26 Chapter26: 3v1 with Golems

[ how are we gonna be able to see outside onii-san? ] Asked Alice.

After we leave the Elder's house, we met with the old lady Hector ojii-san was with when we first met at the gate. I took that opportunity to ask her about the location of the Golems that I forgot to ask Hector ojii-san.

Alice only knows about the Village the Golems are near but not the exact location because she never went there before.

[ you'll see. ] I replied to Alice who's walking beside me holding my right hand.

We are now walking inside the village. The lights from the lanterns of each brick and stone houses illuminates our path. The moon is also high in the sky but I can't see any stars.

[ the old lady said that we should go in this direction, right? ]

[ yes, then we need to walk a little... then after that, we will see a large hill with a large cave that extends to the ground. ] Alice replied.

Alice is a really smart kid. She can easily memorize everything she learned and she also has a good memory of things.

[ I heard from some adventurers that Golems will only attack you if they sense killing intent from you. They will also not attack you if you pretended to be dead, but you need to be relaxed and calm if you do so because they can also sense fear. ]

This is why Alice is so useful... It's a good thing she became a fan of adventurers and listening to them became her habit. It was quite the same thing I did as an otaku, In fact, I thought that the creatures I will meet in this world are the same as the ones I played in my games or the ones I know of from watching movies and animes, but the moment I met with that red wolf I killed and the Earth Boars I hunted I realized that they only have some similarities but they were not creatures that I exactly know of. That is why I trust Alice when she discusses and describes to me the creatures she says she knows because I don't have any clue what they can do and I don't want to trust my self about the fantasy creatures that I think I know of.

Now I know how to easily beat the Golems.

After a while of walking, we are finally able to see a large cave in a hill that is extending to the ground.

[ okay Alice, you must have realized now that we don't need any lights? ]

We are standing on top of another hill, everything around us is neither giant rocks, other hills, or spiky rocks from big to small. The ground below us is also rocky and full of gravel.

We can see all this because of the light illuminated by the moon. There are even some small smooth rocks that reflect the light of the moon causing them to look like they're shining a little.

[ it really is onii-san... it's pretty... ]

[ right? try to look up. ]

[ Wow... it's so beautiful onii-san... ]

In the sky was the same sky I saw the first day I arrived in this world. The sky is full of stars, shining and glittering and they look so close. They make different patterns from the sky I saw in my previous world as a kid.

I looked at Alice's face, her eyes are glittering and I'm sure I can see the skies reflected in them.

[ haah... aren't we suppose to be rescuing the elder's granddaughter now? ]

[ ahh... a! sorry, I forgot onii-san! ] Alice immediately replied.

[ haha, don't worry. I almost forgot too. ]

I was staring so much at Alice's cuteness that I almost forgot we're here to rescue a person.

[ hmm... we need a plan... ]

We can't just immediately barge inside the cave without a plan or we'll be in trouble.

[ you said they will only attack if they sense killing intent right? ]

[ yes, onii-san. ]

[ okay, I got a plan. ]

Me and Alice are in front of the cave. It's dark inside and we can't actually see anything.

[ hmm... how do I do this again...? ] I'm holding my bow, and Alice is standing in front of me.

My plan is, I will emit killing intent to make the Golems go out of the cave. But emitting killing intent is actually harder than it sounds. You can only unconsciously produce them and you need a target to do so.

That is why... Alice is going to be the target of my killing intent.

[ okay... focus... ] I took an arrow from my quiver and then I aimed my bow at Alice.

[ Just trust me Alice... ]

[ don't worry onii-san. I trust you and I also volunteered to do this. ]

[ thank you, Alice... I want you to run away immediately when I tell you to do so okay? ]

[ yes. ]

I aimed again at Alice, but unlike earlier, this time I pictured Alice as a target I need to kill. I aimed at her head.

[ focus... ] As the seconds past, my vision gets more and more clear and steady and I'm sure that if I release the arrow now it will hit Alice's head in the exact middle.

[ more... ] I focus my aim more and I pulled the bow's string harder.

[ onii-san... ]

and after a few more seconds...

*Rumble *Rummblee

[ there! run Alice! ] the moment the ground shook I immediately signaled Alice to run.

Alice ran immediately as instructed with tears in her eyes.

What came out of the cave were three 2 meters humanoid golems with two large arms, two large legs, and disfigured heads. Their skin is easily recognizable as Metal and their eyes are red and glowing.

swhoooshh!!!

I shot the arrow I was aiming at Alice earlier and shoot it to the head of the golem in the middle.

I thought that it had enough force but it only got stuck in the Golems head.

[ tsk! ] I thought that like the Earth Boars I first hunted, it will pierce its head but I guess they're thick and hard enough for normal arrows to actually damage them.

[ I guess there's no other choice than to try it. ]

The Golems are walking towards me with heavy footsteps and their eyes are glowing more each step.

I readied my self. I removed my quiver from my back and I throw my bow to the ground.

[ come at me. ]

one of the golems who is already close enough to me attacked me, but I dodge it at the last second. Their movements are slow that I'm confident I can dodge every attack they throw at me.

I kick the leg of the golem who just attacked me and it easily breaks. The golem then fell to the ground.

[ one- ]

!!!

as I was about to crush the fallen Golem's chest another one of them threw a giant rock at me.

[ shit! ] I can't dodge it in time so I block it with my arm.

BAM!!! shwooosh!

another Golem behind me punch me in the back which causes my body to crash at a giant rock.

[ onii-san! ]

[ this is harder than I thought! ]

two of the Golems are approaching me; one who throw the big rock and the one who punched me, the other one is still immobilized and can't move.

[ if that's how it's going to be! ]

I picked a big spiky rock beside me and I throw it at one of them. I thought I thrown it pretty hard but it was only crushed by the Iron Golem's hard armor.

[ then there's no other choice! ]

if this fist can crush mountains, then I can crush these guys too.

I run towards one of them. It attacked the moment I got close to it but I dodge it and used that opportunity to counter it instead.

I jumped in front of it then I punch its head and crush it to pieces, I landed behind it then I punch a hole in its back causing a red ball to appear in its chest.

I took the red ball and pull it with both of my hands. The moment I did that it finally fell to the ground lifelessly.

[ !!! ] another punch was thrown beside me but I manage to jumped and dodged it at the last moment. I then landed on top of its head.

I crushed its head with my Head Lock but it still didn't stop throwing punches at me blindly while I was on top of its head.

[ Haaa!!! ] I did a Spear Hand of top of its neck where its head was attached to before I crushed it.

I took the red ball inside of it again causing it to fall in the ground.

I jumped out of its head and landed on the ground.

[ pheww...!!! ] I sigh.

I'm holding two red cores on both of my hands which made me feel like I'm holding two hearts instead.

[ that was the most exciting thing I ever experienced in my lif- ] My words were cut off when I suddenly felt a large hand is gripping my legs.

I turn my head behind me and saw that the other Golem that is supposed to be immobilized is standing behind me and gripping both of my legs.

It holds both of my legs tighter then It suddenly throws me like a piece of garbage on the ground.

I lose hold of the two cores now that my face is planted on the ground.

[ Uuhh... that hurt! I thought you were supposed to be already laying on the ground! ]

I elbowed its arm that is still gripping both of my legs and crushed it. I was finally able to stand up as it already let go of me.

I walked on top of it and I punched its chest then I finally took its core and it finally stops struggling.

[ Haaa!!! ] I shouted the shout of Victory at the dead of the night just because I feel like it.

I wiped my face which is full of dirt with my hand.

[ haa... haa... I thought I was going to die... ]
