25 Human Beings Die In Pursuit Of Wealth
Xin Wugi's body started trembling in fear when he heard the words. They were underwater but the words spoken by the women were clear as if they were spoken in her mind.
"Slave?" He didn't dare believed his words.
Xin Wugi saw with horror as the small tree in woman's eye started expanding its roots. The roots started growing inside her eyes and soon covered her entire neck. From the neck, the roots spread to the arms of the woman.
The woman has placed both her hands on the face of Xin Wugi. Xin Wugi's eyes were in disbelief as he saw the roots covering her hands. The roots continued to expand and started moving on Xin Wugi's face.
He felt unbearable pain as the roots started taking his body as soil. The worst part for him was that he could neither shout nor close his eyes throughout the process.
He felt as if thousands of ants were crawling over his body and feasting on him. His body didn't grow numb from pain nor did he lose consciousness. He can only see the roots expanding over his body.
Xin Wugi could feel the roots expanding over his soul. His soul didn't even try to resist the roots.
In ordinary conditions, both the body and soul would show resistance to the invasion of foreign matter. Just like how a body would attack when a virus invades the body, the same should happen when the roots were expanding in Xin Wugi's body. That's what he initially believed.
He couldn't understand why his body and soul would betray him. There was a pain in both body and soul, but no signs of resistance!

The last thing he saw was the tree inside the woman's eyes disappearing as it started moving towards him through the roots.

The tree was getting more and more illusory with every passing second. Like a flame on brink of extinction.

When the tree scanned the Continent in front of Lin Li, it has scanned every living being in the capital. Shi Xiao was someone who didn't have any malicious intent towards Zhen Han and Lin Li, so the tree teleported them nearby his destination.

In all honesty, the tree was not worried about Zhen Han's safety as it knew better than anyone the protection he has.
What tree wanted to protect him from were the schemes in secret now that the imperial family has fallen.

The tree felt regret for killing Blood Witch otherwise she would have proved to be a better guardian for Zhen Han's family.

The tree was able to project itself in this world only after Zhen Han has inherited most of its memories. Alas, the intervention of the heavenly laws of this world and the gray matter forced the tree to wipe out Zhen Han's memories regarding itself.
The violet bead is heaven-defying in nature but its power depended on Zhen Han. If Zhen Han doesn't have the memories of the tree and its other future selves; the violet bead couldn't project them in this world.
Thankfully the tree has only absorbed the soul of Blood Witch before the gray sword arrived.
So after teleporting away Zhen Han and his mother, the tree transmitted its remaining presence inside Blood Witch for creating the trap.
How can the supreme experts of this empire be not attracted towards the core of spiritual vein?

The tree wanted to have a World King realm for the slave but it couldn't hold for long. With every passing second its existence was wiped out. It was not even able to use 0.1% of its original power after teleporting away Zhen Han.
