84 Chapter 84 Suspicion

"Cha..Char..Hey, Charlotte, are you fine?" Asked Kanda multiple times as she still in shocked state.

Charlotte looks at Kanda before she say: "...I-I'm fine, thank you and sorry to show my current side at you."

"It's fine, Charlotte, anyone will react like you did if they see this thing." Consoled Kanda before he looks again at the scene in front of him.

There is a wrecked automaton in front of him where its chest had been hollowed and something inside there had been disappeared. Kanda had instructed Raishin to call Felix or any members from the Students Council to come here which he complied immediately.

10 minutes later, Felix, Risette, and a group of students which might have belonged to the Disciplinary Committee had came at the location where Kanda was.

"It's really from the "Cannibal Candy" as this automaton's magic circuit had been scavenged where you can look from its chest that had been hollowed." Answered Felix after his subordinates had reported to him and he told at Kanda and the group.

"Do you know why its magic circuit had been collected by the "Cannibal Candy"?" Asked Kanda at Felix.

"We still investigate about that but magic circuit in the automaton is an important part inside an automaton just like a heart where its abilities had been stored there and without that magic circuit, an automaton can be considered as dead." Replied Felix at Kanda's inquiry.

"That's why it's called as "Cannibal Candy, where its had eaten those things from other automatons. How many automaton had been collected its magic circuit until now?" Commented Raishin before he asks Felix at the end of his word.

"It's 3 in total." Answered Felix before he continues: "Anyway, I want the three of you to be vigilant later as I don't want all of you to be its next victim. You can continue your search for the culprit again and inform me if any of you had received any information about "Cannibal Candy" later."

After Felix said that, he and the Disciplinary Committee had went away from that place after cleaning up the scheme's site.

Kanda looks at Charlotte beside him and say: "Charlotte, what had been happened at you now? Earlier, you had paled expression when you see the corpse and now, you had blushed looks on your face." Asked Kanda at Charlotte while told her about her changed expression.

"It's no-no-nothing at all." Replied Charlotte flustered.

Kanda touches his chin lightly and say: "Hoho~ I see...You has crush on the Chief Disciplinary Committee, am I right, Charlotte?"

"No, I'm not. Forget about me, let's go and continue our patrol around the academy." Replied Charlotte as she going away from that place.

"Wait, Charlotte...don't be embarrassed and tell me about your crush." Kanda said to Charlotte while follows behind her.

"No, I don't want to talk about that." Refused Charlotte as she continues her walking where Kanda behind her.

Raishin just looks at Kanda and Charlotte's interaction where he shakes his head on that before he also walking at their direction with Yaya. However, he stopped for a moment as he heard someone had called him and he looks Risette Norden is the one had called him.

Raishin comes closer at her after he told Yaya to go with Kanda and Charlotte which he also let Yaya to tell both of them to go first without him.

"So, Vice Chief Risette, why you had called me here?" Asked Raishin as he appears in front of her.

"I just want to tell you to be wary for Kanda and Charlotte." Replied Risette.

"Why you told me that?" Asked Raishin as he furrows his eyebrows.

"Nothing at all, I just have suspected one for them as "Cannibal Candy" where their automatons might be a Banned Doll as their strength is questionable especially Ichijou Kanda's automaton, Lily. She had the capabilities to fight in equal terms with Magnus's squadron and Ichijou Kanda could appear suddenly behind Magnus although both of them had only arrived here." Explained Risette.

"So, what if Kanda and Lily had those capabilities to fight Magnus? It's still don't allow you to question their strengths." Said Raishin at Risette.

"Don't you want to know their secret for their strength?" Asked Risette while confused with Raishin's stand about Kanda and Lily.

"Yes, I want to know." Said Raishin while nodding.

"Then, why you side with them?" Risette asked again.

"I'm not really side with them...I just want to respect their privacy and I knew that they will tell me the truth about them later. So, I will wait until that time before I judge them." Replied Raishin.

