31 Chapter 26

After reading the novel and continuing his work in transmutation magic, he made his way to the club. Upon entering the club room and taking a seat, Eden was in a worse mood than he had been in a while. Arriving last, he noticed his clubmates, Yukinoshita and Hikigaya, looked tired and worse for wear. "I'm sorry for subjecting you to his writing. If I had known it was that bad, I would have just kicked him out of the club room," Eden expressed remorse.

"It's alright, Eden. The book you recommended more than makes up for the utter boredom of Zaimokuza-san's writing," Yukinoshita reassured him.

"If you liked it, I'll bring you some more Im sure you'll enjoy enjoy," Eden offered.

"Hey, aren't you going to apologize to me?" Hikigaya interrupted their conversation.

"He's your friend, Hikigaya. You should have warned us about how incompetent he was," Eden responded. Just then, Zaimokuza walked into the room with a greeting,

"Greetings your Highness"

"No" Eden said .Despite finding Zaimokuza's antics amusing before, his anger toward him prevented him from indulging in his ramblings for even a moment.

"Zaimokuza, just stand there and be quiet. Yukinoshita-senpai, would you like to start?" Eden redirected the focus.

"That's fine," Yukinoshita agreed, proceeding to critique the draft for its grammatical errors and lack of engagement. "I must request that you refrain from subjecting people to incomplete stories. Before enhancing your literary skills, you should first acquire some common sense," she concluded, silencing the room.

Eden broke into applause, "I couldn't of said it better myself"

Afterward, he turned his attention to Hikigaya. "Want to go next?" Eden asked.

"Yeah, the only thing I have to ask is, who are you ripping off?" Hikigaya questioned. Zaimokuza, who was already looking pale, dropped to his hands and knees in response.

"Alright, I suppose it's my turn." Eden rose from his chair and moved closer to Zaimokuza, positioning himself to look down on him. "I can overlook a lot of mistakes in writing – bad grammar, plot holes, even poorly developed characters – as long as it's entertaining. But in all my years, having read over a million books in every language known to man, I have never come across anything more thoroughly dull and mind-numbing than that book."

Desperation filled Zaimokuza's eyes as he asked, "What can I do? Can I ever change?"

Eden's tone was stern but not unkind as he replied, "Yes, leave Japan and find the most isolated community in the world. They might think your writings are decent enough to be used as toilet paper."

With that, Eden returned to his desk, grabbed his bag, and prepared to leave. "See you guys tomorrow," he said before making his exit. Utilizing teleportation to return home, he activated the Path of Victory spell he had cast, knowing that he had important guests coming over today. After getting ready, taking a relaxing bath, and grooming himself, he put together a stylish yet comfortable outfit that was suitable for home. Now in his living room awaiting his guests, he heard the doorbell. Eden went to answer it, increasing his allure to a level that would subtly affect the visitor without overwhelming them.

"Eden, I come bearing gifts," announced the woman at the door. It was the lovely Serafall, and behind her was an Asian girl who looked slightly older, dressed in an orange monk outfit with twin ponytails featuring black hair with blue streaks. Following them were a woman and a girl cloaked entirely in black garments.

"Levi, thank you for comeing. Please come in," Eden greeted warmly, ushering them into the mansion.
