The Past

The study door was not closed tightly. Liang Xun sensed that there was someone at the door and suddenly looked up. His gaze was sharp and cold.

Jing Yao's hand that was knocking on the door froze and she instinctively took two steps back.

She had never seen Liang Xun like this and was a little frightened.

Liang Xun's expression froze when he saw Jing Yao standing at the door. He panicked even more when he saw Jing Yao retreating.

He said to the other party, "Continue to keep an eye on him." Then, he hurriedly hung up.

After hanging up, he walked up to Jing Yao cautiously.

"Baby, I didn't know you were outside the door." When Liang Xun spoke, his voice was gentle, as if he was afraid that he would scare Jing Yao if he spoke any louder.

Jing Yao came back to her senses and realized that she had overreacted just now.

However, Liang Xun's expression when he looked up was really scary. Her heart was still beating non-stop.
