42 Test Wouldn't Be Easy!
Inside the second floor of Awakening Pagoda.
Zhen Han gave a deep sigh not suiting a five-year-old kid. He controlled his anger and stopped staring at the crystal ball.
"Heavens, please let me have wind attribute," He gave a last glance at the crystal ball and started moving the exit.
The crystal ball was on the brink of splitting in two given the nature of its cracks and the smoke coming out from it.
Zhen Han wouldn't be surprised if the crystal ball exploded which was why he decided to leave the second floor of Awakening Pagoda before any incident takes place.
"On the first floor, the spiritual energy converging arrays have exploded. Now, on the second floor, the attribute checking crystal ball is about to explode. Is there more to this than just the corruption caused by the seniors from Lin clan?" Zhen Han wondered aloud.
"My Zhen family is on brink of extinction after the death of Skyrise Emperor. Most of the imperial clan members have already been executed by the nine clans. It wouldn't be surprising if the Lin clan is trying to kill me here!"
Outside, Lin clan patriarch was on the verge of insanity after hearing the words transmitted by the spirit screen.
Lin Xiruo wanted to make Zhen Han loyal to Lin clan but now the latter was accusing him of one thing after another. While Lin Xiruo did offer Zhen Han and his family asylum due to the benefits involved, he has prevented the outside forces from trying to harm to Lin Li and others.
Now the kid was saying that the awakening ceremony is a trap?
"Li'er, your son has caused so much damage to the clan's resources but I didn't complain or asked for compensation! Instead, your son is complaining as if I am the villain here!" Lin Xiruo said trying to control his anger.
Lin Li was embarrassed herself by the words spoken by her son. She regretted not informing him about the sound transmission arrays in the pagoda. She only informed him that images from inside the pagoda would be projected on the screen outside.
"I hope he stops with his theories otherwise the elders and patriarch would die from anger," Lin Li muttered.

Zhen Han was standing near the staircase on the second floor. He wasn't sure of whether to proceed to the next floors or not for checking his vein capacity, mental bearings, and comprehension skills.
"Maybe I am overthinking things! My parents and grandparents are working hard for Lin clan in return for the asylum! So there should be no reason for Lin clan to assassinate me!" Zhen Han said.
He then started moving towards the third floor as he mumbled, "I was wrong for thinking the superiors of Lin clan are trying to assassinate me..."
Outside, Lin Xiruo and others were delighted to hear the words from Zhen Han.
"Li'er, your son might be slow but he has finally opened his eyes to the truth," Lin Xiruo said with a smile.
"Ah yes..." Lin Li said but she was having an uneasy feeling as Zhen Han hasn't completed his words.
"...the Lin clan is just filled with greedy and corrupted seniors. How wrong of me to give them extra credits," Zhen Han's remaining words came out from the screen projection.
Lin Xiruo's face was filled with dark lines after hearing the words.
Lin Li: "...."
Qin Auir didn't let go of this chance and said," Lin Xiruo, you are correct as always. That kid has opened his eyes and saw the reality of your clan."

Zhen Han went to the third floor of Awakening Pagoda where the vein capacity is to be tested. Vein capacity refers to the volume of energy which the spiritual veins can transfer from outside to the inside. It also denotes the density of energy one's veins can support.
In heaven and earth, there are different types of forces and energies. There is spiritual energy, demonic energy, devil energy, chaos energy, origin force, cosmic force, etc.
Some energies are further subdivided like spiritual energy can be divided into the five elements spiritual energy.
Human cultivators can absorb spiritual energy easily but demonic and devil energy is almost like poison to them. There are countless cases of cultivators undergoing cultivation deviation after absorbing these poisonous energies.
But that didn't mean no human cultivator can absorb and refine those energies.
The ability to do so depend on the capacity of spiritual veins and the nature of lower dantian. There are cultivators born with a special physique who have the natural affinity to refine such energies without relying on the vein capacity or dantian but they are exceptional cases.
In general, one doesn't have to worry about the other forms of energies at Awakening Realm. The spiritual energy was rich enough in Skyrise Empire for meeting the demand for formation of spiritual veins and establishment of lower dantian.
But for the realms above Awakening Realm, one can't just rely on spiritual energy. There exist perilous lands filled with demonic and devilish energies with almost zero spiritual energies. If a cultivator goes to such a land then he would have to be more cautious unless he has enough spirit stones or unlimited reserve of energy in lower dantian.
The vein capacity test inside Awakening Pagoda only tested the quantity and density with respect to spiritual energy. It wasn't safe enough to introduce demonic or devilish energies to the cultivators who have just started the cultivation journey.

