3 Demi Humans And The Academy Grounds

As they continue their way through the Kyzan kingdom Argus saw that there was just as many demi humans as regular humans roaming the streets. "It seems the population of demi and humans are about half." He says. "That's right this kingdom doesn't discriminate against demi humans." Meldy says. "I've been to small villages before and before I burned them to the ground I would always see demi's working like slaves." Argus said. After a second of silence Gaz speaks up. "Well Slavery is a giant problem outside of the kingdom though it disgusts me when I see travelers with slaves and I know there's nothing I can do to help." "Why not?" Argus asks. "Well Slavery is accepted everywhere if you freed a slave from someone it's like stealing property." Gaz says disapprovingly. "Huh you humans haven't changed much in 300 years. By yourself your weak but together your strong but when the strong are corrupt it only causes suffering." Argus says almost scolding them. "King Kynz also hates the discrimination that's why his kingdom is the only one that's treats the as equals. Like you said most strong are corrupt but our king is trying to change that." Meldy says with respect. "Interesting I want to meet the king. I assume you will meet with him yes?" Argus asks. "Of course more likely that'd be tomorrow." Gaz says. "Don't leave me behind. Or else." Argus says. Meldy and Gaz gulp.

They finally arrive at the academy. "Here we are this is Kalos academy." Meldy says. "Its grander than I imagined." Argus says. To his surprise the main campus had 3 large building and branching off of that was 5 smaller building and on the center building a tower stood high. "What did you imagine?" Gaz asks. "I was expecting 2 or 3 building but they'd be run down." He says. "What we told you we're the fourth best academy on this continent." Meldy says. "That's exactly when I think fourth I don't think grand." Argus says honestly.

They make their way to Gavin Zeddic's office headmaster of the academy. Meldy knocks on the door. "Come in" Gavin says. Once they enter they see a man wearing glasses he has unique clothes and a strong magical aura around him. "Ahh Meldy, Gaz your back." He has gives a warm welcome. "And who is this?" He say in a polite tone. "Uhh well this is…" Argus cuts Meldy off. "Argus." He says. "Nice to meet you." Gavin greets him properly. Then he continues and asks about the demon lord.

"Ah well he's badly wounded but if it weren't for the kindness of a Lich we wouldn't have survived." Meldy says. "A Lich they don't show kindness in any capacity. Maybe it was trying to trick you because all Liches are Evil." Gavin says. Meldy and Gaz Look at Argus he seems a little annoyed. "Ah Gav Argus is the Lich." Gaz says. "Uhh…. Um…." Gavin looks at Argus. "But Liches are suppose to have an immense aura about them." Gavin says. Then Argus removes his necklace and suddenly the pressure of his aura crushes everyone with fear. Then he puts it back on and his aura disappears. "Ah s.s.sorry Sir Argus." Gavin grovels at his feet. "Don't worry about it and you're not wrong all liches are evil they've given up their humanity for immortality or rather for a longer life span." Argus says. "You see Gavin Argus here was bored of being evil and wanted to see what good looks like." Meldy says. "So he's just bored of it." He looks at Argus. "Anyways I fatally wounded Galith but one of his servants saved him that servant was also the one who killed the other's that was sent." Argus says. "You two were the only survivors?" Gavin asks. Meldy gives a nod then says "we did bring back the fallen so we can give them a proper burial." The atmosphere of the room as sunk and it's starting to feel uncomfortable. "Well I won't keep you." Gavin says. "Its okay if we show Argus around right?" Meldy asked  "Do I even have a say in it." Gavin says. "Nope." Argus says and walks out.

"I'm going to the training area its 3:00 pm so my students should be there." Gaz says. "Alright my kids should be in class still but with the sub I think I'll show Argus around before I return to them." Meldy says. Then they part ways. Meldy is giving Argus a tour of the grounds mostly it's classrooms so nothing of major importance. Then they approach one of the three Alchemy labs Argus senses a familiar aura but he can't place it. As Meldy leads him into the lab they see a beautiful woman with two curved horns protruding from her head she's wearing a lab coat to the average eye she was a beautiful demon demi but to Argus. "Oh no…." He says the demon turns her head and sees them with an excited voice she screams. "Argus is that you!" "Its Vanessa its goo...." Before he could finish she'd pounced and hugged her old friend. Confused Meldy asks. "You two know each other." "Yes unfortunately." Argus says. "What your not happy to see me." She says pouting. "I'm still annoyed from your.. Tricks." He says. "Come on that was 300 years ago how long do you hold a grudge?" She asks. "Another few centuries will suffice." "Wait Vanessa your over 300 years old?" "Uhh… um… oh yes demons have a long life span that's it." Vanessa says. "Well I have heard of that but I didn't think it was that long." Meldy says. "An average demon lives around 180 years." Argus says. "Well i'm an Archdemon." Vanessa says triumphantly. Argus gives a look of disbelief then says. "Archdemons are evil and only live around 240 years." Then with a twisted grin he asks. "You haven't told them what you are have you? hehehe." "Uhh um so the weather is nice today." She tries to change the subject. Meldy is still confused. "She's a ..." Vanessa puts her hands over Argus mouth. He snaps his fingers and she's restrained. "Vanessa I think I'll forgive you if you let me say." Argus says. "I would prefer if you didn't." She says. "Huh you don't want me to forgive you." He says acting shocked. "Uhh fine…" she says. "She's a Greater devil." he says. Vanessa has a surprised look on her face. "She powerful like me I guess she didn't want to scare people." Argus says. "I see well I won't that affect our friendship." Meldy says with a smile. "Meldy isn't about time you go see your students?" Argus asks. "Oh right but what about you." She asks. "I'll catch up with Vanessa. Also if don't see you again today I'll be staying at that inn so make sure you get me so I can meet the king." Argus says. "Right see you later." And with that Meldy leaves the two.

"I thought you were about to expose me." Vanessa says. "I was but I came here to try to be good and exposing you wouldn't be a good thing all it would do is make me feel better." Argus says. He removes her restraints and she jumps up and gives him another hug. "I knew you couldn't stay mad with me after so long." She says. "So help me if you invade my dreams again I'll do more than expose you. You Succubus." Argus says annoyed. "Hey I only use those powers ever 20 years or so just so I can stay young and healthy." She says. "Also I see you've become powerful compared to the old days." "I've had 300 years to become strong." he says.
