9 A Balanced Breakfast & The Crimson Phoenix

There's a knock on the door to Argus's room. "Argus Lilly isn't in her room." Saia said worriedly. Hearing the banging on the door Argus gets woken up. He looks over and sees Lilly sleeping holding his arm.  

"She's in here." Argus says as Saia breaks in the room. Saia sees Lilly sleeping and is relieved. "Oh man I was terrified when I saw her door open and she wasn't in there. She says.

"Yeah well she said she couldn't sleep so I told her some stories." He says. "You really are a nice guy aren't you." Saia says with a smile. "I wouldn't say that she just reminds me of a friend that's all."

Argus moves Lilly aside and gets out of bed he also pulls the covers over her. Saia looks at him with a smile. Argus notices and says "I'm not as good as you think I am." He says walking past Saia.

As the two walk down the hall towards the tavern area Saia asks "Hey Argus why did you help me last night. I mean you had no obligation to." "well you know how I feel about slavery and well… this is kinda embarrassing but I don't have many friends and seeing one hurt by the thing I hate the most well…"

"We're friends?" Saia asked surprised. "Are we not? Well I'll consider you a friend even if you don't." He says. "Wait I didn't mean it like that I mean of course we're friends I was just surprised to hear you say that." she says

"If we weren't friends I wouldn't have forgiven you and Meldy last night in fact I may have even killed you." Argus says intimidating Saia. After gulping they arrive in the tavern area.

It's empty once again. "Where is everyone I thought they'd be up before me?" He asks. "Well I was going to make some breakfast and then I saw Lilly was missing." She says to him

"Breakfast huh." Argus says thinking. "Wanna help?"Saia asks. "Oh uh sure."

They make their way to the kitchen Saia grabs two aprons. She pass one to Argus. He equips it but it seems Saia is having a problem with hers. "Uh the strings are to short can you help me?" She asks Argus to tie it for her.

"Oh sure." He grabs the short strings and tries to tie it. After a minute or so he gets it and when Saia turns around he notices something different. "(Did her breasts get bigger?)" He thinks to himself but shrugs it off.

"Alright then we're going to make some pancakes grab the flour, Sugar, eggs, and water." Saia says to Argus. Instead of grabbing the ingredients in the kitchen he opens a gate and pulls out Life flour that boosts stamina, Honey sugar that boosts natural healing from the body, Void eggs rich in protein, and water from the great oasis said to give more magic power.

"Uh what is that stuff?" She asks. "The ingredients you asked for." He answers. She looks at the black Void eggs. "Uhhh…" she seems confused. But doesn't say anymore.

"Oh and use a little of this." He opens a gate and pulls out a potion.

"What does this do?" She asks. "Fire resistance." He says. "Wait your helping the king." She says surprised. "Didn't I say I would last night." He says confused. "You said you'll hear him out."

"Well I can't have anyone dying to Alvon though hopefully they won't see him." Argus says. "Will this potion work?" Saia asks. "It should its made by Crimson Phoenix." Argus says. "C.C.Crimson P.Phoenix the best creator of Arcane goods… his potions can sell for thousands of gold." She says in shock.

Argus then whispers in Saia's ear "I'm Crimson Phoenix by the way." She turns and faces Argus with a shocked face unsure how to reply. "Anyways." Argus brushes past what he said.

Saia is shaking still as she mixes everything in a bowl making batter. "Alright now we just pour in the pan and that's it." She says violently shaking the pan. As she does that the front door opens and in walks Meldy, Gaz, Gavin, and Vanessa.

They walk up to the bar and Argus comes out from the kitchen. "Oh I see you brought…."  Vanessa pounces on Argus tackling him to the ground. "Hey Argus." She says.

"Why do you always do that?" He asks. "Hehe" she laughs.

"Meldy has filled us in on the situation." Gaz says. "And we've seen knight gathering near the castle." Gavin added. "They know what we're facing." Meldy said.

"And so I brought potions and fire resistance cloaks for us." Gavin says proudly. "The potions are minor mana regen and stamina up top tier best in the kingdom I made em myself." Vanessa said.

With all the noise everyone wakes up and make their way out meeting up with everyone.

"Good morning everyone." The king greets everyone. Everyone kneels before him except Argus. Gavin and Gaz look at Argus unsure if he knows how to greet the king or he's just being disrespectful.

Vanessa looks at Argus and says "Appraise my potions. I'm sure you can sense the power from them." "Ehh their minor that's for sure if I had to rely on these well I think I'd rather use vitamins." Argus says mocking her.

"Argus listen Vanessa is the best alchemists in this kingdom." Gavin says.

"Though My potions could never compare to the Crimson Phoenix's." Vanessa says

"Yes I've wondered about him myself though our kingdom could never afford his potions." The king says

Then Saia walks out carrying a plate stacked with strange colored pancakes shaking. She sets it in front of everyone they all look stunned at the strange sight.

"What are these pancakes?" Seben asks. "Ask him." Saia points at Argus. "Oh just some pancakes with bonus effects. Dig in or you may die in combat today." He says.

Everyone takes a bite and they feel all the effects. Immediately they feel their skin cool off like ice covering their bodys, A powerful aura forms around everyone boosting their magic.

"Is this a tier 9 fire resistances effect." Vanessa asks. "Yeah." Argus says. "But there's only one person who can make tier 9 potions." She says.

Saia puts the potions bottle in front of everyone. When everyone sees Crimson's Seal on the bottle they almost have a heart attack. "How much did that cost?" The king asks.

"Oh right I'm Crimson Phoenix." Argus says.

Everyone stares shocked at those words. "I mean everyone needs money right." He says.

"Is that why you have gold bars?" Gaz asks.

"Yes." Argus says "anyways now that the effects have activated we need to talk about our plan of attack.
