A Breaking News

RANDOM JANITOR'S POV

"Hah...this summer job is sh-t!" I said while mopping furiously.

I do this every day during the early hours just before the employees of the Hero Public Safety Commission enter the building.

'Hero Public Safety my ass! Those fu-ks don't even act like it, always acting so high and mighty thinking every Hero should listen to them. Pui!' I thought to myself always remembering how the attitude of the workers.

The reason why I know how they act is that they don't bother to hide it whenever I am around. Probably thinking what can a poor janitor like me even do after hearing it, though they always shut up when in front of a Hero!

While I was heading to my last floor, the one where the Commission President works and the place for Board Meetings. Once I came out of the elevator, a strong-smelling stench wafted to my nose.

"TSK! They really do have no respect for the ones below! What on Earth can make this kind of smell!?" I grumbled, but still looked left and right making sure no one heard me.

'Hope you sad f-cks die!' I cursed them in my mind as they deserve it!

Walking to the metallic stench with my mop bucket being dragged along, I couldn't help but frown as the smell keeps getting stronger and also smells familiar.

'Why the f-ck would it smell like the meat section in the Wet Market!?' I thought as it just seemed absurd that pigs' blood and guts are just lying around somewhere.

Walking to the doors of where the stench was coming from and opening them with my keys, as it opened I released all my pent-up anger on the massive doors.

*BANG*

I kicked one half of the door open and walked in like some gangster with a mop in hand, looking around...

I wish I didn't look around.

*QUWEKK*

I vomited everything I had for breakfast. I just plopped to the ground on my ass from the fear that immediately struck me.

Immediately I fumbled for my phone, trying to type 110, and repeated trying to repeat it as I seem to be pressing the wrong number.

*RING*

"This is the police, how may we help you?", a calm voice spoke out.

"D-Dead bodies! In He-hero Public Safety Commission Building! Top floo-r Board room meeting!" I stuttered and forcing every word out to just say it.

"Sir, please stay where you are we will send Police and nearby Heroes near you", the voice still calm as ever said.

Some minutes later some no-name Heroes started appearing on the floor with the police, then they saw me shivering beside the elevator (lift) due to fear.

Then they started questioning me like I knew something, I just pointed with my arm and closed my eyes trying to rid of the image of bodies that I just saw, while hoping that they don't ask anymore.

Some Detectives' POV-

We were called to the Hero Public Safety Commission building, the reason for dispatch was multiple dead bodies and that we should hurry.

While on the way my partner and I were talking about it,

"Villains actually targetted the HPSC!? They seem to have gotten more active recently, you would think with the All-Father being around they stay in hiding.", my partner said.

"Sigh...That guy is now inactive ever since his family emerged and just like he said he'll only deal with villains that are in front of his face." I bitterly said, most of us hoped he was just joking but it ended up as true.

Reaching the building, there were now multiple police vehicles parked with their lights blaring out with glory and your usual pesky reporters. Annoying.

The detective job is a profession where a quirk with the power leading towards observation, lie detectors, and senses rule the job. These quirks almost became a 'need' when becoming a detective, but of course, if you're skilled then there's always an exception.

And mine happens to fall under the senses, to be specific my quirk boosts all of my five senses together or a specific one to be exact. If I were to only boost one then its boost will be great, but if I were to pick more it'll decrease the boost.

Reaching the floor of the scene, I and my partner saw the usual yellow tapes and cops walking in and out. My partner was a perfect fit for my quirk, he can detect lies and truth. Plain and Simple.

When we were about to cross the yellow tape, we showed our badges to not have them question us and further wasting our time.

We wore plastic wrappings for our shoes to not leave any extra prints and latex gloves...wouldn't want to be a suspect now, would you?

Moments later we were now in the room for ourselves, "Well...it's not every day you see bodies mutilated like this", my partner commented.

"Agreed. Anyway, did you get the list of the victims?" I asked not bothered by the scene, in my years as a detective you get to see this quite a few times already in this Hero Vs Villain world.

My partner hands me the list:

_______________

-Commission President

-Takamiya James

-Naruya Asou

- Etc

_______________

"All High-profile targets, the motive for killing...these scumbags did too much to even narrow down on who hated them" I said bitterly at the wide range of possibilities.

Within the Detectives or at least the Higher-ups of it, it is extremely known how the HPSC operates, but they are ignored as it protects the images of Heroes.

Enhancing my nose to its greatest, I smelled large chunks of blood...of course...I kneeled to the ground to catch other whiffs of smell.

I smelled something...something that's very evident in the shooting range of the police department. Gun powder.

"There's the smell of gun powder...although it's strongest near the door...probably where they shot at" I said to my partner and he followed up with his own.

"The bullet holes on their knee caps, some of them even have it torn off and others barely hanging. The entry and exit of bullet holes are rather large, some even exploded bits of the walls.

Only large-caliber guns can do this kind of damage and a gun of that kind is heavily regulated within Japan...how did these guys even get their hands on them?", my partner speculated.

