Dalmatia didn't bring me to her king straight away either. She couldn't.

Why?

Well, first, we passed those 'Adamas' gates—godsdamn, they were huge—and although they were half-open in a gesture of welcome, I couldn't walk through them without feeling a sense of trepidation crossing my mind almost as if someone had slid an ice cube down my back, and not in a fun way like when Liara was kissing me.

I've felt this feeling a couple of times before. Most recently, I stood in front of Castle Vlad's front door. It was like walking into a dungeon where worries over the unknown pressed against one's courage.

Yeah, that's right. For me at least, Niðavellir suddenly seemed like a dungeon…a high-level one at that.

This feeling wasn't the only weird thing about entering the city either. There was also why Dalmatia couldn't just call up a ride to get us to the palace immediately.
