12 Splitting Up The Party & Ninja Skills

They make it back to city walls that's been engulfed with flame and they hear screams of panic. "how do we get past this fire?" Quasar asks. "Argus can open a gate." Meldy says. "I can but we don't know how safe it is. But I do have a plan." He says then blasts a hole in the wall of fire. That starts to close "Go" Argus says and runs through.

Argus goes through first then Gavin, Gaz, Meldy, Vanessa, then Quasar and Ash. The others stayed at the church. "Woah that fire wasn't that bad." Gaz says. "That's because of the potion. That's Hellfire normally it would engulf you and you'd burn to ash." He says intimidating everyone.

"Anyways it's time to split up." Quasar says. As he says that a fire elemental crashes into Gaz. "Shit!" Gaz breaks free and Argus destroys the thing with wind.  "I know I don't need to stress this but don't let them touch you." Argus says.

"We need to be more on guard." Quasar says. "Okay time to split up." Argus and Ash turn towards the castle. "Argus keep her safe or I'll end you." Quasar tells Argus. "Same." He looks at them and Quasar gives a nod.

The two groups run in opposite directions.  

Quasar looks back at Ash then faces forwards running past Gaz taking the lead. As they turn down the street they see fire elementals looking for people to devour. Then they spot Quasar's group and they charge.

Releasing a light blade he cuts one down then turns to another. Gaz takes one out with a weak sword art. Vanessa waves her hand and says "Drain Force." Extinguishing the fire "These aren't too bad to take out." She says slaying the last one.

Then from around the corner 4 demons attack them their much tougher to take down. Vanessa hesitates remembering what Argus said about them being humans who were eaten by the fire elemental.

She gets stabbed by a fire blade. "Ahh damn." She says trying to counter attack but to no avail. Then Quasar smacks it away from Vanessa and Meldy heal her.

"Shit" Gaz says slicing a demon. "Force seal." Gavin says compressing a demon into a clump of flesh killing it.

From a different corner three people round it being chased by some elementals.

After about 10 minutes they've slaughtered the demons and fire elementals saving those people. Then some castle knights show up trying to help the people.

"Aren't you castle knights?" Quasar asks.

"Yeah a crazy demon has taken over the kingdom we couldn't defeat him so we chose to wait with him." A knight says. "But this is too far." Another says.

"We're here on King Kynz's order to help." Quasar says. "He's alive?" One says amazed.

"Yeah we found him yesterday." Meldy says.

"You have our thanks." One says. "There are other knights helping citizens around town."

"We have a team heading to fight Alvon." Quasar says. "I pray they can do it." The Knight says. "I don't know about Argus but I hope Ash can handle it." Quasar says. "Sir Quasar I've seen what Argus can do so I know he'll come through." Meldy says.

The knights hear Quasar's name and are shocked that He's here.

Their conversation gets interrupted by a gate opening up out steps Erith and a hellhound grabs a knight and rips off his arm.

"Ahhh my arm grrrahhh" he screams in pain.

Erith is surprised to see Meldy and Gaz again. "You two I'm surprised Argus let you live." She says to them. "what do you mean?" Gaz asks.

"Hehe well whenever there was a human well they wouldn't live for long so I guess he liked you enough." She says

"Listen hear demon I will not let you hurt anyone else." Quasar says. "Well I was ordered to support Alvon and his endeavors but I hate him with a passion so I'm just feeding my pets." She says signalling her hounds to attack.

Three hounds charge at Quasar snarling and snapping. "Fortress." Gaz takes the initiative and blocks the hounds and with one swing Quasar slays them.

"My pups why does everyone treat them so bad? I guess I sense great power from you therefore I'll introduce myself before I kill you. I am Erith one of the Nine demon generals and the most dedicated to our lord."

"What you worship as a lord I see a deadly creature bathed in darkness." Quasar says.

"Well with Lord Galith's injuries there's not much he can do now all because of Argus." She fumes with anger.

Quasar raises his blade readied to attack.

Argus and Ash charge full steam ahead towards the castle. "Did you learn anything pipsqueak." She turns and glares at Argus. She forms a hand seal and a cloud of smoke appears around her. "Smokebomb okay that's a good start. What about your razor wire?" He asks. She pulls something out from her pocket it looks like thread wrapped around a small piece of wood.

"Let me see it." Argus says and ash hands it over. "It's not enchanted?" He asks shocked. She shrugs  "Did you mooch off of Quasar the whole time?" He asks and she looks at the ground. "Well I'll enchant this for now but you should use magic thread instead." He says.

Ash looks confused. "Right you know nothing about magic. Why don't you ask Quasar."

She stops moving and stares at Argus. "Ah right your a mute man your useless." He says insulting her even more.

While they're stopped Argus pours some of his mana into Ash's razor wire. "This should be able to kill a demon or fire elemental." He says.

She nods understanding and they start to move again.

They make it to the castle. "Now we just need to get to the throne room." He says. Ash points at the ramparts and she pulls her scarf off and it unravels to a rope with 3 hooks on the end. She throws it to the ramparts and it connects and sticks in the wall.

"See that's a cool magic item." Argus says. Ash gives a thumbs up and starts climbing the rope. After she's up Argus climbs up.

She rolls her scarf up and wraps it around her neck and mouth again.

From the top of the castle they find a staircase going down. Once inside they climb up to the rafters moving fast. Then they spot two demons on patrol.

Ash uses her hand and with two fingers she imitates walking with it then she does the cut throat sign. Argus looks at her confused he puts his hands up. She rolls her eyes then the demons walk underneath them.

In a flash she vanishes and then reappears holding her wire and with the slightest tug the two demons get sliced in two. She's shocked by how powerful her wire is.

They jump down and go into the throne room once inside they grapple up again to the rafters and moving silently they see Alvon sitting talking to Erith.

"Ahaha Galith understands." Alvon says delighted. "Silence this is the one order I don't want to follow." Erith says annoyed. "Now now if Galith orders you to assists me then you do it. Alvon says.

"Hmph I'm going to go feed my beasts." She says opening a gate and walking through it.

"AHAHAHAH." Alvon laughs.

"Stay here if any demons approach take em out." Argus says. She points at him. "I'm going for him."

Then Argus Jumps down landing in front Alvon.
