3 Going on a Trip...

While staring out into the sheer blackness of space, Steve tried to remember everything he learned about this planet that he and the rest of the crew were heading to, but it wasn't much.

Zoya, a planet a bit smaller than Earth, was discovered roughly ten years ago. It was a perfect distance from the sun in an area called the Goldilocks Zone, making it possibly inhabitable. In the Goldilocks Zone, environmental factors allow water to exist on that specific planet. Because all life needs water, a planet in the Goldilocks Zone could potentially sustain life. Zoya had two large land formations and five oceans. This was the 4th planet discovered lying in the Goldilocks Zone of one of Earth's many neighboring galaxies.

This galaxy was the furthest ever recorded galaxy from Earth, so NASA was wary of taking their own astronauts there. NASA wasn't sure if any problems would arise from going so far away from the Milky Way, so they decided to use volunteers willing to risk their lives to enter the deep vacuum of space and travel further than anyone has ever before.

Steve knew that this trip could potentially end terribly and NASA used volunteers specifically because of the unknown effects of traveling so far into space, but Steve didn't care. He wanted to have a magnificent adventure, even if it would result in his death in the middle of nowhere.

With this in mind, Steve felt a bit better with the thought of venturing into the unknown. This was the chance of a lifetime, after all. Who else could go straight from an office to outer space? No one! All of his anxiety left him, and Steve was filled to the brim with excitement again.

Steve looked around the rocket. It had two circular windows on either side, and Steve and his crew were laid down in the middle. They were strapped to comfy chairs so they wouldn't go flying around with no gravity to hold them down. Once the pilots allowed it, they could all unstrap and float around in anti-gravity.

Steve was to the side of Cornelius Richards III and Smeve, and next to them were John, Jane, and Sbeve. Even with light-speed travel, they had to stay in this spaceship for about two weeks. Steve didn't want these weeks to be super awkward, so he started making some light conversation with his fellow crew members.
