8 Chapter 8

I hastily ran to Cadence. She lied there on the ground still. "Cadence are you alright! Wake up!" I kept shaking her, but no response. I checked her pulse and I let out a sign of relief. She was still alive. Thank goodness.

"She shouldn't have done that... Ugh!" Edna struggled to stand up and she dusted off her robe that was covered in dust and dirt. "I'll return for an update on her condition." Edna snapped and she was gone in a second. Teleportation.

I picked up Cadence and started to carry her into my house. She was really light, so it was fairly easy to move her into my house.

"Luke?! What happened outside?! Who's going to clean up that mess?!?!?!" My dad was freaking out over the giant mess in his front yard, but I wasn't worried about that right now.

"Not now dad!" I ignored his question and went to my room. I put her on my bed and made it comfortable. Now that I realize what I'm doing, it kinda reminds me of what Sophie used to do. Yeah, she used to tuck me in bed when we had sleepovers. She let me sleep on her bed while she slept on her sofa. Till this very day I still feel bad, she didn't have to do all that everytime I came over and stayed at her house.

Knock! Knock!

"Luke...?"

It was Lily again. I was annoyed. She came at the worst time. "Ugh coming." I opened the door and she was standing there with an ice pack and some water. "Umm Luke, I brought these for that girl. After watching what happened outside I'm worried too-" After hearing those words I... snapped. "What do you mean you're worried about her? You don't even know her!! So stop trying to be apart of my life already! You already took mom and dad away from me when I needed them the most!!!"

"B- Brother-"

"Go away!" My outbreak caused Lily to drop the ice pack and cup of water. She ran away in tears.

"..." I picked up the ice pack and put it on Cadence's head. Then I grabbed the mop from the bathroom and mopped up the water and put the cup in the sink. I decided to go over to Sophie's and maybe vent to her.

When I walked into the living room I could see Lily with my Dad's arm around her. They were watching Spongebob together. All I did was ignore it. They weren't paying attention to me anyways. I left the house.

When I arrived at Sophie's house I knocked on the door and she opened it. "Oh Luke! It's nice to see you!" Sophie hugged me.

"It's... Nice to see you too Sophie." I hugged her back and walked into the house. Her mom just happened to be walking by and waved at me. Of course I waved back. We both sat in Sophie's room. It was always the first place to go whenever I came over. We played games on her Wii and liked playing with our imagination, we loved pretending we were pirates.

"So what brings you here Luke?" Sophie asked.

"Well... You know that girl Cadence? She has magical powers and got in a fight with this other girl named Edna and I guess she used too much power and she's kinda resting right now. I think she's really weak and I don't know what to do." I explained.

Sophie looked at me with a blank stare. She was trying hard to process the information. Even though more stuff happened with her knowing.

"Uhhhh. Soooo, This girl has powers?!" Sophie was shocked.
