13 Chapter – 13 Youth Devil Gathering I

Sometime later, Young Devil Gathering.

After the promotion ceremony was completed, the celebration started.

The young devils of noble pure-blood descent are expected to get to know each other and deepen their friendship in the young devil gathering, and that's what most of the young devils were doing.

Being the heir of the House of Agares, Nova had to do the same, even if he finds these sorts of things extremely tiresome–since too many devils swarm around him all the damn time to curry the favour of the heir of House of Agares–he really has no say in the matter.

Fortunately, Nova already has a few friends… so this entire thing is not going to be too troublesome.

Rias Gremory is a crimson-haired beauty with a fair skin complexion, blue-green eyes, and pretty good breast size for her age.

At Rias's signal, the black-haired beauty stepped forward and introduced herself politely, "It's an honour to meet you Lord Novachrono Agares… I am Himejima Akeno, lady Rias's [Queen]."

Himejima Akeno appeared to be a black-haired beauty with slight oriental features. And just like Rias, she too has a rather large bust size for her age.

Nova nodded, with a smile, "Wonderful meeting you Himejima Akeno." Then looked at the girl named Maria.

Nova remembers that Himejima Akeno is a half-fallen angel, she is the daughter of Baraqiel. Although Akeno is talented and would grow up to become a powerful [Queen] for Rias, that's all there is to know about her. Because Nova knows almost everything there is to know about her from the cannon, he isn't that interested in her.

Even if she is extremely beautiful and would become a busty bombshell as she grows up, Nova isn't fascinated by her beauty either since he has been used to Lavinia and Artoria's beauty.

Maria is a petite beautiful young girl with fair skin complexion, long silver hair and purple eyes, additionally, she has pointed ears and two small black horns on her head.

"From the House of Wilbert?" muttered Nova in surprise as he questioned, "Are you related to Lady Lucia… [Queen] of Lord Lucifer's peerage in some way?"

Maria nodded with a proud smile, as she puffed her non-existent chest in pride, "Yes, Lord Novachrono… I am her younger sister."

"I see." Nodded Nova in understanding as he thought to himself, 'So Maria is the younger sister of the strongest Succubus… It makes sense that she is part of Rias's peerage.

Grayfia Lucifuge has been dead for centuries, and since Lucia Wilbert has replaced Grayfia as the [Queen] of Sirzechs' peerage, it shouldn't be surprising to see changes appear around Sirzechs and the House of Gremory. The appearance of Maria Wilbert in Rias's peerage is one of those changes.'

As Nova understood how someone who wasn't part of Rias's peerage in the cannon became part of her peerage, he also realized that he shouldn't think of Maria to be a little girl. If Maria is Lucia's younger sister, she is a Succubus from that special House, which means, she is definitely not as young as she looks to be.

After understanding the ins and outs of things, Novachrono commended Rias, "You seem to have found some wonderful peerage members."

Rias smiled proudly as she accepted the praise, "Of course, Akeno and Maria are my pride, they are definitely going to be strong and amazing as they grow up." Then she looked at the two ladies behind Nova, and asked, "And what about? Won't you introduce them to me?"

"Of course… of course… Lavinia… Artoria… greet the princess of House of Gremory and her peerage members." Instructed Nova.

The first to step forward was Lavinia, "Greetings lady Rias Gremory, Akeno, and Maria… I am Lavinia Reni, [Bishop] of my lord's peerage."

Because of her special training, Lavinia is able to completely erase the breath of her [Absolute Demise], therefore, unless she is using the powers of her sacred gear, no one can sense the breath of her sacred gear, this is why, no one will come to know that Lavinia is the current wielder of one the thirteen weapons with the power to slay even the Gods.

Therefore, when he saw that, Rias, Akeno, and Maria nodded casually in response to Lavinia's greeting and there was no special reaction, he couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. Novachrono smiled proudly, and nodded, "Well, of course… My Artoria here is a descendant of King Arthur himself."

"Amazing…" Rias marvelled, and asked curiously, "So… Artoria do you wield the Holy Sword Excalibur… or maybe the Sword in the Stone that is passed in the lines of the House of Pendragon?"

Artoria shook her head, "I am sorry Lady Gremory, I do not wield either of those Holy Swords."

Rias was disappointed, "That's a bummer. And here I thought that I would be able to see the power of those legendary swords."

Nova smiled and remained silent. 'Of course, Artoria doesn't wield either of those swords you mentioned, but what she has is something that is on par with the strongest Holy Sword. Naturally, I don't plan on revealing Artoria's weapon at this point.'

After the initial greeting, Nova and Rias were having a light conversation as they were joined by three young devils who appeared to be the same age.

Of the three… Nova was friends with one, acquainted with the second, and recognized the third based on his memory from the canon.

"Nova… Rias… I see you both are already having fun." The one to speak was none other than Sona Sitri, who was followed by a serious-looking bespectacled young woman.

From the other side came a masculine voice of a young man as he called for Rias, "Rias… there you are. I have been looking for you." From the grip, Sairaorg felt when Nova shook his hand, he realized that the green-haired young man is different from the rest, and he couldn't help but point it out, "Nova… you carry out physical training? I can feel the work you have put into training that body of yours."

