically after this trial?" suggested him with a smile on his face.
"… you're as talk-active as ever, Sir Diane." Miss Administrator glanced at the male figure beside her.
Sir Administrator smirked, "Owh, please, we should award the best one once in a time, don't you think so, Miss Futari?"
"Well, then… shall we finish our work in the first place then…" Both of them walked side by side to finish their work at their own seat. But one same in mind, they should do something for the last 2% category just now in the real near future.

"Ne, why am I here again…?" Karo felt her body floating on the air. She could look the 'numbers' counted down real slow. "Why is it so slow…"
Ting…
"?" There's a 'ting' sound, similar to a small bell that Karo used to wear as accessory on her bracelet.
"What… was that…?" Karo opened her eyes, having a sneak-peek on whatever that sounded familiar to her.
There were a young boy, about age of seven, holding hand with a woman. Karo looked at the woman, a human who seemed like in her early thirty, then the little guy… demon?! Karo startled to her own word. How could that be a demon holding hand with human in the human races' territory?
"T-then… that Maou-sama… I have to have him!" stated Karo to herself with a face full of enthusiasm.
(Note : 'Maou-sama' literally means 'Mister or Miss devil', but commonly used to address 'demon lord' in Japanese, basically. Though in the real near future Karo will explain it)
Karo emitted her magic, or it could be said as transferred her magic directly to the demon boy. The demon boy turned to Karo as he pulled the human woman slowly to follow him. The demon boy got real close to Karo.
"Oh my gosh… gosh… why is this 'immature' Maou looks really good…?" Karo screamed like a fan-girl when they met their idol.
"Marione, I want this one." The demon boy said as he pointed at Karo.
"That would be two silver coins, young lad. It is pretty, right?" said the merchant or the seller to them as he handed over the necklace alias Karo to the demon boy after the human woman paid the two silver coin to him.
(Note : I use 1 bronze coin as equal as 1 US dollar. 100 bronze coin = 1 silver coin, 200 silver coin = 1 gold coin, and 1000 gold coin = 1 holy coin (usually used and produced only by the church (in this story))).
"Does young master like it?" asked the human woman. Apparently, the human woman was a maid of the demon boy.
The demon boy nodded, "Yes, I, Julian Henry Ains, feel the bond between my magic and the one stored in this necklace."
"… RRAWWWGHH…"
"YOUNG MASTER, GET AW— aghh…!" The maid got smacked by the giant hand of the monster in front of them and thrown quite far away and hit her head by a big stone nearby her.
"… Ma… rione…" The demon boy empty eyes stared at the maid as she was smakes then thrown away.
"… RAWW ROOUWW REKKKSS…" (Now, thou next) The monster slammed the demon boy, "… ughh…" Wah… danger… the Maou's still weak…
Karo was not around the neck of the demon boy, only wraping his little wrist, but that was quite enough. "Maou-sama, I will protect you well. So, please don't leave me alone." Karo said as she made her solid form out of the magic crystal.
"… w… ho…?" The demon boy looked at the vague figure of a woman smiling to him, then encountered the monsters.
Everything turned dark afterward…
