Threads of Trust

Now, every day after returning from the academy, I dedicated my time to cultivating both my Flame chart and the power of Primordial Darkness, striving to harness their full potential. Alongside, I persistently worked on improving my proficiency with Sharingan, though it appeared to be a more time-consuming endeavor compared to mastering magic.

/////ONE MONTH LATER/////

"After a month of rigorous training, I've finally reached the last step in mastering magic, and soon I'll be able to wield it effectively," I muttered to myself during a light jog.

To use magic you need to complete a 3 step process. First meditate to clear your thoughts and to see your star chart. 2nd you need to make the stars align in a magic circle form in the star chard and lastly you need to keep it that way while manifesting the power in the real world.

Unlike the first element that needs so many things needing to be dome the darkness element only needs me to have the ability to manipulate mana and to have high mana reserves.

Even though I am unable to use the Fire magic but my proficiency in using the darkness has increased a lot. But it's only good enough to grab small objects at the moment.

Moving on, it seemed my stats had experienced an unexpected boost. Whether it was the influence of the system or the Primordial Darkness, they elevated more swiftly than I had anticipated.

My strength is increasing quite fast, as it would usually take 2-3 months' worth of training to increase these things in real life, so it's quite the boost.

And my MP increased so much because of the energy provided by the Hogyoku, which I consume every morning. I also found out that I could use it as an energy reserve and use it in times of danger as that energy could also be used to replenish my mana.

With those thoughts in my mind, I continued running

...

Ye Xinxia, with her usual cheerful smile, was making her way home when a group of menacing figures suddenly surrounded her. Their intentions were clear - they eyed her wheelchair with a sinister curiosity.

"Hey, pretty girl, that's a fancy wheelchair you got there. Mind if we take you for a spin?" One of them sneered, a malicious grin spreading across his face.

Ye Xinxia, sensing the danger, tightened her grip on the wheelchair handles, her smile fading into a look of concern. In the face of adversity, she remained remarkably composed.

"Come on, sweetheart, look at our boss trying so hard to get you. You won't refuse him right?" Another one chimed in, attempting to snatch the handles.

Just as the situation seemed to escalate, a shadow fell over the group. Vlad Drăculea, who happened to be passing by, noticed the commotion. His eyes narrowed, and an angered expression crossed his face.

"Is there a problem here?" Vlad's voice cut through the tension, his gaze fixed on the harassers.

The thugs, now aware of an unexpected challenge, hesitated for a moment. Ye Xinxia seized this opportunity to speak up, her voice steady yet pleading, "Brother Vlad, these guys are trying to take me somewhere forcefully."

A flicker of anger passed over Vlad's face. "Release her wheelchair immediately, or you'll regret it.

Not heeding Vlad's warning, one of the hooligans brazenly stepped forward, brandishing a bat in his hand. The malicious intent in his eyes showed that he was ready to escalate the situation further.

Vlad's eyes narrowed, and a serious aura enveloped him. He took a step forward, positioning himself between the thug and Ye Xinxia. "I gave you a chance to walk away peacefully. Now, you're crossing a line."

Vlad's patience wore thin as the hooligans persisted in their aggressive behavior. Vlad punched one of them in the face making him fall to the ground with a nosebleed.

As the confrontation escalated, one of the hooligans used brass knuckles to hit Vlad in his stomach and threw him on the ground.

While being hit by the enemies Vlad felt a surge of power within him. The air around him thickened, and shadows seemed to dance at his command. With a sudden burst, his eyes transformed into Sharingan with 2 tomes in them —this time, the Sharingan and the eerie manifestation of shadow magic working in tandem.

[New Skill Obtained]

Ignoring the message in my anger I used genjutsu that made it appear as if multiple shadowy figures surrounded them. While they were in the confusion Vlad disarmed them, leaving them bewildered and defeated.

After unarming them Vlad started beating them with the bat I had in my hand without any care for their life.

As Vlad was hitting them like an animal Ye Xinxia came beside me and grabbed my arms" Brother Vlad please stop now they can't do anything anymore" She said while pointing toward their miserable state

Ye Xinxia's plea reached me through the haze of anger that clouded Vlad's judgment. With a deep breath, he reluctantly ceased the onslaught, allowing the bat to fall to the ground. The hooligans, bruised and battered, lay defenseless at his feet.

Breathing heavily, Vlad turned away from the defeated aggressors, his grip on the bat loosening Sharingan deactivating. The shadows that had enveloped him began to dissipate as the adrenaline-fueled rage subsided.

"Are you okay ?" Xinxia asked with concern in her eyes

....

"Ah, yes I am alright," I said while feeling a little pain in my head as I could see a scene where I was sitting with the parents of this world and there was another person beside me whose face couldn't be seen as if hidden behind a curtain.

Ye Xinxia nodded, her gratitude evident. "Thank you for protecting me, Brother Vlad. But violence isn't the solution. Let's go before things escalate further."

" Yeah let's get out of here," I said, taking her wheelchair handle and taking us away from the scene of the confrontation and erasing the memory that had just surfaced.

"Brother Vlad, I didn't expect you to step in like that," Xinxia remarked, her fingers nervously playing with each other.

"What did you think? That I would let others harass my little Xinxia?" I responded, my expression turning serious.

Xinxia's cheeks flushed with a hint of shyness as she continued, "Um, Brother Vlad, you're really strong and cool. I didn't know you had such abilities."

I scratched my head, trying to downplay it. "Ah, it's nothing special. Just some basic self-defense skills."

She giggled softly. "Well, I think it's amazing. Thank you for being there for me."

"Anyway, Xinxia, what were you doing there?" I inquired.

"Brother Vlad I was waiting for Mo Fan to take me home but he seemed a little late, "Xinxia said looking a little downcast.

"You should tell him that you went home before him, and I will pick you up from tomorrow onwards," I said, a hint of displeasure in my tone towards Mo Fan.

I had forgotten about this event, considering it wasn't an important part of the story.

"Really, Brother Vlad? Will you come to pick me up?" Xinxia asked with expectations in her eyes.

"Yes, I will surely come," I said, smiling and giving her a thumbs up.

A comfortable silence settled between us, broken only by the rhythmic sound of her wheelchair. Xinxia stole glances at me, her shy smile telling me that our bond had taken a new turn, one that went beyond the usual friendship.

It seemed she didn't notice my use of Sharingan in between the confrontations.

"Brother Vlad, didn't you awaken the Fire element? So, what was the power you used before?" Xinxia asked hesitantly, continuing, "You didn't come in contact with some dark organization like Black Vacation or something, did you?"

"Black Vacation?" I chuckled at her choice of words. "No, it's nothing like that. The power I used was a form of magic, a special ability I possess. You could say it's a family secret"

She looked curious, her eyes widening. "Family secret? That sounds intriguing. Can you tell me more about it?"

I grinned, enjoying the newfound interest she had in my mysterious abilities. "Well, maybe someday. For now, let's focus on getting you home safely. I promise to share more stories with you in the future."

As we continued our journey, the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the horizon. The path ahead seemed filled with possibilities, and I couldn't help but wonder where this unexpected connection with Ye Xinxia would lead us.
