1 Chapter 1: The Book of Shadows

I was up in the attic, cleaning, when a book came flying at my head. I ducked and if flew to the pedestal in the center of the room. I stood and walked over to the pedestal and the book and touched the strange symbol on the cover. All of a sudden the book opened. I read the title displayed before me. "The Book of Shadows." it read. "Sounds ominous." I said as I began to flip through the pages. Just then Leo, my great grandma's Whitelighter, appeared. "Leo! Why are you here?" I asked, narrowing my red eyes.

Leo spots the Book of Shadows and asks, "What are you doing with that book Aether?" I close it and roll my eyes.

"It came flying at my head while I was cleaning the attic! You also completely avoided my question Leo. Why in the name of Hell are you here?" I snapped, losing my temper only slightly.

Leo shrugs and says, "I was summoned here by the Book of Shadows. I wouldn't of thought that it was you who found it. You are part demon after all."

I sigh and say, "Yeah well my father was a Witch just like Piper was! It doesn't matter that my mother was a damn demon, the Book acknowledges my Witch heritage not my demon heritage. Besides, my mother killed my father and I would rather be a witch than a demon."
