86 Chapter 86 Date's Invitation

The next day, Kanda and Raishin had done their usual routine to the class and lunch before their patrol.

During their patrol without Charlotte, they had met with new case of "Cannibal Candy" where they quickly called Felix and his subordinates to the accident's site.

When they had discussed about the new case there, Charlotte had arrived at the site hurriedly but Sigmund is absent from her side.

Charlotte takes a breathe before she say: "I'm sorry to be late in arriving here. Is this the new case from "Cannibal Candy"?

"It's alright, Char. Yes, this is the new case and we currently had investigated about it." Replied Kanda at her.

"What you had found from this case, Kanda?" Asked Charlotte again.

"Well...like previous cases, the victim's automaton had been ripped off its magic circuit from the body before it has been left here alone." Answered Kanda.

Kanda had talked for a while with Charlotte before Felix coming at their direction where he looks at Charlotte and say: "Char, I think that you need to be excused from this investigation team as I heard from your classmates that you had absence from your class for several times. I need you to be focus with you study so I need to do this for your own benefits."

"...But, I..." Charlotte wants to say something but holding it as she looks at the Felix's face which being noticed by Kanda.

Charlotte grits her teeth for a moment and say: "I understand, Felix. I will not be involved with this case again. Goodbye, everyone."

Charlotte had left from the site where Kanda had chased her immediately as he shouts for Charlotte's name after he glared at Felix for a moment which Felix flinched from his glare.

==At the case's site.==

After Kanda gone away to chase Charlotte, Raishin holds Felix's uniform collar and say: "Why you had said that to Charlotte, Felix?"

"I had done that for her benefits, student Akabane. You must understand me as I'm being forced to do that." Replied Felix.

(A/N: Raishin's full name is Akabane Raishin if someone had forgotten.)

"Don't give me that bullshit, Felix. I know that you had kicked out Charlotte from the team for another reason. Am I right?" Commented Raishin before he asked Felix.

Felix sighed from Raishin's question before he say: "Yes, there is another reason why I had asked Char to be excused from the team."

"What is that?" Asked Raishin.

"You had already knew from Miss Risette that Sigmund is Banned Doll, right, student Akabane." Felix said that to Raishin which Raishin nods his head.

Felix continues his talk: "I also had supported Miss Risette's suspicion on how Char might be the "Cannibal Candy" due to how strong her automaton is. Her automaton need large amount of energy to support its vessel especially when Sigmund had used his true form, that grey dragon. What else his energy's resources other than those magic circuits that had been missing from those innocent automatons. Moreover, these automatons had fought with Sigmund when you had fought with Char during your first day in the academy. So, Sigmund is our main suspect for all of these cases.

"Although you had assume all of those things about Charlotte and Sigmund, there is no evidence that had shown her involvement in the previous cases as the "Cannibal Candy"." Countered Raishin before continues: "And another thing, if you had suspected Charlotte as "Cannibal Candy" due to her too strong than her peer, how about Kanda and Lily? I don't think that you could ignore them as their fighting capabilities almost equal to Magus. Furthermore, the case about "Carnibal Candy" had started at the same time with their admission to this academy."

"That's why I also had monitored those two just like what I had done towards Char and Sigmund but I couldn't find anything at all about their involvement in the these cases. Therefore, I only could assume that their strength are genuinely real which they are capable to fight with Magnus. However, we still couldn't ignore the probability for him to be the "Cannibal Candy" though the chance is ridiculously low." Commented Felix.

"I don't care about your assumption on Kanda and Charlotte, Felix. I'm still believe in both of them as they're my friends." Replied Raishin towards Felix.

"Well, you can do that, student Akabane. However, we still need to continue with the investigation here so I need your assistance here." Felix shrugged his shoulder before he said all of that at Raishin.

Raishin nods his head at Felix and he helps Felix in his subordinates' investigation while thinking whether Kanda could persuade Charlotte or not.

==At Kanda's side.==

Kanda chases Charlotte quickly before he pulls her hands before hugging her in his arms and say: "Char, why don't you stop for awhile and say what do you have inside your mind towards me here? I will try my best to listen at you."

Charlotte can be seen sniffed for a second as she cried a little before she say: "Kanda...is it wrong for me to be involved in the investigation team?"

Kanda rubs Charlotte's back and say: "Not at all, Char, you haven't done anything at all. They might be have another reason for you to be not involved in these cases."

"And why don't they told me about that?" Commented Charlotte before she continues as she leans at his chest: "Do you know, Kanda? It's hurt for me when they had looked at me with those suspicious eyes when I haven't done anything at all. I want to talk with them about that but they had ignored me except for you and your friends, Kanda."

Kanda continues rubbing Charlotte's back and say: "Just ignore them, Charlotte. Although me and Raishin couldn't compare to other students in this academy, we always on your side, Char. Lily and Yaya also on Sigmund's side so you don't need to worry anything. You can ask anything at me or Raishin and we will try our best to fulfill it."

After Kanda said that, Charlotte raises her head and looks at Kanda's face before she say: "Is it true that you will do anything if I had asked something at both of you, Kanda?"

"Of course, Char." Answered Kanda firmly.

"Then...I want a date...A date with you alone without Sigmund and Lily." Replied Charlotte as she had blushed expression when she said that to Kanda.

Kanda had stunned looks on his face which Charlotte had noticed and could not help but to ask Kanda: "Why you look like that, Kanda? Do you couldn't fulfill my request? You had said before that I could ask anything from you."

Kanda wakes up from his stunned state and looks at Charlotte's downcasted expression which he quickly say: "Of course, Char, we could have a date later. You can told me when is it our date are."

"Then, why you had that looks before?" Asked Charlotte.

"Well...I don't think that you would request for a date with me. I'm feel flatter with that request." Replied Kanda.

Charlotte's face becomes redder as she listened to Kanda's reply before she say: "I want to experience on how the date is going but I don't have anyone to act as my companion for the date. That's why I had asked that from you."

"Hahahahaha....then, I will try my best to do my part for your first time." Replied Kanda as he laughing loudly.

"Don't say something so confusing, Kanda." Retorted Charlotte.

"Arere...What is our Miss Charlotte has thinking about? I'm just talking about your first time in the date." Commented Kanda before he smirked and say: "I don't think that our Char here has perverted thinking in her mind."

"SHUT UP, KANDA!!!" Shouted Charlotte before she looks away from Kanda and pouting.

"Hahahaha, I'm sorry, Char. Your expression looks so adorable that I want to tease you. I will compensate at you during our date later." Persuaded Kanda to Charlotte as he had laughed at first.

"Hmph, we will see about it later." Replied Charlotte as she still had puffed her cheeks at Kanda.

"Don't worry, I will not disappoint you. When is it our date, Char?" Replied Kanda before he asked at Charlotte.

"Tomorrow...I will wait you at my dormitory at 8 in the morning." Answered Charlotte at Kanda.

"Alright, we can do that. I will pick you up tomorrow, Char." Commented Kanda before he continues: "Do you want me to accompany you towards your dormitory, Char?"

Kanda can see Charlotte had nodded her head slightly which Kanda had escorted her back. After Kanda had sent Charlotte to her place, Kanda went back to his dormitory with Lily which he visited Raishin's first before to his own room.

Raishin had told Kanda about his finding for today's accident and the conversation with Felix which Kanda just thanked Raishim for believing in him and Charlotte.

Kanda also had told Raishin about his arrangement to date with Charlotte tomorrow where Raishin just commented on how fast that Kanda had picked a girl in this academy.

After that, Kanda returned to his room and sleep after he told Claris and others about his date with Charlotte tomorrow which they wished his luck for that.