The third floor contained an artificial low-grade spirit spring radiating multiple colors. Zhen Han sat in a lotus position close to the spirit strong.
"Grandpa said I have to absorb the spiritual energy from the spring and see till how long I can hold it. But..." Zhen Han thought of a worry.
He has already established lower dantian! The energy he would absorb would be transferred to his lower dantian which was in the form of a golden furnace!
The mechanism of the third floor was made in mind thinking of cultivators who have just started the cultivation journey i.e. those who have only formed spiritual veins.
The forefathers of cultivation system in Endless Continent never considered the possibility of a freak establishing lower dantian the very day of establishing his spiritual veins! While both forming spiritual veins and establishing lower dantian are the part of Awakening Realm, the truth was there should be a gap of a few years!
So the vein capacity can only check how much energy his veins can absorb at once and the intensity it can endure. It couldn't judge how long he can place the energy inside his veins before strain is applied to his veins! Because once lower dantian is established the energy would flow towards the dantian. There is no natural control over it! Just like how one can't control the flow of food after it is swallowed.
"The main problem is I don't know my attribute!" Zhen Han was getting a headache thinking of this.
The spirit spring was releasing multiple color glow. These denoted different types of spiritual energies inside it. Like the green denoted wood spiritual energy, golden denoted metal spiritual energy, etc.
After knowing the attribute one has to absorb the attribute related spiritual energy. Of course, the spirit spring here didn't have the rare attribute energies like blood or space. If a cultivator has those attributes then the clan would make special preparation for the test.
"I will try to absorb each type of energy. Perhaps it can help me learn my attribute. In my case, the capacity of my lower dantian would replace spirit veins!"
What he didn't know was that he didn't even need this test! He has basically passed this test with passing colors when he formed his spiritual veins by converging the surrounding area's spiritual energy!

"Basically a useless test for him."
"Well... we can still know how much energy his veins can absorb at once."

"Yeah. Unlike the rest of us, he formed his spiritual veins outside his body! And we have seen wide his veins were!"
"But it seemed the kid isn't aware he formed his spiritual veins outside his body! A sign of true genius!"
"A sign of being a freak!"
"It is basically guaranteed his result would be 100/10. There is no suspense in it!"
Strangely, the audience was talking as if Zhen Han going to break all the records was as natural as breathing.
"The speed depends on the attribute! That kid doesn't know his attribute! So..." A young man with a broken face said. He is the same person who was thrashed by his brothers for insulting Lin Li!
Everyone stared at him as if they were looking at a clown.
"Have you forgotten why we thrashed you?"
"Have you forgotten what Lady Li said? She was sure her son has at least the five elements attribute!"
"Even the crystal ball wasn't able to check his attributes! So it basically means his attribute is such that we can't judge!"
"Think of how he formed his spiritual veins! The entire area's spiritual energy converged inside the pagoda at his command!"
"You really think for such a heaven-defying genius the attribute would matter?"
"Seems like your brain was injured from the beatings earlier!"
The young man's expression was downcast. He expectantly looked at the elders who have insulted Zhen Han before. This time though none of the elders tried to argue with 'facts' or 'logic'.
"I am thinking the test wouldn't be so easy," Lin Li suddenly said.
Everyone was shocked to hear her words. If anyone else has said it then they would have laughed. But no one dared to laugh at Lin Li. She was the only one who has been correct in all the previous rounds!
"Lady Li, what do you mean? Your son is a genius born once in a million year. How can it be not easy for him?" Qin Auir asked in a respectable voice startling Lin clan patriarch.
"Why is chief envoy giving so much importance to Zhen Han? Surely he couldn't think he can take him from my clan?" Lin Xinu thought.
He also looked at Lin Li waiting for her answer.
"I wasn't talking about my son when I said it wouldn't be easy," Lin Li said.
"Huh?"
"I am saying there is going to be a problem for the clan and not Han'er!"
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know," Lin Li's words startled everyone again.
"You don't know what problem will occur but yet you are saying there would be a problem?"
"Yes! That's exactly what I am saying," Lin Li said.
"Why would you think so? Is this also something you just know of?" Lin Xinu asked. Previously she has said something similar during the attribute test so Lin Xinu wanted to ask.
"Nope. Just something from my observation so far."
"What observation?"
"My son likes to go out with a bang as you have already seen in the first two floors. So how can the third floor be any exception?" Lin Li proudly asked with her eyes showing the trust she has in her son! Her expression was of ultimate confidence in her son's ability to create trouble for others!
