1 The Beginning

CHAIZER'S POV

"Thanks God! I've already finish that one record book," I said while stretching my hands and foot.

I've been sitting here for 5 hours without moving my foot in any inch and only my hands does all the works. At last, I've finish one of record and there are more over here on my table. If you can see, it looks like a building and it covers my whole face. These are the record books that my boss had passed to me every minute.

By the way, I am Chaizer Delos Reyes. 27 years old and no permanent job. I've been involved in any kind of work. I am working hard because I want to get back our house that was mortgaged to finance my studies as an Accountant. I can't find a permanent job because I lack of experience and maybe because of my age.

I am a caregiver every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday I will be the secretary here at the Accounting Department at Daivess Company. Sometimes I receive rackets on weekends when I can.

"Aiz!" said Glen which made me surprised. He just appeared suddenly. I almost fell off on my chair.

"I'm going to have a heart attack on you, eh!" I said as I adjusted myself.

"Where is your boss?"

The boss he is asking is Director Jay, a tall, white and straight man. He doesn't like dirty surroundings and he always wants everything be on time. Before you enter his room, you need to knock three times and wait for him to answer before you can enter.

"He has a lunch meeting," I said and I continued what I was doing.

"What are you doing here?"

"Nothing! I just want to check on you how are you staying here," he said with a smile.

"Hahahaha! Are you teasing me?" then I showed him all the record books on my desk. "Did you see that? So you know what my answer is,"

"You can still do that. Fighting!"

"Take me back to Human Resources. I'd rather be there," I begged him.

"You've only been here for a month and then you're already like that," he sat down at my desk.

"Here, eat first. You forgot it's lunch time again," he handed me a burger. After he said that I looked at my watch.

"It's almost 1pm,"

"That's why I just bought you a burger,"

"Hmmmm ...," I sniffed the burger before eating it. "My day is complete,"

"Delicious?" he asked with a smile and he stood up. "I'm leaving. Enjoy your meal!"

"Thank you Glen!" I said and he walked away but he suddenly came back.

"Your boss is already here," he said and left totally.

I hurried to eat the burger and quickly hid it in the trash can. The smell was all over the office so I just perfumed it so that he could not smell when he arrive. I could hear the sound of his shoes so I adjusted myself and sat down properly and when he arrived too so I stood up to greet him.

"Good Afternoon, Sir!" I said as he passed by but I don't think he heard because there was no reply at all. "Almost that!" I took a deep breath and sat down.

I used to be assigned to Human Resources. I was also there for almost 3 years. I was just transferred here to Accounting because of my superior which is Glen. He was the one who recommended me to come here because it was my dream then to be an Accountant and he said it was my chance to experience even a secretary. I was surprised because I was immediately accepted even though I had no experience as a secretary. But they said I have accounting skills so I qualified for the position. I'm just starting out as a trainee here so it's not regular yet.

"Secretary Rey!" calls for chaos.

I immediately brought the five record books and reports. I was the one he called so I immediately went to the door and knock three times. He answered so I entered. I fix myself first.

"Sir?" I said as soon as I entered.

Here is the face of the person who did nothing but give me record books every minute. He was wearing eye glass, his wearing suit while he crossed his leg and both hands were holding record books. And here we are again.

"Please analyse this record. Give the report to me tomorrow morning. I'll be using that early in the morning," he said while his eyes are slowly pointing my desk where a new building of record books are filled in and he suddenly shake his head.

"Okay Sir!" I said and I give him the records I brought in. "By the way, Sir! Here are the analyse data from December 30, 2019; January 15, 20, 29, and 30 for this year," and I handed it to him.

"Where are the other 10 record books?" he asked while slowly putting down his eyeglasses.

"It's still on process, Sir!" I said and I took the new record books he gave me then left his room.

In every minute will he add those record books? I sat down and saw that the burger bag had not been shot in the trash. So I immediately picked it up and threw it away properly. Then I sort the files first before sitting at my desk.

"Secretary Rey!" I hadn't even sat for a minute on the bench and he called me again. I was about to enter when the door suddenly opened and it gave birth to him.

"Yes, sir?" I only said it out of shock.

He also did not speak for a long time. I could see that he was hiding something behind him so I tried to look at what but he suddenly spoke.

"Since you are not around tomorrow, just leave the reports on my desk," he said and walked back into his room.

"What's wrong with him? I thought he was going to give me food," I whispered to myself. As I was finishing my work, suddenly another lunch box arrived.

"You again!" I said to Kuya who delivered the food.

"As always," he said with a smile and then I signed what should be fixed. "Enjoy your meal!"

"I don't enjoy it anymore. You can see my table," I said.

"Nothing has changed!" he said and he left.

I opened the lunch box and saw my favorite fried chicken and rice. Egg rolls and hot-dogs are also included. As always there are notes again

"I'M STILL ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU 😀"

I just smirked and rubbed every dish, its scent and I'm anger to eat! While I was doing that I looked at my boss and caught him looking at me. I hurriedly covered it and knocked on his door. Based on his gaze, he seemed to need something.

"Do you need anything, Sir?" I shouted at the door.

"Nothing!" he said and I opened the door that just fit my head.

"Eh - - -"

"Just continue what you're doing," he only said and I was about to close the door when he called me again. "Secretary Rey!" and I immediately came back.

"Yes, sir?"

"Don't leave any dirts," he said and I just nodded then closed the door completely and went back to my seat. When I sit down, I simply eat while working. About a few minutes later, my phone rang. I answered.

"Hello!"

"Aiz, can you pick up Sami at their school?" please of Ate Lourdes, mommy of the child I am caring of. "Because they will be come home early but I'm still here at the factory when he comes home."

"I'm back!" said Marie, my Trainer.

"All right, Ate. I'll pass by Sami later." I said and he dropped the call. "Are you done eating?" I casually asked her.

I'm a little young than her but we have good vibes. Even though this is our relationship with each other, she does not make me feel that she is my Trainer and I am her Trainee.

"Yes, you won't eat?" she asked me as she walked to his desk.

"I'll just eat,"

"All right, I'll do that first. Eat first," she said.

She was kind to me so we became close. She took the files I was finishing and brought them to her desk while I continued eating.
