2 Ren Lynn is dead

Ren Lynn, at the age of 15, found dead by the door of his room. The cause of death? Heart attack. The doctors attributed it to his immense fatigue from playing online games every night. However, that was merely their speculation. The truth is, he never played too much at night. It was only on that day, his birthday, did he ever tried staying up late than usual.

When Ren died, the only people who mourned were his parents, relatives and maybe his teachers. Ren being an oddball without confidence, was not able to make friends at all. Expressing his feelings was a foreign concept to him that he couldn't understand.

...

In a different world at an unnamed valley lie a stone house. The house looked like a 15th century stone house.

"I need to wake-" Ren finally woke up. Just like how he entered his room, he was standing in front of a door. The door was different than what he used to know.

"Am I insane?" Ren laughed hysterically. He thought his previous free fall from space was his brain malfunctioning.

He opened the door only to be greeted by a wondrous valley. That's what he first thought. Looking further into the horizon were people. People wearing black robes and people wearing red robes.

"???" Ren looked confused.

Suddenly a red-robbed person stabbed a sword right through the throat of a person wearing black.

"!!!" Ren immediately closed the door.

"It's time for you to wake up now, Ren, alright?" He talked to himself in a loving-way. Ren while smiling, opened up the door once again only to be welcomed back into the hellish scenery.

Ren closed the door again. He was in denial. How could staying up late to play a stupid video game get him into this mess. He opened the door but nothing changed. He was hoping that when he opened the door, the thing that would greet him would be his room.

Ren tried over and over then suddenly-

*Woosh!*

"Argh!" Ren grunted in pain.

A stray arrow made it's way to his position and grazed his arm. Blood flowed down his left arm. The pain he felt when the arrow struck his arm told him that, what he thought was a dream, an illusion, is now his reality.

'I've entered a new world. World ticket, world ticket, world ticket.' The words kept playing frantically in his head as he tried to keep close the wound with his hand.

"WHAT THE F*CK!" Ren couldn't help but shout in pain. He was done. Everything here is real, he thought. Ren sat down with his back behind the door as he tried to apply first-aid treatment on his wound which he learned in class by himself as his activity partner was absent.

"Whose clothes are these?!" Ren said as he tried to rip a piece of his clothes. What used to be a favorite indoor pokemon shirt was gone. What replaced it was a dirty, ragged shirt. He didn't even bother anymore. He ripped off a long piece and tied it over his bleeding arm.

Ren turned towards the door and watched through the cracks. It was a war. People actively went to kill each other, blood was spilled dyeing the earth crimson red. Pain was the least of his problem now. After watching, what he needed to know is the way to get out of here.

Suddenly-

"AHHHH!! My head!!" Ren's head throbbed in pain, memories of a different life flowed like a raging river unstopped by any dam.

Ren Lynn, deaf and mute, living in an orphanage in the valley together with other orphans. He never learned how to write nor read. Making friends were a disaster. Together with other kids, they worked all over the valley cultivating crops, hunting small creatures and carrying water jugs back to the orphanage. Those who failed their tasks would not receive food for the day. Ren being both deaf and mute, was slower in responding than other kids. He therefore, receive less than others, he even went through days without food nor water. What's even more depressing, his fellow orphans bullied him because of it.

One day, everyone took off running, leaving Ren behind. No one bothered to wake him up as he would become dead-weight anyways. They ran from the incoming war. Ren didn't have a place to go to and decided to stay inside. He was sick of his life, and waiting for death to come take him became his only hope.

During his last moments, war arrived. He wanted to watch the war just for the heck of it. Even then, Ren was unfortunate, he died from heart attack just a few steps away from the door.

Ren recalled all those memories and described it as torment. He shed tears as the painful throbbing faded away.

"I died.." Ren realized. He died back in Earth, and the 'Ren Lynn' here died the exact same way. However Ren's soul transmigrated over to this world's 'Ren Lynn'.

"Live!" A thought sprang out of from the deep recesses of his mind.

He believed that those were the last wish of 'Ren'.

"I need to escape!" Ren became more determined than ever, he didn't want to disappoint the owner of the body he is currently using.

Suddenly, the top part of the door exploded into flames, blasting splinters all over the house.

*BOOM!*

"Oh sweet mother!-" Ren sprinted to the side, as his heartbeat went over normal levels.

"THAT ALMOST KILLED ME!" Ren thought. He peeked his head over from time to time and found something disturbing. The people were using 'magic'. Not the tricks and misdirection but real elemental magic. Different elements clashed bring more chaos onto the battlefield. Other houses were incinerated within seconds and the nearby forests were engulfed in flames.

"It's just a matter of time before this house gets blown to bits." Ren said.

"THINK! THINK THINK! There must be something I could do." Ren was losing hope. He didn't want to die again, especially not in a crossfire. Ren looked around the house but it was empty. The windows were placed strategically high, about 10 feet from the ground making it impossible to exit from there.

Ren desperately thought of a way until he realized that, the only way was through the front door. However, it seems like Lady Luck has abandoned him for good as the war got closer to the house. Dashing out would have worked before but now, he would probably die in less than 20 seconds after he walks out.

Ren went deep into his memories until he stumbled upon something. He found a list of instructions named 'Loot box code: Ia'.
