5 A new challenger appeared!

Ren previous broken bones were instantly healed. It went back to how it was a few moments ago, right before Drey blew off the whole front part of the house. If anyone saw Ren just now, they would probably think he was some kind of monster.

"Gred, You slimy snake! come back here and return what you took from my sister!" A guy entered the house through the 'front door' shouted. It was Drey, he was wearing a red robe with a red bird at the center. Drey was 15 years of age just like Gred.

"You mean this? Oh, I didn't steal it. She gave it to me." An egg the size of a watermelon appeared on his hands as he reach it out to Drey, provoking him. The egg was white in color and at the center was a glowing red sigil which resembled a fire.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, she gave this to me because I was about to kill her favorite pet." The egg disappeared and what came after was a sword looking icicle hurling towards Drey.

Unlike Gred, Drey was in a better shape. Drey took hold of the ice sword with his bare hands. The sword melted like butter and evaporated.

"I'll kill you!!" Drey howled in anger. His hands ignited in flames and made a punch towards Gred. Flames shot out of Drey's fists.

"Oh too weak, too weak, Drey." An ice sword appeared in Gred's hand and he sliced the fireballs effortlessly.

Drey ran towards Gred and decided to fight him in close combat which he was best at. The fight was visually stunning. Ice and fire were being conjured each clash. Every ice sword conjured were melted into steam. The whole house was now part-summer, part-winter.

Ren was watching from afar, he already activated his defense talismans. Watching both of them fight made Ren retract his previous declaration of killing both of them. First of all, killing was something new to him, and as a man who lived in during the period of peace, it was difficult for him to do it anyways.

Ren saw Gred and was amazed at him, despite having 20% of health left he was still not going down. It was clear that Gred was stronger than Drey, and if he was fighting at his 100% without being cautious of critical hits, Drey would have died a several seconds after the fight started.

"Inventory!"

"Opening Inventory: 30 seconds ETA."

"This! DAMNIT!" Ren was furious at his so-called system. He only had 30 seconds left on his invisibility potion too and now it would take a full 30 seconds to open his inventory. There was no time!

"If I appear in front of them, what do I do?" Ren knew that he could never top those two. They moved faster than him, can conjure magic, and it was clear that they were stronger than him. Ren only had 3 drops of health elixir and a curse arrow. Getting hit once by an ice sword or a fireball would kill him instantly.

"I need to take one of them out and appeal to the other!" Ren thought when suddenly.

*ssssshhhh*

"Oh Drey, You're still so weak after all." Drey's body was frozen except his head and his hands were riddled with cuts.

"Can't use your hands now, yeah?" A dagger appeared in Gred's hand as he slide it at Drey's face.

"You're not getting away with this!" Gred gnashed his teeth.

"I know, that's why I'm not going to kill you. You're family is troublesome, once you truly met danger, your family would hunt me down, even my sect would not defend me. Why did you think your sister is still alive? hm?" Gred mockingly said.

"I'll wound you badly though, you'd have to be bedridden for 3 months or so. Sadly, I can't go higher than that cause I fear your family." Gred added.

Drey was too weak to reply, when Ren was engrossed in thinking for a solution. He was beaten by Gred. Gred used the steam produced by his swords and managed to mount a sneak attack. He targeted Drey's hands in those moment, ignoring his own defense. In the end of that, he managed to freeze Drey's body using 99/100 of his remaining powers and emerged victories.

Ren didn't know this but he saw it as his opportunity. As long as Gred was focused on inflicting wounds on Drey, he would be able to sneak up behind him using his invisibility potion which just ended.

"!!!"

"Withdraw invisibility potion!" Ren already positioned his hand in near his mouth. He bit off the cork of the potion and drank it instantly.

"Hm?" Gred looked behind him only to see rubble.

"I wonder where that guy ran off too? I'll kill him when I see him next time." Gred laughed and continued stabbing Drey's body with the ice dagger.

"I didn't know they would finish their fight in less than a minute. Hell, everything is going against my plans." Ren walked out of the rubble making sure he didn't step nor bump on stones.

Ren carefully approached Gred from behind and located the most vulnerable wound he had. He carefully lined the arrow, and he stabbed through.

Ren felt resistance, the arrow barely managed to pierce Gred's wound which made him jump, duck and roll away.

"WHO?!" The dagger in his hands immediately morphed into a sword and he slashed horizontally behind him. Ren left the arrow at Gred's back. Gred pulled it out and threw it.

"Useless toy."

"Come out and fight me, would you?" Gred shouted as he scanned the surrounding. Nothing. There was no signs that someone is here.

Meanwhile, Ren was on the sitting on the floor, just 3 meters away from Gred. The sword almost got him, fortunately he rolled away fast enough.

"WORK!" Ren shouted. The arrow must work Ren thought.

Gred started hurling icicles all over the house. He didn't think that the guy who stabbed him would be so close to him sitting on the floor just 3 meters away.

Gred believed that the person who tried to stab him with the arrow already left.

"Where was I?"

"Curse effect activated. High-level paralysis activated. Absolute control over body lost. Duration - 5 minutes. Target - Gred." The system rang inside Ren's head.

"WHAT THE F*CK?! PARALYSIS?!" Ren couldn't help but shout in anger.
