6 Chapter 06: Fossil....

Near the fountain, Alex released all his Pokemon to let them play while he started cooking for them. Darkrai like always left his shadow to search for any possible hostile Pokemon near the fountain.

After his Pokemon finished their meal he decided to continue his journey.

Alex eventually made his way towards the end of the tunnel but suddenly Darkrai emerged from his shadow and blocked his path. Alex was puzzled as Darkrai never behaved like this.

" What happened buddy!!! Why are you blocking our path? " Alex asked for explanation. Darkrai gestured Alex to follow him and started heading towards the east. Alex was puzzled but nonetheless followed after his starter.

Soon both of them found themselves near the shore of a small lake. Darkrai stopped near the water and pointed towards the lake.

" Buddy do you mean there is something inside the lake? " Alex asked as Darkrai nodded. Seeing his starter nodding Alex thought for a moment before making a thin layer of Psychic power around him and jumped into the lake.

Alex started started swimming towards the bottom as Darkrai followed behind him.

When he reached the very bottom he didn't find anything, so he turned his questioning

gaze to Darkrai. Seeing her idiot trainer's puzzled gaze, she snorted and started heading in a specific direction.

After a while finally Alex found the thing Darkrai was interested in. Alex was shocked to find out that it was actually a Pokemon fossil.

In the Pokemon World you could revive a Prehistoric Pokemon using these fossils and also Fossil Pokemon were extremely rare because of the limited number of available fossils.

Alex immediately grinned and stored the fossil to revive later in Cerulean City.

" Thanks buddy for finding that fossil and as a reward i will make some special Poffins for you. " Alex said after coming out of the lake while caressing Darkrai's fluffy white hair and Darkrai simply grunted in acknowledgment.

Alex wanted to scan this fossil but in the next moment decided against it.

Like this their small side adventure was over and the duo set out towards their next destination which was Cerulean City. Alex located the main road again rather quickly as both them finally left Mt. Moon after walking for an hour.

Cerulean City, Pokemon Centre:-

Currently Alex was sitting in front of the monitor while making a call to update about his journey to Professor Oak. Soon the call connected and in the next moment he could see Professor Oak's face on the screen.

Seeing the familiar face of Alex, Professor Oak smiled, " Hey there little Alex. Oh you have finally made it to Cerulean City!! So how was your journey until now? "

" It was great Professor Oak. I have won my first Gym Badge in Pewter City and my Charmander evolved during that match. " Alex went on, " Also i have got three new friends in my team, a Rhyhorn, an Aron and a Scyther. "

Hearing this Professor Oak was surprised, " An Aron? But how did you get it!!! " Seeing the perplexed old man Alex just told him about his meeting with Giovanni but didn't mention his relationship with him.

Oak thought silently for a moment before replied, " Hmmm...very strange, why did he even give you such a rare Pokemon. But regardless the reason, my boy you have to train them well so that they can reach their full potential. " Then he changed the subject, " It seems you are doing rather fine. "

Alex nodded in agreement, " Yes, so far i haven't encountered any trouble yet. Tonight i have decided to rest in the Pokemon Center and will challenge the Cerulean City gym tomorrow. Also Professor please inform my mom about my wellbeing. " Professor Oak agreed and finally Alex disconnected the call.

After waiting for a while Nurse Joy returned with his Poke Balls and Alex decided to call it a day as he went to rest.

The next morning Alex asked around and found the research lab to revive his new member. Soon he found a huge biodome with a grand signboard *Cerulean City Science Museum*.

Alex paid the entry fees and entered the museum. The inside of the huge biodome was divided in three sections. But Alex looked at the map and directly headed towards the final section.

When he walked inside, he found two young scientists both females busy working on their subjects. Noticing Alex, one of them approached him.

" What do you want kid? " Asked the annoyed scientist but Alex didn't mind her attitude and told her about his purpose of coming here, " I am here to revive a fossil. "

The scientist lady perked up hearing this but she still added, " In that case you need 200,000 Poke Dollars, because as you know our lab was sponsered by Sylph Co. and Devon Corporation. So you have to pay in order to revive that fossil. "

Alex just smirked and handed her his Pokedex," You don't need to worry about money because my identity is quite special. "

She frowned a little but still took his Pokedex and inserted to the main computer. In the next moment she was dumbfounded after she found out the privileges Alex had access to.

