5 The Raven Rum Inn's Owner's Problems

Argus enters the Raven Rum inn. Surprisingly there's no customers. As he's looking around the empty tavern he sees Saia. "Hey Saia." Argus calls out to get her attention. "Oh Argus it's good to see you again." She says. "Why is it so empty in here?" He asks. "Oh I've closed down the Tavern for tonight I'm going to go meet with some people…" she says with a pained expression on her face. "I was kinda hoping to get a room to sleep in tonight." He says. "Oh okay then." Saia goes to a room behind the bar and returns with a key she throws it towards Argus. "There you go stay as a long as you want." She says smiling. "How much will it cost?" Argus asks "Nothing." she says. "Umm that's a strange way of running a business you know." Argus says. "Believe me with that gold bar you've help me alot." She says with tears in her eyes. "All I did was pay." "Yes but I can finally…." *ding ding ding* she looks at the clock. Its striking the hour mark. "Oh i gotta leave I'll be back soon though and when I get back I'll make you a meal." She says then runs out the door. "Hmm. (What's this strange feeling of joy.)" Argus thinks to himself. Then enters the room and lays down on the bed with the door to his room open. He opens a gate and takes out a book labeled Journal 1 he flips it open to the first page it's titled my beginnings. He's reading what he wrote when he was 18 years old. "God this handwriting is terrible." He says to himself. He gets caught up reading his journal and four hours pass. The clock in his room dings two times indicating its 12 o'clock. "(I wonder if Saia's back yet?) He thinks to himself as he walks out of his room.

Back in the main area Argus is looking around but there's no sign that anyone's been here. "Hmm." Argus hears a bang on the front door and he walks to it and opens it when he does he sees Saia laying there on the ground beaten and bruised. "Saia!" Argus said concerned. "Uh.. They.. Lied to me…" she says in pain. "What happened?" Argus asks but she barely speaks. "Hold on." Argus says as he picks her up the he lays her on his bed. It seems she's unconscious. She's bleeding badly and has a collar around her neck. Argus holds his hand up ready to cast a spell. "...." He then realizes in all his time he's never learned any healing spells. He then opens a gate trying to take a potion out but he has no healing potions. "Damn." He then opens a bigger gate and steps through it. Now he's in Gavin's office. Then there's a scream in panic it's from Gavin he's still in his office. About to leave. "Why are you here?" He asks startled. "Where does Meldy live." Argus says in a hurry. "Uh 899 Leaf Street." Gavin says. Argus opens another gate and walks in it. He's outside of Meldy's house he walks up to the door and with a wave of his hand he blows the door away. "Meldy where are you." He yells running through her home. "Argus??" She says from a room. Argus blows away that door as well and behind it is the bathroom with Meldy wearing a towel. "There you are." He says grabbing her arm. "What are you…." Argus has already brought her to his room. Meldy looks around and sees Saia laying there bleeding. "What happened?"she asks. "Unsure can you heal her?"Argus asks. "Right!" Meldy rushes over to Saia. She touches her stomach and says " I summon the Gods Blessing save this soul Godly Restoration." A bright white light shines and Saia's body heals and Meldy falls to her knees. "Ah ah I'm out of mana I used the best spell I had she should be fine." Argus sighs in relief.

Saia wakes up and has tears in her eyes. "You're okay" Argus and Meldy say at the same time. "What happen?" Meldy asks. "The slave traders they….. Lied to me. I went to go free my sister from them. They said the day you bring a gold bar is the day we'll release her. But it was a lie when I met them one slapped this collar around me and made me a slave. I fought back and they beat me up I found an opportunity to escape and I did. Then I made my way back here and then I remember Argus bringing me in here." Saia says. "Were they humans?" Argus asks angrily. Saia nods then covers her eyes with her arm and starts crying. Argus walks over to her and puts his hand on the collar then he snaps his fingers and the collar unlocks. "You removed the collar." Meldy asks. "Yeah." He says picking up the collar. "But the magic that protects it is very powerful." She says. "Did you forget who I am?" Argus asks. Then he gets up and is about to leave. "Where are you going?" Meldy asks. Argus turns and faces her. She sees rage in his eyes and she flinches from it. "I'm going to pay a visit to our friends." He says holding the collar up. Then he opens a gate and walks through it. "Wait." Meldy says as the gate closes. "Meldy why are you wearing a towel?" Saia asks. "Oh Argus teleported to my house. At first I was wondering why he was in a rush but when I saw you I knew. I'm glad he did even though the timing was bad." Meldy says to Saia with a smile. "He said he was going after the slave traders what will he do when he finds them?" Saia asks. "Uh…. Well there's no telling but I think those guys would be lucky if they lived. After seeing his eyes I don't know what to think." Meldy says then she glances around a sees a book "hmm what's this?" She picks it up and flips it open.

Meanwhile the slave traders are looking for Saia. "Grrr where did that elf go." One says. "It's your fault she got away." "The Hell you say...." Their talk gets interrupted by

A black circle that appears in front of them. Argus steps out in front of the three slave traders. "Who the hell are….." Argus waves his hand a blast of wind slices two of them in half their bodies falls to the ground with a thud. The last remaining one screams and tries to run off. Argus charges after him and slams him into a wall. "You've hurt a friend of mine and tried to make her a slave." Argus says with anger. "Hey look man you know how it is the demi's are just… uh look you and I are humans let's just talk it out." He says begging for his life. Argus pulls the man closer to his face and the man looks into his eyes. "Y.Y..YOUR A LICH!" He says in terror. "Tell me where your hideout is." Argus demands. The man tells him and argus drops him and he falls on his butt. "Your gonna let me..." then Argus kills him with his wind. Then he opens a gate and walks through it.
