95 Laws

As Aegis was answering questions about the supposed impossible feat, Ironwood watched him intently, Aegis could see there was hidden agenda under the generals gaze, but Aegis didn't feel anything negative from that gaze, in the truth, it was like the general held some measure of respect for Aegis, thus making Aegis even more puzzled.

"Yes, I don't plan on revealing means how to reach the space just yet."

Aegis said as he knew it would be a bad idea, after all, now that everybody knew there was a way out of this world, they would wish to run from Grimm, thus ruining Aegis plans.

"Don't you feel that's unfair for one man to hold such power?"

Asked one reporter from Vale, Aegis didn't feel any hidden motive in that question, just genuine concern.

"No, from the times long past, there were always people who held more power than others, by it kings, leaders, councils, even bandits from three hundred years ago were close to establishing their own kingdom, all of them held power that was solely there to command, by it their subjects, or their own personal one."

Aegis said and looked at the camera.

"Im no different, there aren't any laws banning me from monopolizing my means of space travel, as there was never a reason to establish such laws as it was seen as impossible."

Aegis said with an easy smile as he played with his spear that was now in walking cane form.

"And if such laws were to be established by councils? Would you give them your research?"

Asked another journalist, this one from Vacuo.

"No, I wouldn't not."

Aegis said and there was a murmur between the journalists and even Ironwood's gaze hardened but still lacked any hostile feeling.

"Isn't that treason? If it would by law you are obliged to follow."

Said Atlas journalist, from him Aegis could feel hostility, no surprise as it was a truth that Aegis practically said he would be committing treason.

"Let me ask you a different question."

Aegis said and his gaze hardened as others in the room get shivers as the temperature dropped from Aegis, who was now radiating white mist.

"If you had unparalleled in the world level of beauty as your wife that every man and woman would die just to touch her, so jealous that they would even make a law that would command you to share your wife with them, would you go willingly, or would you fight against such law?"

Aegis asked and there was silence as they tried to process Aegis words and meaning.

"Wh-what? How is this have anything to do with my question?"

Asked flabereregs journalist.

"Simple, if Council started to make laws that were purely after the men and women have done their work and wished to steal the fruits others created, How could it be fair? Yes, they could compensate me for the research my people did, but it would be still little more than unfair if they just wanted something they never ever tried to do themselves, right?"

Aegis asked and others just looked at each other as it was clear that Aegis wouldn't budge his grip on space travel.

And so it followed with questions ranging from the possibility of sharing access to space that Aegis rejected for now under the pretense that he himself was still a newcomer and until he had all bugs and errors gone, he wouldn't let others risk their lives or resources.

Then came questions about the other research avenues he or SDC made, so he told them, Gravity generators that were dust-free use, about lasers that now manned Mantle walls, about a serum that could prolong life, of course, Aegis withhold information about his true serum that could give immortality, that was just for his family and people that earned Aegis respect, which was numerous scientists/engineers who under Aegis employ worked day and night to bring marvels to the world.

Aegis still didn't tell them about the fusion generator as such golden apple was just too big for people to not go into conflict with Aegis for.

Space travel was new, an untraveled road that, even if it brought theoretical benefits, was still too young to let people start a war over, but fusion energy? Such clean and seemingly unlimited energy would make others to try everything to get their hands on.

"I have one more personal question for you, mister Schnee, is it true that you already have a sexual relationship with your family members?"

Asked Atlas journalist woman.

Aegis just raised an eyebrow, it was true he, Willow, Weiss, and Harriet didn't hide their stage of relationship from others, but how someone outside of Mansion knew about it?

Ahhhh.... Aegis thought as it clicked inside his mind.

Even if his servants were loyal and wouldn't ever sell information about him or his family, they were still humans/faunus, thus prone to rumors, and even if they wouldn't tell it to someone outside their circle, they still could tell it to someone they believed was one of them, either their family, friends, or others who didn't hold such loyalty to Schnee as them...

In truth, Aegis wasn't surprised or angry, he and his women knew it would come to light, and in truth, they didn't care, yes Willow was a little afraid it could damage the prestige of the Schnee family she created, but too was too much in love to let such matters inside their relationship.

"Yes, as you could already think, I have a romantical and physical relationship with my mother Willow, younger sister Weiss, and Harriet."

Aegis said with an easy manner, he knew it could open a new can of worms, but the rumors would be more dangerous, thus Aegis made mind to let them know who he had relationships with, after all, he knew that if he didn't tell it could hurt his mother, Weiss, and Harriet, they could think he was embarrassed or afraid of letting others know how much they progressed.

It was not worthy, image, prestige, privacy, it wasn't worthy of hurting his loved ones, thus Aegis confidently said who he slept.

"Isn't that, wrong? Im sorry I just mean, don't you feel bad, mister Schnee?"

Asked another Atlas journalist.

"Hm? No, no it isn't, at least for us, I love my family, and they love me back, and if our love is more than a familial one? Who are you or others to judge us?"

Aegis asked, there wasn't any heat in his voice as he spoke from his heart.

"It doesn't hurt anybody, and if someone wished to point fingers, well I would ask you another question, where were you when faunus were openly ostracized? Where were you when my father worked faunus to the death as some slaves? Where were you when Atlas promoted racism just because they were born differently?"

Aegis asked and there was silence.

"Yes, we are different, I, Willow, Weiss, and Harriet chose to become lovers, yes I know that even if not rare, harem is still looked down on by the society."

Aegis said and looked.

"But, we chose it, so if you judge us because of our choice, what it says about you when you judge someone just because he/she was born differently? I don't remember you questioning my father?"

Aegis asked and could see there was surprisingly some journalist who looked ashamed, it was clear some of them agreed with him.

Aegis looked and saw Ironwood who had a dazed look, Aegis knew Ironwood never agreed with racism but was shackled with his duty and oaths to Council to be able to do something about it.

Council what was mostly ruled by despots who had more interest in his father's money than the stability of their kingdom.

Others looked at Aegis with a mixture of emotions, hidden hatred, disgust, approval, shame, and jealousy?

Not surprising, Aegis thought, he knew Willow, Weiss and Harriet had fans, after all, all of them are from a wealthy family and are a more than top-tier beauties.

Aegis just smiled as he continued answering questions that came after...