She sighed in resignation and returned the Pokedex back to Alex, " Alright then, you don't have to pay. Now come with me. " Alex brought out the fossil when he reached near the fossil restoration machine.

" Wow kid, it's actually a Sail Fossil. " The young scientist was surprised as she placed small fossil inside the glass chamber of the machine.

Then she accessed the main computer and started the machine. A green light passed through the fossil and soon the fossil started glowing with a icy blue colour.

These fossils were actually the remains of ancient Pokemon who were already extinct for some reason. But with the advancement of modern technology, now those extinct Pokemon could be revived.

While looking at the complicated process of DNA restoration Alex had many thoughts but his internal monologue was interrupted when he heard the scientist lady's excited scream.

Alex soon found the reason behind because the icy blue light had receded and now an extremely cute looking Pokemon was standing inside the glass chamber.

It was a small dinosour like Pokemon resembled to a Brachiosaurus with icy white skin, belly covered with blue coloured scales, two large adorable blue eyes and a short reptilian tail.

It also had two blue crystals on each side of its body and two thin transparent pink tipped membrane on its head.

Alex immediately recognised this new Pokemon as Amaura. Amaura was looking around curiously but when its gaze landed on Alex it stopped as it could feel very soothing and familiar aura around him.

Alex opened the glass chamber and the 5 feet tall Pokemon rushed towards him with a happy smile on its face.

Amaura walked behind Alex and gave him a intimate hug with its long neck and bulky body. Alex patted its icy cold head with affection as it purred happily.

While caressing his adorable new friend, Alex used scan.

[ Amaura the *Tundra Pokemon* is a Rock/Ice type Pokemon. This calm Pokemon lived in cold land where there were no violent predators. In ancient time, it's said that when Amaura whinnies, auroras appear in the night sky.

This Amaura is a female and knows the moves Hyper Beam, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Ancient Power, Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Hyper Voice and Flash Cannon.

Alex was pleasantly surprised as Amaura was the first Pokemon he had seen until now who had seven base moves. Her level was also pretty high and after level 39 onwards she would be eligible to evolve into Aurorus during night time.

Although she was the youngest one among his Pokemon but with her stats she instantly became the second strongest Pokemon in his team after Darkrai who was currently in level 52.

She was a Shiny one because normal Amaura were blue in colour. Also because of her ability Snow Warning, she could easily survive with normal temperature unlike a normal one who could only stay in a cold place.

" Hey Amaura, I'm Alex. Do you want to join me in my journey? If yes then we can have fun while growing stronger together. " Alex took out a Poke Ball while asking Amaura. Just as he predicted Amaura happily nodded and touched the Poke Ball with her head. She entered the Poke Ball and with three beep the capture was success.

Alex bid farewell to the scientist lady and left the lab.

Once Alex reached the Pokemon Center he released his Pokemon to introduce their new friend and to his surprise the introductions went very smooth.

Everyone seemed to like her which made Alex sigh in relief. Then he used their breakfast as an opportunity to share his ideals and thoughts with her, so that she could understand him better.

But Alex noticed a problem as Amaura didn't like to eat from her bowl like his other Pokemon. So Alex had to feed her and it was actually a new but fond experience for him.

After breakfast he let them play as he planned his next course of action.

Among his Pokemon Scyther was now at level 32, a optimal time for his next evolution and Alex just had to find a Metal Coat, a item necessary for the evolution into Scizor.

Alex decided to buy the item from his system store.

Next was Charmeleon who was at level 25, Rhyhorn at level 17 and Aron at level 19.

Alex's next step was to challenge Cerulean City gym a Water type Gym. Hence he had decided to train Amaura a little before challenging the Gym.

Also because Cerulean City was near the sea, Alex was interested in enjoying the sea beach and if possible find a good Water type for his team.
