1 A Bored Lich and The Demon Lord

In the ancient temple Tartarus a slaughter is happening. "Sir Gaz are you okay?" Asked a woman wearing a white robe and holding a staff. "Ah ah yeah this bastards tough. How are you holding up Meldy?" Said a man wearing heavy armour equipped with a shield Blade. "I'll be fine but there's no response from the others." Said Meldy. "We don't have time to worry we just have to trust them for now we need to kill this Lich.

Meanwhile inside the Lich's head "hmm I wonder what to eat later? Or maybe I should go out and attack a village. No there's nothing to do." All while the Lich is thinking this he's dodging grand magic attacks and demon slayer sword skills .

"Shit this creature keeps dodging." Gaz said out of breath. " Gaz I'm running out of mana I can only use one or two more grand spells. Said Meldy.

The Lich Finally Speaks to the two Adventures. "Why are you here?" "Do you even need to ask that we're here for the demon lord." Said Gaz. "Oh you want Galith I'll summon him here for you then." Said the Lich. "If he summons the demon lord here we might be done for." Said Meldy. "If only our friends were here I'd feel more confident." Gaz replied. "I'll summon them as well." The Lich said and with a snap of his fingers Meldy and Gaz's friends appear only one is barely alive. It looks like they've been a snack for something. Meldy scream in fear at the sight of her friends bodies. "What the HELL did you do to them? Gaz yells at the Lich. "I've done nothing but summon them here. It seems like they've found Erith and her beasts." Suddenly a gate opens up beside the Lich and a woman wearing black and red steps out. "Argus what's the meaning of taking my pet's food away?" The woman demanded an answer. "They wanted their companions here so they can face Galith." The Lich named Argus replied. "Why did you listen to these humans for?" The woman asked again. "Hmm cuz they keep slinging spells and sword arts in my room destroying my nice things. And if all they want is to fight Galith I say why not." Argus said. The woman summons three hellhounds and they pounce at Argus. "Erith you dare try to attack me with these weak creatures. Do you want to die." As Argus says that a toxic aura spreads through the room.

Erith reels from it and her hellhounds disappear. "Grrr Argus your starting to piss me off." "I don't have time for you Erith." Argus snaps his fingers again and Erith is teleported away.

Meldy and Gaz have a troubled look on their faces. Meldy tries to heal her friend but to no avail. "Hey Meldy don't worry about me you and Gaz need to defeat the demon lord…." their friend said in his final breath. "No no no." With tears in her eyes Meldy holds her friend tight.

Gaz looks at Argus and says "why have you not made a move Argus was it." "Because I'm very bored if I killed you that'd be that though I've never been one who's liked magic I find it mundane." Argus says to Gaz. Meldy speaks up "how can you think magic is mundane it's amazing even an art." "How can it be art all I see is destruction not one spell you've used could be called art." Argus says. "It's true I've used destructive spells but whether it's destroys or saves magic is an art. Most people strive to create their own unique magical spells." Meldy tries to convince Argus. "Their own unique magic. Even if they alter the magic all it is is a copy from the past." Argus replies.

Then another gate opens and out steps a giant demon coated in a sinister aura

"Sir Argus Erith tells me you've betrayed us" Galith says. "Betrayed don't make me laugh I've never been on your side I'm on my own side." Argus tells Galith. Then out steps Erith from the gate "you have always been a strange one Argus but to say such words in front of our lord. Erith says in a disapproving tone. "I've said before why I'm here and never did I say I was a lackey." Argus says "your only here to sate your boredom." Galith says "anyways these human want to fight you I was about to summon you here." Argus changes the topic. "Lord Galith you can't let Argus get away with this." Erith says. "Your right Erith first i'll kill Argus then these humans."

Galith summons a black blade of aura and rushes Argus. Argus stands still the blade slashes through him however it was bent around Argus instead of slicing him in two. Galith points his blade at Argus and evokes a spell "be consumed by the abyss that houses all darkness. Black Silence." As a black dot surrounds and engulfs Argus' body he blinks out of this plain of existence and into the abyss. ("Ahh so this is the abyss huh") Argus thinks to himself

"Amazing Lord Galith you've killed Argus." Erith says thrilled. "Yes though we lost a powerful comrade." Galith says disappointed

"Gaz what do we do?" Meldy whispers "I'm afraid this is where we meet our end." Gaz says. Tears fall from Meldys face

"Now it's your turn to die. You should have never opposed me." Galith rushes with his Aura blade and is about to cut them down

Inside the abyss

"I invoke the gods for answers send thy soul through this plain and find me the one known as Galith… Send him the rage that surrounds this darkness and let that feed on his soul. Invoke Death" Argus unleashes a god tier spell

As Galith is charging Meldy and Gaz suddenly he stops in place and a beam of red light shoots from his body slowly tearing him apart. Then a gate opens and Argus steps out

"Lord Galith!" Erith calls but now Galith is on the ground being consumed by this red light. "What did you do Argus!?" Erith yells. "Invoke Death." Argus replies. "Ahhh you used invoke death grrrraahhh if you were this powerful why didn't you become a demon lord.." Galith asks

"I have had no desire to destroy anything anymore after 300 years of this there's nothing left to do." Erith grabs Galith and opens a gate and they disappear.

"Hmm what to do now…." Argus think to himself. Meldy and Gaz are in shock after seeing the demon lord on the brink of death after one attack. Then Argus walks over to them. They just stare at him unsure of what to do. "So what's it like to be an adventurer?" He asks them

Gaz Gulps. Then Meldy speaks up "um its uhh." Lost for words she can't think. "Then let me ask you this what is it like being a hero?"

Argus asks. Gaz answers "it's an amazing feeling to protect people and do nice deeds."

"Hmm and what is it you two do when your not getting your ass beaten?" Argus asks. "We are professors for the Kyzan kingdoms academy." Meldy says. "So you waste your time teaching brats what magic and sword arts even though you two can't hit anything. Seems like a flawed system don't you think." The two seem embarrassed after Argus says that. Argus turns and faces the entrance "it seems the others are coming here."

"Others?" Meldy asks

"Yes all the demon generals." Argus says

"Well I guess it's time to leave let me offer you this let me see this academy and I'll teleport us to the Kyzan kingdom or if you refuse I'll leave you here to fight the 9 generals."

Meldy and Gaz look at each other unsure of what to do

"If we let you, you can not hurt anyone in the Kyzan kingdom." Meldy says

"Didn't you hear me before I have no interest destroying anything anymore. In fact I want to see what good looks like."

"one more thing if you come you need to conceal your power." Meldy says

"Fine." Argus reaches into thin air and opens a gate and pulls out a necklace and puts it on the second he does all his magic power disappears.

Convinced Meldy and Gaz gives him the okay to teleport out
