Chapter 33 - A Wedding for the Ages

On this day, the Sept of Baelor was truly a sight to see. Ever since the days of Baelor the Blessed, every single marriage of the Royal Family had occurred over there. And today was no exception.

Honestly, the Sept had been decorated to a point where Highgarden, a place which nobles and commoners alike thought of as the most beautiful structure in Westeros, seemed pale in comparison. It seems like his grace, King Orys Baratheon, was truly going all out for his bride.

Everyone knew the relationship Sansa and Orys shared. Commoners had seen the two walk around King's Landing, acting like a young couple in love, with guards following them of course.

The wedding had been delayed for a while now, especially due to the death of King Robert and then Ser Jaime Lannister. But finally, the day the people of King's Landing knew was going to come, had finally arrived.

The wedding of King Orys and Lady Sansa.

~ Tywin Lannister POV ~

Tywin Lannister did not believe in the gods. He hadn't since the day his dear wife had fallen ill. But right now, with the scene in front of him, he was sure that they were around. And they loved his family.

He did not get to the position where he is by being weak or stupid. He slaughtered the Reynes and Tarbecks to save his family's failing reputation. He had a son who was the most famous knight in the realm, and even the most skill. Even though he had different plans for him, he was thankful for the moments he spent with Jaime. His daughter had been Queen. Even Tyrion, the son who he had all but abandoned, had made it in his life. He was truly content.

And of course, his favorite. His grandson, Orys. The boy was going to be the greatest king ever, and despite being a Baratheon, he proudly claimed his Lannister heritage. Something that bought a smile to his face.

And now he had done the impossible once again. Starks and Lannisters had come together once more in King's Landing.

Tywin smiled at the thought of it, thinking back to a conversation he'd had with Orys as a child. He had questioned him what kind of king he wanted to be growing. And with confidence his grandson had answered, 'The Greatest Ever.'

And now, it was going to be a reality.

Looking at him, standing there beside the High Septon, waiting for his bride, he couldn't help but be proud. Initially, he was against the idea of Sansa Stark becoming Queen since he wanted Orys to have a strong Queen. But after meeting the girl last week, he had changed his opinion. Orys had chosen well. She had potential and he was sure, his grandson would bring it out of her.

As the bride began entering, everyone turned towards the door and in Tywin's mind, he was finally at peace. He had achieved it. He had left a legacy and dynasty behind that would stand for generations.

~ Third Person POV ~

As the future Queen entered the Sept, her brother giving her away, everyone couldn't help but gasp and exclaim.

Sansa Stark looked like an angel who had descended from heaven. The green and gold dress she was wearing, proudly displaying the Baratheon Sigil along with her Stark cloak, accentuated her figure and made everyone either envy or lust after her.

Soon she joined her future husband on the podium and the High Septon began the ceremony.

The Septon started the sermon, "We stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife: one flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever."

The couple held hands, standing side by side, as the Septon tied their joined hands. The ribbon symbolizing their union.

He continued, "Let it be known that Orys of House Baratheon and Sansa of House Stark, are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder. In the sight of the Seven, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity. Look upon one another and say the words."

The bride and groom began reciting their vows, speaking simultaneously, "Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger…

I am hers and she is mine. From this day, until the end of my days/ I am his and he is mine. From this day, until the end of my days."

After the vows, his grace announced, "With this kiss, I pledge my love," and kissed the bride for the first time, as a married couple. The realm finally had a new King and Queen. A pair that would go down in history as one of the greatest to ever grace the Iron Throne.

Sansa and Orys had finally united, and no one except the two of them could be happier.

A.N: This story deserves a proper ending and I shall give it one. The next few chapters shall see the Targs arriving and another battle, maybe more action filled. The White Walkers will soon be dealt with too. after that, the story will be about King Orys enjoying his life alongside his Queen and tasting the various women the world of Planetos has to offer. Check my other story Forgotten Son of Destruction too, it's a DxD gamer story. My TDG story, while I had posted a few chapters on it on Patreon, I did not continue them, but worry not, by June this year, that shall receive a worthy end too. See Ya.

Not dead. Life sucks and all this had to take the backseat. Life is still sucking but I will try and upload when I can to remind you of my presence.
