Prologue: The First Cube

In the middle of the dark and desolate forest, a black-robed man appeared so suddenly. The man clutched his head, trying to relieve the pain that was swirling around his head. After the headache subsided, the black-robed man began to observe his surroundings.

There were trees everywhere which indicated that he was currently in a forest. However, the forest atmosphere was very quiet and gave the vibe of a horror genre in horror films. Not only that, it was very dark all around, if the man didn't have good night vision maybe he would've only seen darkness.

After observing for a while, the man named Augus Von Rousseau muttered a little, "Where am I?"

You would be able to see the look of confusion from his red eyes, and at that very moment, the moonlight shone through his jet-black hair. He looked very captivating and charming under the moonlight. With the black cloak he wore, Augus looked like the blood-dringking type, the vampire.

Just as Augus was starting to question about where he really was, an unknown transparent screen appeared before him.

Once again, you could see the look of confusion in Augus' eyes. Unfinished about thinking where he was currently, he was given another new problem that was even more confusing. He thought, what is this transparent screen panel in front of him? And, what is the meaning of this mission?

Although Augus was still confused, his brain started working fast, he decided to look for the whereabouts of other people in the forest. Plus, having [ Mission: Teammates that have joined (0/3) ] meant that there were other people in the forest. The matter of whether that person was a friend or foe, could be considered later.

Just as Augus was starting his move in search of someone else, he heard a very ear-catching wolf howl in the middle of the silent forest. At the same time, Augus said in his heart, 'How can there be a werewolf here!?'

Augus bit his nails as he thought about whether he should go to the source of the sound, or go in the opposite direction. After all, it had long been known that vampires and werewolves were not friendly with each other. You could say the two species were at war with each other for a long time!

However, after some deliberation, Augus decided to head towards the source of the sound. Because, he was in an unfamiliar place, and there was a strange panel before him. So Augus felt it was better to look for information first, and one way was to look for other people in this dark forest.

Therefore, Augus immediately rushed to the place where the werewolf's howl was heard. Since the distance wasn't very far, it didn't take long for Augus to reach the place where the werewolf's howl was heard.

When he arrived, Augus was greeted by the figure of a man with silver hair. His silver hair looked as if it was glowing in the dark. On top of his fairly long hair, there were two wolf ears, which indicate his identity as a werewolf.

His eyes were silver, and his gaze radiated a feeling of danger. The werewolf 's name was Christopher Versilbern. He looked fierce and grumpy. But, other than that, Christopher was a figure that Augus knew.

And, at the same time, the previous transparent screen reappeared [ Mission: Teammates that have joined (1/3) ] with a change.

"Members of the Rousseau family? How did you get here!?" Christopher said, he looked surprised for a moment. However, a moment later, he instantly grew claws from his hands, and charged towards Augus!

Luckily, as a vampire, Augus has the skill to turn himself into a bat, so just as Christopher's claws were about to reach Augus, Augus turned into a bat.

Then, Augus said, "Relax ok? Calm down! I didn't come to fight!"

Hearing Augus's words, Christopher's attack didn't slow down one bit, in fact it went even faster than before! If it wasn't for his bat's small body, Augus might've been covered in scratches by now.

Of course, Augus didn't just give up on negotiating, Augus said again, "Didn't you see the transparent screen just now! We are now in a strange place with strange things (transparent screens and missions)! Shouldn't we have a temporary truce!?"

Christopher remained unresponsive, and continued to attack Augus.

"Is it proper for a pack leader to be so vicious without paying any attention to the situation at all!?" shouted August in annoyance.

"Shut up! Don't you know how many of your people have killed my pack members!?" Christopher said angrily.

However, it is widely known that werewolves have a high sense of brotherhood, especially among their pack members. Of course, they would not tolerate the people who had killed their fellow werewolves.

"Hey... calm down ok...? Hey! Obviously it wasn't me who killed your people, why are you blaming me!?" Augus was annoyed on how he was failing to persuade Christopher for what felt like the gazillionth time.

However, Augus still didn't attack back, even though he was able to do so. The reason is, Augus wasn't the type of vampire who participated the battle with the werewolves. When the battle happened, Augus was hiding in a very peaceful place instead. However, due to lack of combat experience, facing Christopher, the 'General' who had won in many major battles, Augus was caught.

Yes, Christopher's palm was squeezing Augus' little bat form, which somehow fit perfectly in Christopher's hand. Afraid that he would actually be killed, Augus intended to change back into his human form, but before he could do that, a scream appeared that sounded very weak.

Christopher and Augus simultaneously turned to the source of the sound, and found the presence of a small elf, whose size was not even comparable to their heads. The little elf had bangs, hair in the gradient colors from dark purple, to light purple, and purplish red. Her violet eyes, mixed with light grayish blue, narrowed as she looked at Augus and Christopher.

The elf had two thin wings behind her, which helped her to fly. She also had pointed ears, like the elves. However, this fairy that was named Allura Celeste didn't have the weak aura that fairies usually had, Allura instead looked arrogant and graceful.

Surprised, Christopher unintentionally loosened his grip, allowing Augus to escape. However, Christopher didn't care, and said in a surprised tone, "This is.... a Fairy..? How did you get here?"

With an arrogant tone, Allura replied, "Why? Am i not allowed to be here?"

Christopher didn't answer, but just gazed at the fairy in front of him with a strange look. Because, in the world where Christopher and Augus live, there were no fairies, and neither Christopher nor Augus had known that fairies 'infact' did exist. They only heard of the Fairies existence from fairy tales. So, Christopher felt odd.

Meanwhile, Augus noticed something else, a transparent screen appeared in front of him again, with a slight change in the numbers.

[ Time Remaining: 1 Hour ]

Augus wanted to say something, but the sound of approaching footsteps stopped August. Immediately, behind the trees, appeared a person with a cloak that covered their entire body. In a very short time span, Augus immediately knew who it was, the scent wafting through his nose smelled so refreshing.

Immediately, the screen was transparent. However, this time Augus didn't pay any attention to it. In fact, Allura and Christopher were just watching him.
