Imprisonment

Chapter 2: Imprisonment

As Orion drifted in and out of consciousness, he felt a weight on his chest and heard the sound of beeping machines. He slowly opened his eyes, trying to focus on his surroundings. All he could see was a bright light shining down on him and a blurry figure in front of him.

He tried to move, but found that his arms and legs were restrained. Panic set in as he tried to struggle against the restraints, but to no avail.

"Mr. X, please remain calm. You are currently in a secure facility and we need to ensure your safety," the figure said in a calm voice.

"Who are you? Where am I?" Orion asked, his voice hoarse.

"My name is Dr. Johnson and you are currently in a government facility in Area 51," Dr. Johnson replied.

Orion's heart raced as he realized he had been captured by the government. He remembered the mechanical sound he heard in the cave and realized it must have triggered some sort of alarm.

"Why am I here? What do you want from me?" Orion asked.

"Mr. X, you possess a unique ability that we believe can be of great importance to our country. We need to study your abilities and learn how we can harness them for the greater good," Dr. Johnson explained.

Orion's mind raced as he tried to figure out what ability they were talking about. He had always been a normal person, with no extraordinary abilities.

"What ability are you talking about?" Orion asked, confusion evident in his voice.

"We believe that you have been exposed to a space-time transmission technique that has left you with the ability to draw energy from the void. This ability could have significant implications for our country and the world," Dr. Johnson said.

Orion was stunned. He had no idea what they were talking about, but he knew that he had to get out of there.

"Let me go. I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just a normal person," Orion pleaded.

"I'm afraid we can't do that, Mr. X. For your safety and ours, we need to study you and learn how to control your abilities. Rest assured, we will not harm you," Dr. Johnson said.

Orion knew he was trapped. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on his surroundings. He could feel a strange energy emanating from his body, but he didn't know how to control it.

Days turned into weeks as Orion was subjected to a battery of tests and experiments. The government scientists took samples of his blood, bone marrow, and every other part of his body in an attempt to understand his unique abilities.

Orion was kept in a small cell, with no windows or natural light. He was fed a bland diet of bread and water, and was given no access to the outside world.

As time passed, Orion realized that he was becoming more powerful. He could feel the energy coursing through his body, and he knew that he had to find a way to escape.

He spent hours meditating and trying to understand his abilities. He discovered that he could draw energy from the void, but he didn't know how to control it. He also discovered that he could manipulate matter with his mind, but only in small amounts.

Days turned into months as Orion continued to experiment with his abilities. He knew that he had to escape, but he didn't know how.

One day, as he was meditating, he heard a voice in his mind.

"Orion, can you hear me?" the voice said.

Orion was startled, but he recognized the voice. It was the same voice he had heard in the cave.

"Who are you?" Orion asked, his voice barely a whisper.

"I
