RYU AND THE METEOR

FLASHBACK

The night is priceless as they form a curve in their lips while looking at those celestial objects hanging in the dark sky.

People are gathering outside to wait for the meteor that can be seen in the naked eye as of that starry night.

Everyone you passed had a bright aura but this teenage guy walking back home seems nothing.

"People were so happy waiting for the meteor Ryu let's join them!" Bruce said, cheerfully.

He stopped so Bruce did it too then he roamed his eyes around like he never noticed those people.

"No problem to me since I haven't seen one before Ryu said with face emotionless.

" Yes, I know you're a short tempered when it comes to waiting but tonight's weather is good for sure we will see a meteor and this is so worth to wait" Bruce said, grinning trying to convince his friend because he knew what type of person it is, a type of person who had no interest at many things.

They became silent for the following minute while waiting for the meteor to pass through the sky. With those people that are evidently excited.

"What will you wish to the meteor?" A sudden question Bruce asked. Ryu confusingly looked at him "Wish?" he asked.

"Yes wish, they said a meteor will grant your wish if you will cast your wish upon the meteor while it's passing through the sky that is another reason why people are excited" Bruce briefly explained but Ryu simply smirked.

" You really believe on magical things I think it's stupid there is no way that a meteor will grant everyone's wish" He said looking so disappointed on his friend.

Bruce does a face palm as he heard Ryu's opinion

" Such a kill joy, of course meteor will not grant everyone's wish... it's about you being lucky the meteor will choose your wish" He explained then he pouted

Made Ryu laugh "Okay still stupid" he said

" Tsk" Bruce's reaction

" You know what, just wish!" Bruce said, pissed and now acting like a mad baby.

Ryu heaved a deep sigh controlling himself not to laugh because it might make Bruce angry.

"Okay fine, what will I wish then" Ryu murmured A girlfriend, maybe." Bruce immediately replied. Ryu's forehead crest

" Why will I wish for a girlfriend?" He asked confusingly.

"You're so cold on girls you know, every time that some girls tries to come close to you look at them like you're cursing them to die that's why they have no choice but to avoid you eternally being afraid for their lives" And Bruce laugh out loud after that, leaving Ryu pissed.

But suddenly the whole place became wrapped with silence so Bruce stop laughing. They look around and everyone's eyes are stuck above. There, they look up and meteors are passing through the sky like a rain pouring. A shocking moment made everyone speechless and a second passed the silence was broken by those murmur and flashes of cameras.

" Come on wish it!" Bruce exclaimed persuading him to do so but Ryu's eyebrows knitted seriously?!" He asked and Bruce immediately nodded. Ryu heaved a deep sigh like he has no choice, so he close his eyes and in his mind...

" I wish... I wish to have a girlfriend" He utter and it's like a cold breeze wind embraced his bare skin, an unknown feeling hit him. He opened his eyes, and he looked up to the sky.

"Such a strange feeling"

He walks around his dark room not making any sound but the news on the television outside his room can be heard. It's been a hundred times he heard the word meteor. In people's mouth and in television news meteor shower is all you can hear. He closed the door on his room and their silence finally came which he preferred. He combed his hair using his fingers as he finished doing a half bath.

And he dropped his body on the bed...he roamed his eyes around the ceiling. He recalls what he felt that moment when he wished to the meteor but still he can't explain

" Meteor really is beautiful huh" He murmured, but then he smirked.

" But everyone seems stupid believing that a meteor can grant their wishes such foolishness thinking it's cute when in reality most of them wished for money, power and wealth" He utter with his playful smile then he closed his eyes.

Ryu really don't believe on magical thing because for him there's no miracle, no misfortunes and no fortunes. It's just you being a living person who's doing things based on your decision.

For him magical things never exist and will never be.

But as a sun slowly rising up in a languid approach. Like a human woke up from a deep slumber, a cold wind goes inside his room and touched his skin made him feel that he still want to go on a deep sleep. He moaned as an expression that he's still sleepy, and remain his eyes closed, but then he felt like someone is there beside him, but he didn't open his eyes because it's still heavy.

Again, he got confused because he felt someone else is really there on his bed with him. He felt its breathing because its air touched his arm, so he slowly opened his eyes, and he got shocked like all of his nerves that still asleep suddenly awaken.

"AHHHHH" He shouted made that thing he saw fall into the ground, he jumped out of the bed. There, he saw a girl his not familiar with.

"Who are you? What are doing here inside my room?!" He asked, a mixed of curiosity, irritate, and fear.