Risette looks at Raishin's face which he had determined looks there before she sighed and say: "I hope that you don't regret about that later. Anyway, I had already reminded you about Ichijou Kanda and Charlotte Belew, it's your decision to accept that or not."

Risette excused herself from there and leaving Raishin to his thought which Raishin just trust his instinct and believed on Kanda and Charlotte.

Later, Raishin meets Kanda and others where they can be seen sitting near the benches at the garden where Yaya had played with Kyuu-chan while being accompanied by Lily.

They ended their patrol until late evening where Kanda and Raishin separates with Charlotte after sent her to her dormitory.

"Hey, Raishin...what is it in your mind right now? I can see that you always in deep thought after you had met with Risette, Deputy Chief of Disciplinary Committee." Asked Kanda to Raishin as they on the way to the their dormitory.

"Is it from Yaya, you heard that?" Asked Raishin which Kanda nods at his question.

Raishin just sighs a little before told him about the conversation between him and Risette about her thought on Kanda and Charlotte.

"Hahahaha...so, it's about that, Raishin. I thought that you had received love confession from Risette. I just want to congratulate you for getting a girlfriend." Kanda said all of that while laughing.

"It's not something that you could laugh about, Kanda." Commented Raishin as he heard Kanda laughed at him.

"Yes, Ichijou-san, it's not something to laugh about. My position as Raishin's wife will be stolen by that glasses girl." Interjected Yaya with their conversation.

"Yaya, I need you to shut up for awhile. I'm still talking with Kanda here and I don't want you worsen the situation here." Raishin talked to Yaya.

"What!...Raishin! How could you scold Yaya? After you had met with that vile woman, you had changed your attitude on Yaya." Yaya shouted at Raishin.

Raishin held his head for a moment after he had headache from listening to Yaya's words which he told Yaya that he did not feel anything at Risette where Yaya had trusted Raishin.

Raishin sighs and say: "I had already exhausted from responding to Yaya's ethics and thinking about what Risette's had said to me before, I'm really should go to rest right now."

Kanda pats Raishin's shoulder and say: "Relax, Raishin, I can assure you that Lily is not a Banned Doll as she already had that much strength inside her when I have meet her for the first time. For Charlotte, I could advise that we asks her tomorrow about Sigmund as I think that she will answer us later."

Raishin looks at Kanda's face before he nods and say: "Fine, I will do as you say. I also want to hear from her mouth before I make any decision later."

Kanda hits Raishin's back multiple times and say: "That's a right choice, Raishin. Don't make any rash decision until you have sufficient information related to your problems."

After that, Kanda wraps one of his arms at Raishin's shoulder and say: "Anyway, I want to ask you whether you had interested to any girls or womans here as I don't want my friend to be lonely and being accompanied with his automaton partner only."

"Damn you, Kanda. You still don't give up on that. You ask me about girlfriend, how about you? You had been surrounded by those our female classmates ever since our enrollment. I think that you already one or two that you had interested." Raishin countered Kanda's words.

"Of course, I have already girlfriend, Raishin, and it's five of them but..." Replied Kanda before he stopped from continuing.

"But what, Kanda?" Asked Raishin as he looks at Kanda's face.

"They currently located faraway and they are waiting for me and Lily." Kanda said that before looking downwards.

"I'm sorry, Kanda. It's insensitive of me to talk about that with you." Replied Raishin as he looks at Kanda that had downcasted expression on his face.

Kanda raises his head and say: "What are you talking about, Raishin?"

Raishin had confused looks on his face and say: "Isn't your girlfriends had passed away, that's why I said sorry at you."

"WHAT THE HELL!!! No, they are just fine, Raishin. Don't make them died just like that." Shouted Kanda first before he continues his word.

"Eh? If so, why you looks downwards after you had said that your girlfriends were faraway?" Asked Raishin.

"I'm just looking downwards before, that's doesn't mean they have died." Replied Kanda.

"Damn!!! Your words and actions are too confusing for me." Cursed Raishin.

"Anyway, when they had arrived here, I will introduce them at you later." Kanda said that to Raishin before they have entered their own respective room as they reached the dormitory.
