3 Affinity System Awakens
Surrounding the glass sphere were all my cousins that clan members that are turning five this year as well and can awaken their affinity. On the left of the sphere were the parents of the kids on the right. On the right were everyone who was going to have their affinity awakened. They ranged from the servants of the Dragon clan to all the other young masters/misses of the Dragon Clan.
When we walked into the room all eyes were on us as my Dad always presides over the awakening as he is the Clan head. When everyone saw my grandfather behind me everyone in the room froze as they had not seen him in what felt like forever. Some of the younger generations may not have ever met him in their life as he spends most of his time secluded from the world. Once my dad entered the room he addressed all the members of the Dragon Clan in the room.
"Fellow members of the Dragon Clan, today is the day that you either rise like a dragon of fall to the bottom as a lizard. No matter how you were born in the Clan you now have the chance to rise or if you were born high in the clan you could fall to the bottom. It all depends on your affinity and its strength. As you all know today is the Awakening Day or Affinity Day. One hundred thousand years ago a man whose name is lost to history awakened the first affinity on this same day. He then rose in power and created the system known as cultivation. Fifty thousand years after that a woman whose name is also lost to time developed the mage system. These two methods of training your affinity have developed through the years. While cultivation enhances the body with affinity, mana enhances the mind. As a member of the Dragon Clan, you will be expected to train in cultivation, but some of your innate talents might lie in magic and we will assist you with that as well. Affinities range from levels 1-9: 1 the lowerest and 9 the highest. Some affinities are rarer than others and they are ranked one level higher than common, or even more depending on its rarity. The legendary infinity affinity has the ability to adapt to any other affinity. Now once the sun hits its zenith one at a time will come up to the glass sphere and try to put your will into the sphere, therefore, awakening your affinity."
ten minutes later
"The first one to awaken their affinity is Max Dragon. Max, please come up to the sphere."
As Max walked up to the pedestal he was breathing rather heavily. He was dressed in shabbier clothes and I assumed that he was a servant of the Dragon Clan. As he placed his hands on the sphere and placed his will into the sphere, the inside of the sphere turned a bright green. After it changed color my dad announced the affinity.
"Max, poison affinity, level 4. Next to the sphere, Aiden"

As more and more came up, some of them awakened rarer affinities, they were: sound, energy, and Jacks lighting
And then it was my turn. I was extremely nervous because I had both my dads and grandfathers reputations to live up to. My dad has a level 9 metal affinity and my grandfather has a level 9 void affinity. Void is one of the rarest abilities and it has an effective increase of 3 levels. metal has an increase of 1 level.
I walked up to the pedestal and slowly places my hands onto the sphere, my will entered the sphere and I zoned out and head a "Ding" in my head

As soon as I chose the Infinity Affinity I say the glass sphere turn into a vortex of color. The vortex grew and then sharted the sphere.
Once this happened at the same time I heard another "Ding" and a gasp through the room.
