47 Imagination is the Limit!

Lin Zheng was having a serious headache after seeing the poor aptitude of Zhen Han. He felt his sister was to be blamed.

"Han'er, have you seen the animals and beasts outside?" Lin Zheng asked.

"Of course," Zhen Han was startled by such an obvious question.

"Are they wearing clothes?"

"Of course not!"

"Why is it so? If humans are naked then it is considered a matter of embarrassment but why does it not applies to the beasts? Or you think they lack wisdom?" Lin Zheng asked multiple questions at once.

Zhen Han thought for a moment before answering, "I believe the beasts have wisdom but the reason for them not wearing clothes is because it is not their trait. The clothes is a trait specific to humans."

Lin Zheng sighed in disappointment and said, "There are many races who wear clothes like demons, devils, etc. But not everyone in those races follows the trend. Similarly not every human tribe wears clothes."

"Huh?" Zhen Han was getting more and more confused.

"If you visit desolate regions, then you will find humans there that have different codes of conduct then us. They are considered as barbarians by uz for they don't follow our rules but it is them who are the closest to nature," Lin Zheng assumed the pose of a supreme saint before continuing, "They don't agree with our way of life. In those lands, a woman has the right to have multiple husbands just like how a man can have multiple wives."

"A woman having multiple husbands?" Zhen Han thought it was wrong for a woman to have multiple husbands but when he gave it a deep thought he wasn't able to find what was truly wrong in it.

If in our society a man can have multiple wives so what was wrong with a woman having multiple husbands?

Lin Zheng became more confident after seeing the expression of Zhen Han. He was aware Zhen Han didn't look down on the opposite gender due to the teachings of his sister.

He continued, "Tell me why is it considered sinful and evil for a woman to have multiple lovers? If that is sinful and evil, then don't you think the practice of a man having multiple wives is wrong? Or you think man has more right then woman?"

"I don't know, uncle. I have always have heard of a man having multiple wives and not a woman so I thought it was wrong," Zhen Han didn't know how to explain. He was only a kid so how was he supposed to know about such a complex topic? In fact, he didn't even know how this matter was related to the Dao of Shamelessness.

"Have you been so blinded by the thoughts of others that you couldn't understand a basic fact?" Lin Zheng asked.

"Blinded?"

"Yes, blinded. You assumed the practice of a woman having multiple husbands is wrong just because you have never heard of such a thing. Or maybe you assumed women don't have the rights like men do because of what you saw in the society."

"I guess so."

"If you think carefully, there is nothing wrong with women enjoying equal rights as long as they have enough strength. Yet you want to believe it is wrong...why?"

"I-I don't know."

"Let me answer it for you. It is because your thoughts are confined in the boundaries created by the society. And who created the society if not for us humans? So basically our thought process only agree with what the people at the top wants us to. They have set our minds on what is wrong and what is right."

Zhen Han was finally able to understand that the thoughts and practice of the society have affected his own free thinking.

"Uncle, how is this connected to the Dao?" Zhen Han nervously asked.

"Everything is connected to Dao!" Ling Zheng said in a fanatic voice.

"Ah...yes."

"Anyways, I just explained to you how we are brainwashed by society, and following the wrong path just because the majority agree with it. Similarly, in those desolate lands, the so-called barbarians don't think it is wrong to steal from others as long as you have the strength!"

"But stealing is..."

"Are you going to again say it is wrong? Didn't I just prove how our thoughts are not our owns but those of others? No one owns anything, to begin with, so how is it considered wrong to steal something which has no true owner!"

"I guess you are right," Zhen Han said but his voice was not firm. His heart was still resisting.

"Han'er, do you know what is the greatest obstacle of us cultivators?" Lin Zheng asked.

"I don't know."

"It is our imagination!"

"Imagination?"

"Yes! We restrict our thoughts to what has been decided by the others and hence limiting our imagination! And hence we have lost the creativity!"

"Creativity?"

"Indeed! Why do we have to only follow one set of the path determined by others when we can create a new path for us? Why do we have to think only working hard is the right way? Why don't we agree that working smart is the right way?"

"?" Zhen Han was not able to understand where his uncle was trying to say. He has been bringing one topic after another which was only confusing him.

"You said that you will work hard to purchase the piece of jewelry from the shop. Or you will borrow money from your mother and purchase that jewelry. Aren't you just confining yourself in the limitations set by the world? Don't you see how you are hindering the growth of your mind by following thoughts of others like a puppet?"

"I was wrong earlier!" Zhen Han said with very faint hesitation in his voice.

Zhen Ling smiled and continued, "If you scam away from the jewelry piece, then think how much trouble you could save yourself! You wouldn't need to work extra hard nor borrow from your mother! If you simply steal or scam away money... Think how much easy your life would become! Think of the time you will save! Think of the efforts you could save yourself from! You can utilize the time and efforts for other activities! "

"Uncle, you are right! Stealing is not wrong!" Zhen Han loudly said.

"Han'er, finally your eyes are open. Now you will no longer be confined to the orthodox ways."

"Thank you, uncle!" Zhen Han bowed deeply.

"The Great Dao of Shamelessness is the simplest yet the most powerful one. It exists to make our life easy, but alas, in our ignorance we humans have chosen the wrong path."

"Uncle, rest assured for I will follow the correct path!"

"Good. Remember that there are no rules or limits in the Great Dao of Shamelessness. The only thing which can hinder you in the pursuit of the Dao is your imagination! So never let it be confined!"

Zhen Han nodded in understanding.

"Now we shall start with the true lessons!"

Meanwhile, at Lin Li's house.

Lin Li finally sighed in relief after sending out the guests. The clan has given her various servants so it became easy for her to handle the gifts she received.

She was startled to see her son being not within the house so she asked one of the maids about him

"Lady Li, I saw young master going out with Sir Zheng," the maid replied.

"You mean my brother?" Lin Li asked trying to suppress her emotions.

"Yes," the maid replied.

"Brother, I'm coming to teach you a new Dao," Lin Li's face was full of a smile as she left for Lin Zheng's cave mansion.
