The adventures of the legendary returned wizard Leon, how his new magical abilities develop, and the fight against his true enemies begin in earnest. Leon goes on an adventure to find his identity, meeting new allies and enemies along the way. Leon's journey to change the fate of the continent has just begun.
The Eternal Continent was renowned for its vast lands and diverse cultures. However, in recent years, the emergence of the Demon King had plunged the entire continent into the turmoil of war. There were six major kingdoms on the continent: Lauren, Edelia, Tarkala, Siren, Velosia, and Griffend. Each kingdom had its own unique culture and was dealing with the war in different ways.
Located in the west of the continent, the Kingdom of Lauren was known for its expansive plains and fertile farmland, making it the continent's breadbasket. However, the invasion of the Demon King's army had thrown it into chaos. The capital of Lauren, once a beacon of grandeur, was now crumbling into ruins. Although each kingdom was fighting against the Demon King's invasion, his power was overwhelming.
Leon grew up amidst this chaos. At 19 years old, he was an apprentice knight who had been orphaned by the war and taken in by his adoptive parents. They had lost their loved ones on the battlefield but treated Leon as their own son, showering him with love and care. Leon aspired to become a mage to protect them, but at 12, he was diagnosed as mana-less, forcing him to give up his dream of becoming a mage and instead decide to become a knight.
While Leon struggled in the training grounds, other apprentice knights often mocked him.
"Leon, pretending to work hard again? No matter how much you try, you'll never be like us," one apprentice knight sneered.
"Yeah, you can't use magic, and your swordsmanship is pathetic. Why don't you just give up?" another jeered.
Despite their taunts, Leon gritted his teeth and continued his training. He couldn't give up, especially for the sake of his adoptive parents who believed in him. Yet, deep inside, he couldn't shake off the growing doubt about his own worth.
One day, on his way back from the training ground, Leon was surrounded and bullied by some village kids.
"What kind of knight are you? You can't even use magic, and your sword skills are awful!" one kid said, shoving Leon's shoulder.
"Yeah! Just give up and become a farmer!" another kid laughed, hitting Leon's back.
Leon endured their bullying in silence, his head bowed. At that moment, Edwin appeared and stood between Leon and the kids.
"Stop it! Leave Leon alone!" Edwin demanded firmly.
The kids scattered, surprised by Edwin's presence. Edwin put his arm around Leon's shoulders. "Are you okay, Leon?"
Leon nodded, though his eyes were filled with sorrow. "Thanks, Edwin. I don't know what I would have done without you..."
Edwin comforted Leon. "Don't worry, Leon. I know how hard you work. One day, everyone will see your worth."
But soon enough, Leon found himself being bullied again. This time, it was while he was practicing alone in the training ground. A group of apprentice knights surrounded him, laughing.
"Working hard by yourself again? No matter how much you try, you'll never be like us," one apprentice knight said.
Leon ignored them and continued his training, but they pushed him and took his sword.
"Give it up already! You're worthless. Accept it and quit!" one knight shouted, kicking Leon to the ground.
Leon fell but tried to get up, only to be kicked again, sending him tumbling near a cliff's edge. He lost his balance and fell off the cliff.
As he fell, Leon felt death approaching. But deep within him, something awakened. He felt connected to nature, sensing the surrounding mana. In his final moments, he instinctively cast a healing spell from his past life.
Leon's body was enveloped in a faint light, his wounds beginning to heal. As he lay there, memories from his past life started to surface. Though filled with pain and betrayal, they also reminded him that he was once a powerful mage.
Leon awoke in astonishment, realizing he possessed a special power he hadn't understood before. Surviving the fall, he resolved to learn more about his abilities and his past.
The next morning, Leon approached Captain Creon.
"Captain, could you train me further? I need to become stronger."
Captain Creon looked into Leon's eyes and nodded. "Of course, Leon. I will train you as much as you need."
Leon returned from the training ground, determined to uncover more about his powers. With Captain Creon's guidance and the fragments of his past life memories, Leon began to piece together his lost past and abilities. He committed himself to rigorous training, determined to reclaim his memories and power.