"Smuggled into the country most likely...the person who ordered the hit or dared to hit the HPSC must have a really strong reason and network to even have guns." I said.

"Everything from phones and the CCTVs are wiped...well these guys are experts in what they do", my partner said adding more to the case.

"Yeah...well, what these guys did wrong is not copying how they kill. From the numerous bullet wounds and high caliber craters or marks. These guys are new to Japan or the Region at least." I deduced.

"Hah...This is going to be one heck of a long case", I muttered under my breath.

CHANEL 7 NEWS

_______________

[Good Morning, Japan!

We bring you breaking news! Last night, multiple Hero Public Safety Commission officers including the current President were assassinated in their Board Meeting room.

The first witness to have discovered the crime scene has chosen to remain anonymous, but when he was interviewed by on-field reporters all he had to say was "massacre"

The Police Department has not allowed us to show the scene of the crime as it was too graphic even for adults, as the bodies of the victims were mutilated with multiple bullet wounds.

The police said that there is no conclusive evidence so far as to narrow down on many villains in the area, they suspect that it's a new one.

For now, various Hero Agencies are also helping with the investigation but as of this moment, even nearby CCTVs do not have a record of what has happened as it was blurred during the incident.

This is sad news for all of Japan as the Heroes behind the scenes were targeted, so for today, we will only raise our flags at half-mast to mourn our loss.

We have another breaking news today, Morningstar Medical announced on their website that they have reopened as of today and that their problems within the respective Governmental bodies have been solved!

This is truly amazing news after such a tragic one, at least retired Heroes are now able to receive the healing they need to get back on the field.

And this ends our Breaking News, brought by CHANEL 7 NEWS, Thank you.]

MUSUTAFU POLICE DEPARTMENT-

*BANG*

"THAT SHIT!" roared the current Police Chief as even though he didn't have evidence anyone in the higher-ups of society can connect the dots of what went down.

"Well, Sir, the Hero Public Safety Commission had it coming when they kept pushing that man's buttons behind the scene", said his assistant of three years.

Her quirk, Parallel Thinking, allows her to split her mind into two and focus on separate tasks. Making her deduction and thought process faster than most, the perfect assistant!

"I am not siding with the man but if my guess is right, they most probably tried underhanded means to get themselves on the chopping block." she said with no change in expression.

If only she knew that the HPSC was only in their brainstorming phase, then she might just sh-t herself of how short the line was.

"This is clearly humiliation! We can't even do anything as we have no evidence and even if we have evidence then the possibility of Europe's Number 1 Hero going Villain on us is HIGH so we can't do anything...hah"

The Police Chief rambled within the room and could only sigh at the end.

"Donuts and Coffee?", his assistant asked thinking maybe sugary treats could solve the depression

"You know 'coffee' is not allowed in the office~" he teased his assistant, letting the anger a moment ago just disappear.

The Assistant immediately turned red at the thought of what happened in the past, "That was just an accident...*now we have another thing to worry about*" she said while mumbling the last part...and rubbing her belly.

"Let's go and get some proper breakfast then, you keep rubbing your belly as if you hadn't eaten in days!", he said while exiting his office with his assistant whose face is cherry red.

The officers looking at this scene can only roll their eyes at how dense their Police Chief is.

Lionheart Family Mansion-

"Hah...even though we are a powerful family...the guts to even do this and then open their Medical Building and at the same time saying their problems within the Government has been solved", Gilbert said while watching the news.

"As long as no one even threatens them then they will be safe, and the part where there is no conclusive evidence except the bodies is scary on its own", said Alesha hearing the details of the report.

The family could only sigh in relief that they aren't controlled by greed and still kept a logical mind. They were confident in protecting themselves but having a variable like Alexander is never good.

"From our people in the Government, is there any news on them responding to the incident? They seem awfully quiet after all of the incidents related to the Morningstar Family" Gilbert asked his wife.

Chuckling only to herself after remembering the report she got early this morning, "They will only address the Nation and nothing else. Most probably this incident finally made them realize that not all young people respect the elderly"

"Let's just watch then..." Gilbert said.

A Few Hours Later...

(Look I don't know any Governmental Bodies in Japan, so just roll with the names)

CHANEL NEWS 7-LIVE

[We brought to you live at the speech of Secretary of Defense, Nimiya Asakato, in his talk about the incident that occurred last night.]

.

.

.

"We the Japanese people see this as great humiliation!

This is clearly an attack on the Peace that we have built over the decades. This is something we cannot tolerate nor accept, even if there's no evidence to lead us but we will forge a path!

Hero Agencies and the Government will not standstill until we catch the Villains responsible for this! Like always, we will stand on top like we always do!

This I guarantee you!"

_______________

"Sure sure...you greedy old people only learn when the young ones bite, I better call the newly appointed President of the HPSC to ask him if he's going to do his job properly", Alexander who was watching the TV said.

"Time to play with my little darlings!", he said rushing off towards the garden.
