2 Reincarnation

As my unconscious body laid there in the middle of the dirt road. A man and a girl riding their horse, stopped. The man got off the horse and ran towards my body.

Hovering his left hand over my mouth to check if I were still breathing, he looked at the carriage that was still burning and saw an arm poking out of the debris. He runs over to the carriage to investigate if what he saw is what it is.

He then sees the remains of what seems to be a man and a woman holding hands, immediately realising while looking back and fourth at the bodies and the boy on the ground. He says placing his right hand on his mouth "Oh god, this poor boy" What should I do? He asked himself.

With the man out of options, he carries the boy and places him on the back of the horse. He heads towards a small town next to the city, and places the boy on a bed in his house.

Before heading to the city to report an incedent, he tells his twelve year old daughter to take care of the boy.

The man gets on his horse and rushes to the city.

Once he arrives he got off his horse and takes a breather. "Doc are you alright?" One of the guards guarding the gate asked. "Th-Theres trouble in the middle of the road" he says while catching his breath.

The guard having an idea of what Doc said, rushed towards the sheriffs office and reported to the sheriff "Theres trouble! Another one of the bandit attacks" After hearing this he gathered two of his men and Doc to head towards the incident.

Once they got there, the fire had already died out. All thats left was ashes and bones. "What do you think sheriff?" asked on of the men. "It's another bandit attack thats for sure. But why them? They would normally attack within the city, especially not in the middle of the road." The sheriff answered. This is a first for sure, make sure to write every detail down. YES SIR! The men shouted.

So? Was there any other bodies? Doc cautiously answers "No there weren't any". The sheriff looks at doc suspiciously and says "I see, thank you for telling us about this". "It's alright" he answers while suddenly remembering something very important. "oh no, I just remembered, my daughter is alone at the house, I will be going now." Doc gets up on his horse, but before he leaves he asks "Can you please bring the bodies over to my place, I wanna bury them somewhere nice" The sheriff accepts the request "Will do". While Doc was leaving on his horse the sheriff was glaring in suspicion. "Something smells fishy"

Once Doc came back from his errand, he went upstairs to where the boy was resting. And saw Anna taking care of him with cloth on his head, he was proud "You look just like mama Anna" he said happily. Anna chuckled "No way, oh and welcome back!" "Im back" Said her father.

The man walked towards the boy, stretching his arm infront of the boy and waved it in a circle and chanted the words "DA'AS VINDUM" a spell to wake the unconscious.

"Huh that's strange, why didn't the spell work?" The man questioned. Trying multiple other spells on the boy, with not a single one of them working.

"Lets let him rest for now, he might be up tomorrow." he said to Anna as they exit the room.

Two days later, the boy was still asleep, with the man and his daughter occasionally checking up on him.

After another two days has past, with the boy still asleep. They get a visit from the sheriff, "Hey Michael i'm sorry we were late, one of the necro-mancers really enjoyed inspecting the bodies." Michael's face with a look of confusion and concern says "No problem, atleast you brought them here"

Soon after they left, Anna and Michael went to the graveyard on a hill behind their town. After burying the bodies, Michael placed a big stone on the grave and carved an enchantment saying "I hope their lost souls will be guided by the light from heaven"

Anna and Michael kneeled down infront of the grave and prayed to the gods, "I pray that these two find each other in another life, get married, have a child, and live happily for the rest of their new life."

After fourteen long days, Michael starts having his doubts about the boy. "Anna, I believe the boy has passed." Michael says with sadness in his heart.

"NO!"Anna shouts "I still have faith in him" she says sincerely. "But Anna-" Just a couple more days! She pleaded. "Fine" Michael says as he pats Anna on the head with a smile "Oh what am I gonna do with you?"

Later that rainy night, while Michael and Anna were already asleep. The boy suddenly shouts "Mom!" confused and dazed after awakening from his deep sleep. He looks around in discomfort, wondering where and why he is here.

Michael and Anna instantly woke up after hearing the shout, they both rushed into the room the boy was asleep in and found him on his feet glaring outside window.

"You're finally awake" said Michael in relief, the boy was startled. He turned around and started acting defensively towards Michael, holding a long stick he found under the bed.

"Calm down, boy" Michael said worryingly. "W-Who are you people?" The boy asked frantically. "I'm doctor" Michael said while gently grabbing the stick. "A doctor?" the boy questioned.

Yes, I'm a doctor. We have been nursing you for fourteen days. "F-FOURTEEN DAYS?!" The boy said shockingly. Yes we found you in the middle of the road unconscious and drenched in rain, we have been taking care of your unconscious body for fourteen days.

The boy slowly drops the stick, "I was out for fourteen days?". Yes, you're very blessed to have Anna believe in you. I had already believed you have died, if it weren't for her you would have probably been really dead.

"Anna?" whos that the boy asked. "Shes my daughter" the man answered. Suddenly a girl poked her head out from behind the man, it was Anna.

She nervously stepped forward from behind her dad with her hands behind her back, "P-Pleased to meet you, I am Anna Watanabe" Anna said gathering enough courage to greet the young boy.

From the momment she poked her head out, to the momment she introduced herself. The boys eyes were sparkling like diamonds, he was starring deep into the blue-oceanic eyes of the little girl as her golden hair waved around from the cold air of the night.

Anna was starting to blush because of how long the boy was looking at her. The boy shook his head waking himself up, "Pleased to meet you too, I am Aedon Nazdarin" the boy said confidently with his hand on his chest, trying to impress Anna.

Anna bursts out in laughter at the pose Aedon was making, Aedon gets embarrassed and scratches his head while quietly chuckling. "And I am Michael Watanabe, a doctor from the city" Michael said, it's a pleasure to meet you Aedon. For now you should get something eat, there is some leftovers downstairs, help yourself out.

While Michael and Anna were leaving the room, Michael thinks to himself "Nazdarin huh, they must have been lower ranking nobles"

Just before Michael and Anna were about to leave the room, Aedon suddenly remembers something and asks them concerningly "Wait! Have you seen my parents" The two suddenly stop, and look at each other with worry in their eyes, not knowing how to approach the situation.

Michael turns around and says "Why don't we talk about it over dinner?"
