Dead man's fate

Most people don't know this, but the electric chair hurts. Alot. The water in your blood boils, and every now and again, an eye or two will pop.

As you can imagine, not the most pleasant experience.

Especially when they get the wrong guy. I have no clue what they pinned on me to get me executed without a trial, but it worked. One minute I was sitting on my couch at home watching anime, the next I was in full body restraints.

That's right. Full Body Restraints. As if cuffs weren't already enough to restrain someone whose entire daily excersize was walking to the kitchen and back.

And so here I am, dying for an unknown crime I didn't commit. You may be wondering why I'm not angry at them, why I'm not sobbing as they flip the switch. And the only real answer I can give you is...

I don't really care. My whole life has been metaphorically devoid of colour. It's not just that I'm depressed, I just don't feel anything. My heart isn't made of stone, I just don't seem to have one.

You can tell that's metaphorical, as I just went into cardiac arrest. At least it's a different pain from the electricity.

And there it is, the sweet abyss. No light at the end of the tunnel...

No, wait, there it is. Let's see what's next.

Sweet mother of mercy, that's bright. In typical reincarnation fashion, I've just been reborn. Not into an adult body, but literally reborn.

Not quite used to the light, I close my eyes and sleep.
