22 Galith's Successor & Ash's Village

In the ancient temple Tartarus Galith is making moves for a successor. Day after day his life is slowly ending and his time is almost up. "Erith is the ceremony ready?" He asks. "Yes my lord. Hazel and Cyel are bringing the final piece." Erith says.

"Good." Galith sees a complete magic circle on the ground with various runes and a triple pentagram in the center.

A gate opens and two young looking girls walk out carrying a large wooden box. The two girls are twins one has blonde hair the other brown. The one with the blonde hair her left eye is blue and her right is red. While her twin has the opposite.

"Hazel, Cyel hurry master Galith is waiting." Erith says to the two. "Grr hey next time you can go dig up a grave."  The girl with the blonde hair said. "Cyel I didn't ask for lip." Erith says to her. "Y.y.yeah Cyel w.w.we should b.be greatful.." The one named Hazel says lacking confident.

They put the wooden box on the magic circle.

"Erith gather all the remaining demon generals they need to be here to greet my successor." Galith says. "Right." Erith disappears into a gate. After a few minutes six gates open.

Galith looks around. "Erith, Cyel, Hazel, Kyse, Alpha, Bravo, Sigma, Elyse thank you for gathering on such short notice." Galith says.

"Well we wouldn't be good generals if we didn't follow our commanders orders." the one named Sigma says he's wearing orange robes he has grenade-esk vials hanging off of his belt.

"Yes well I won't be your commander for much longer as we all know Argus has put me in the grave. And with Alvon dead I have nobody else to pass down my will. So I will use my remaining power to revive Algrim." After Galith says that the demon generals seem shocked they have never met the first demon lord Algrim.

"Algrim huh." A women with brown hair and red eyes says. "Yes Elyse I suppose you're the only one who has met Algrim." Galith says. "Yeah well I was there before Algrim was demon lord back then it was just me Algrim and Argus." Elyse says.

Just mentioning Argus's name makes the others angry.

"Elyse you don't seem to happy isn't Algrim your brother." Erith says. "My brother died when Argus gave him power he became something… Unpleasant." Elyse says.

"He became the demon lord. How is that unpleasant?" Erith says. "Argus corrupted him I know he did Algrim was a peaceful guy. Next time I see Argus I'll end him." She says with a  serious tone.

"Aren't you both Liches?" Cyel asks. "So what we have no loyalties towards each other." Elyse says.

"All right I'm starting the resurrection after he returns I will be no more so he'll take over my place it's been a pleasure working with you all." Galith says.

Everyone bows with respect towards their lord.

Galtih pours his power into the magic circle all the runes light up red and so does the pentagram Galith starts to fade to dust finally he's no more.

The top of the wooden crate lifts up and rises Algrim he's wearing the same red and purple robe he wore when he lost to Quasar it has a giant hole in it where the holy sword Cracked Light impaled him at.

He puts his hand on his head. "Why do I feel so weak? Argus." He calls out then he looks around and sees eight people looking at him he only recognize one of them.

"Elyse what's happening." He asks. "You've been revived tell me what do you remember." She says to him.

Algrim closes his eyes "I remember fighting the Holy hero." He says. "It seems you also remember Argus." She says.

"Yeah where is he I don't see him in here." He says. "He's our enemy now." Elyse says.

Algrim makes a face of displeasure." So who are all of you." He asks.

They all introduce themselves. "We are your demon generals. We live to serve you lord Algrim." They all say.

"My own Army seems things have escalated since I died." He says.

2 and a half days have passed Argus's group are traveling with the Kyzan Knights and the Academy teachers and students. The first day on the road has come to an end and Argus has taken up first watch along with Vanessa.

They sit in a tree observing the campsite keeping watch while chatting. "Do you find it strange like I do that we've seen three centuries?" Vanessa asks. "Honestly time has passed in a blink of an eye for me." Argus says almost downcast reflecting on his past.

"But we've both seen so much." Vanessa adds. "After researching recipes for potions I haven't had a major break through."

"On what?" Argus asks. Vanessa turns to Argus staring into his eyes. "You think I don't remember the day we split up and went our own ways." She says.

"..." Argus is silent. "I know what's in you and I don't ever want to see it again." She says. "Well I split my power with Algrim and I've been in control since then. But recently it's been talking to me in my nightmares so it's coming back." Argus tells Vanessa about his power that he's been keeping secret about.

"I know I can rid it from you if not I wouldn't have been looking into it for all these years." Vanessa says.

"Stop worrying about me I don't plan to be around for much longer." Argus says. Vanessa looks at him with a confused look. "What are you talking about?" She asks. "Don't worry about it just like you I've been researching something and once I can cast it that'll be it." He says.

"No you can't…" "Once I get all my power back I'm going to erase Slave magic from this planet." He says.

Suddenly a voice says in Argus's head. "Hahaha once you get your power back it'll be back to destruction."

Argus ignores it "on second thought Vanessa I will need your research once I rid Discord from my body I'll be able to free the world." He says.

"Okay...But…" Vanessa has something else to say. Argus looks at her she moves in closer and whispers in his ear. "But you'll need a legacy." She says.

Now Argus has a confused look on his face. "What do you mean my legacy will be in history." He says.

"A child." She says. Argus's face has gone red normally he's unaffected by women but when it comes to the one he loves he can't play it cool. "A kid huh… I suppose." He says.

Vanessa has a smug grin on her face clearly thinking of something. "But only when I regain my power." He adds. Her grin instantly fell. "How long will that be?" She asks. "Don't know could be a few more centuries." He says.

"Ugh… well I've waited this long what's another few centuries." She says.

Alright well I can handle the watch go get some sleep." He says. "Alright I need my beauty sleep." She says before she jumps out of the tree she gives Argus a kiss on the cheek. "Good night." She says.

Argus lets out a sigh.

A few hours pass and Ash wakes up she looks around and sees her friends sleeping around her she gets up quietly and makes her way over to the tall tree where Argus is currently perched she easily scales the tree.

"I'll take the next shift." She says. Sitting on the branch next to Argus. "okay" he says. Before getting up he asks Ash about her village.

"Oh.." A little surprised she starts to speak. "It was called West Rose it was a small village not close to any kingdom's which I guess was the reason it fell." She says.

"West Rose." Argus says out loud then he remembers where he heard it. "Elyse…" he says. "Who?" Ash asks. "Elyse she's a Lich and a demon general she captured people from that village when it was under attack.

Ash has gone silent. "And it was my equipment that she used to ensue chaos. I'm sorry Ash I'm part responsible for your village." He says.

"....You didn't attack though...Right!?" She asks. "No but I'm still part of it I won't deny." He says. He can see Ash shaking. She takes a deep breath. "Well I'll have to end this Elyse. She's responsible right?"

"Yeah." He says. "Okay then I trust you Argus you didn't need to ask the question you could've just left. But now I know who to get revenge on." She says.

"Right well have fun with the watch." He says and jumps out of the tree.