"Of course." Nodded Nova with a smile, as he spoke, "Considering my fighting style, it's imperative that I carry out physical training, lest I wouldn't be able to display the full potential of my traits. But I am surprised that you were able to make such an accurate guess just from a handshake, and from what I can guess, you seem to be someone whose fighting style is entirely based on physical combat as well, am I correct?"

Sairaorg nodded with a beaming smile, "That is correct." And added with a melancholic expression, "Having failed to inherit the [Power of Destruction, this body of mine is all I have… I intend to become the strongest with this."

Nova could see a fire burning in the eyes of Sairaorg as he made such a declaration. Hearing Sairaorg's ambitions, Nova chuckled lightly, and spoke, "You have great ambitions… but the one who would become the strongest is me."

"We both seem to have the same goal, it appeared we are rivals huh?" muttered Sairaorg as he quirked his eyebrows in surprise.

"I suppose you can say that." Nodded Nova with a fierce smile.

Looking at the interaction between Nova and Sairaorg, Rias, Sona, and Arheya were gobsmacked, and spoke in a dissatisfied tone of voice, "Boys… have you two forgotten that we are also here?!"

As the girls called out, Nova and Sairaorg released the handshake and apologized with embarrassed expressions, "Ah… sorry… it's rare to meet someone with a similar mindset."

Sona, Rias, and Arheya shook their heads with a sigh.

"Anyway… well… I believe we should also introduce our servants." Nova spoke, trying to change the topic.

A giggle broke out from Sona, Rias, and Arheya, and the three of them nodded, "Right."

Nova and Rias's servants introduced themselves, after that it was the turn of Sairaorg, Arheya, and Sona's servants.

The first to introduce were Sairaorg's servants, his [Queen] Kuisha Abaddon–a beautiful young woman with a fair skin complexion, blonde hair tied in a ponytail, green eyes, and large breasts–Kuisha comes from the House of Abaddon, one of the famous extra-devil houses.

After Kuisha, the one to introduce himself was Sairaorg's [Knight], namely Beluga Furcas–a handsome young man with brown hair and green eyes–Beluga hails from the House of Furcas.

After the members of Sairaorg's peerage, it was the turn of Arheya's peerage members. She seems to have only one member recruited in her peerage so far. Arheya's [Knight] Bafeel Furcas–a beautiful brunette in her late teens, she also comes from the House of Furcas and is the younger sister of Beluga Furcas.

Hearing about Bafeel Furcas, Nova blinked his eyes in surprise, 'Wasn't she supposed to be Seekvaira's [Knight] in the cannon? Since Seekvaira no longer exists, technically she should have been my [Knight]… oh well it doesn't matter, it's not like I wanted to recruit her into my peerage…'

After Arheya's peerage members, finally, it was the turn of Sona's peerage, similar to Arheya, Sona also has only one peerage member so far, and that is her [Queen], Shinra Tsubaki–a serious-looking bespectacled young woman with straight long black hair that extends all the way down to her hips, heterochronic eyes, and budding breasts that are neither too large for her age, not too small–she hails from the Shinra Clan, one of the five principled clans from Japan.

In Nova's opinion, so far, only Sona seems to have made the right choice when selecting the [Queen]. Tsubaki is actually a good choice and has the potential of utilizing all the aspects of a [Queen] piece. In this regard, neither, Akeno, nor Kuisha seems to fully utilize the full potential of their [Queen] piece.

Anyway, after the introductions were finished, the five heirs started to have a conversation about various topics.

And while these five heirs were conversing with each other, their servants were also getting familiar with each other as they had light conversations about various topics.

So, yeah, I am done with this chapter, it's sort of like a side story where various characters introduce themselves, and become familiar with each other using the excuse of Youth Devil Gathering.

For those wondering about the identity of Arheya Glasya-Labolas... technically, she is an OC, but not an OC at the same time. Arheya is the unnamed Glasya-Labolas heir in the cannon who was killed by Diodara Astaroth. I have given her a name and an appearance here in this story just for the heck of it.

Finally, Sairaorg Bael came into the picture and established a bro-code rivalry with the MC, the two seem to hit it off quite well considering their similar interest in physical training and goal to become the strongest... Having a few genuine friends is important, I don't want to write a story where it's only harem this, and harem that... woman this and woman that, it becomes bland and just doesn't sit right with me, and I find it weird.

And now, about Rias's peerage, yes I have included 'Naruse Maria' in her peerage. Please don't confuse this with the possibility of the Shinmai Universe being part of the DxD Universe. No that ain't happening... although that is a great idea, but it's not that. The [Rook] of Rias's peerage is an OC for whom I am using the name and appearance of Naruse Maria from Shinmai, there will be a few differences from the original Naruse Maria.

Anyway, now that that's out of the way, let's talk about the Cover page that has changed, apparently, Webnovel has removed the cover since it didn't comply with their policy, and had some nu*dity in it... the bigger issue is that I have lost the right to change the cover of this fanfic for a while, so we will have to make do with the current shity cover that everyone can see. Please bear with it.
