1 Chapter 01: Darkrai....
Kanto Region, Pallet Town:-
In a remote corner of Pallet Town, a lone house stood silently. At the top floor inside a quiet bedroom a boy around 15 years old could be seen sleeping peacefully.
Suddenly with a violent jerk, the sleeping boy woke up. He looked around the foreign room with confusion in his eyes for a moment before a mild headache assaulted him.
The headache was the result of the foreign memory forcefully merging with the existant memory. Soon the boy's eyes glittered in understanding as the headache gone away.
Alex Ketchum was 15 years old and the original owner of this body. Due to some mysterious reason he passed away and now the body belongs to our MC, who just took over this body.
Our MC had a very ordinary past, so we shouldn't waste any time and just skip that part. But know this our MC was just a 18 years old teenager in his previous life and a huge fan of Pokemon anime.
" Hmm although i can remember everything, why can't i remember my name or any personal details and also regarding the reason behind my sudden transmigration into this world. " Muttered the boy.

Seeing this information, Alex became dumbfounded. Both of these perks were literally op for any Pokemon trainer. But a sudden female voice interrupted his upcoming thoughts.
" Alex, wake up!!! Hurry up, don't you remember today's the day, you start your journey. " A calm female voice came from outside the room.
The door of his bedroom opened to reveal a familiar middle aged woman. This was Delia Ketchum, Alex's mother. Yes, that's right it was none other than Ash's mother but for some reason in this world instead of Ash there was Alex.
" Alright mom give me ten minutes and I'll be ready. " Alex said with a smile and rushed to his bathroom. Delia smiled a little and returned downstairs.

Currently he was standing in front of the mirror and to his surprise, he had a surprisingly handsome face and slim muscular body. He checked his reflection in the mirror and it was no illusion.
He had raven black hair, with golden eyes and healthy white skin. May be due to the regular exercise and proper maintainance of his predecessor he had an amazing body for a teenager.
He shook his head with understanding and stopped admiring his new body.

After finishing his bathroom activities, he wore a blue pant, white shoes, a white t-shirt and black leather jacket. Just as he wanted to dash to dining hall he remembered something very important, so he asked system.

Alex was speechless for a second after receiving his rewards. Although Ultra Ball, Great Ball and Potions were valuable rewards but compair to his Pokemon Darkrai these were simply trash.
He stopped his beating heart and retrieved the first reward. A miniature Ultra Ball materialised in his right hand. Alex pressed the button as it enlarged into a regular size.
He threw the ball after saying 'Darkrai come out' and the ball opened up with a flash of white light and a sinister looking black and white Pokemon appeared in front of him.
The majority of it's body had black colour with a thin waist and red scarf like neck. Its hair was white in colour and a single green eye with white pupil. Its overall appearance was like ghost or spirit. Darkrai immediately realised Alex's presence and looked curiously at him with its ghostly green eyes.
This Pokemon was Darkrai, a Dark type Mythical Pokemon. Alex looked at the creature hovering in front of him and was feeling beyond ecstatic as his starter Pokemon was a badass Mythical Pokemon.
Soon he calmed his beating heart and cautiously approached the Pokemon.
" Hello Darkrai, I'm Alex. Nice to meet you. " Alex said as he stood near Darkrai. He would admit that he didn't have extensive knowledge about Pokemon and their behaviours but he had to do this in order to gain Darkrai's allegiance.
" Do you want to become my partner in my upcoming journey? I promise i will always treat you as my friend. " Alex said as he waited for Darkrai's response.
Darkrai looked at the boy with its apathetic eyes but he had to admit that this boy had a very calming aura around him. He could also feel no malice from this boy.
So in the end she decided to trust this boy for the moment and nodded her head in response.
Seeing Darkrai's nod Alex laughed aloud. He gently reached out his hand and gently ran on his fingers through the white coloured hair like structure that sprouted from Darkrai's head. Darkrai didn't resist and Alex enjoyed the smooth hair of Darkrai with a grin.
" Darkrai, let me perform a scan on you first. " Alex said while petting Darkrai. He used scan on Darkrai and a new interface appeared in his mind.
[ Darkrai the *Pitch Black Pokemon*. It is a Dark type Mythical Pokemon. According to the folklore this Pokemon will make people see horrible nightmares in moonless night.

This Darkrai is female and knows moves such as Dark Void, Dream Eater, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Hypnosis and Confuse Ray.

Alex's eyes turned into saucers as he looked at Darkrai's moves. To think his Darkrai already knew six moves and all of them were strong ones.
Also her innate ability *Bad Dreams* would help in reducing 1/8 hp of sleeping Pokemon. That means now its move *Dark Void* turned into one hell of a op move.
As she was currently at level-20, Alex couldn't initiate the bond.
" Alright Darkrai let's go downstairs and i will introduce my mother to you. But be good to her okay. " Alex closed the system interface and rushed downstairs. Darkrai snorted but nonetheless agreed and followed behind him closely.

Just as he and Darkrai arrived downstairs, Alex heard a breaking news through the TV.
*** Recently there has been a swarm of angry Fearow sighted around the forest near Pallet Town. Accordingly to the reports the dead count has already reached thirteen whereas almost thirty-five trainers and Pokemon has been found admitted in hospital severely injured.
As a result the league has ordered Sir Giovanni, the strongest Gym leader of Kanto Region to salvage the situation. Hence all trainers are warned to remain cautious during your journey especially beginners. ***
" Mom what do you think? May be i can meet Gym leader Giovanni today on my way. " Alex said after the breaking news was over, " To think i have the luck of meeting the strongest gym leader so soon. " Alex said so because he had to match his behaviour according to his predecessor. In his memory the previous Alex was a huge fan of Lance and Giovanni.
Delia flinched a little as Alex mentioned the matter of meeting Giovanni. The movement was minimal but Alex noticed it clearly.
In this world Giovanni was not an evil leader of Team rocket but a good gym leader. So Delia's unexpected reaction make him curious.
Delia Ketchum was about to say something when she stopped in her tracks as she finally noticed Darkrai behind Alex.
Alex laughed at his mother's reaction and officially introduced both of them, " Mom, she is Darkrai my starter Pokemon. Darkrai she is my mom. "
Darkrai simply nodded her head in acknowledgment whereas Delia was surprised what she heard. But her next reaction was, " Alex, how and when did you got Darkrai!!! How did you even make her acknowledge you when she is a Mythical Pokemon such as Darkrai? " She almost shouted at the end of her speech.
Alex snorted in annoyance and told her about obtaining Darkrai from a stranger and a bullshit story. Alex had prepared a bunch of explanations but to his surprise Delia immediately believed his story.
" I have never thought of having the luck to meet a Mythical Pokemon oneday but nonetheless i am happy. " She muttered in a low voice.
" Now that such a strong Pokemon is with you, i can finally stop worrying about your safety. " She ruffled his hair and then looked at Darkrai, " Darkrai, please take care of my idiot son. "
Darkrai nodded her head in confirmation. Delia smiled and finally brought her gaze back at Alex, " You have to also responsible for her. Now that you guys are partners, you need to take care of eachother. " She said while looking at both of them.
Both friend nodded as they understood their new responsibility about eachother. Delia smiled and went to the kitchen.
