19 Wake up!

The darkness was already agonizing enough, but everything got even worse, when she felt something wet her feet, it was as if they were filling a box and she was stuck inside, not knowing where to go. The girl then began to remember the day when she was pulled by the strong current.

These thoughts invaded her head without mercy, it was like a hallucination, strong enough to cause her a headache.

All Alyra felt at the moment was a terrible frustration, whenever she needed it most, she was always alone. It just reinforced her, the feeling that no matter how much she needed to do something, most of the time, she would have to do it for herself.

—I finally found you.—she heard a voice, and tried to search, but found nothing.

—Who is it?—She asked, her voice shaking.—I'm scared, I can't see.

Screams started to be heard, and Alyra started to despair, he screams reminded her, from the moment she was trapped in the dungeon, it was torturous, even if it was just a memory. Alyra knew it had been real, she knew it had been there, but she had no idea how it turned out, all she thought about was that she shouldn't be thinking about it, not at that moment.

—What's going on?—She asked, trying to walk, hands outstretched, as if she were trying to touch something.

Alyra's heart started to beat even harder, and she started to feel short of breath, it was something she hadn't felt in a long time.

—Why don't you answer me?—she said with a pain in her voice —You need to help me!

The person sighed, and held the girl's hands automatically, Alyra had a strange feeling, it was as if she knew who she was, but she couldn't remember who.

—Yes, I will.—Said.— But you need to wake up!

Even the voice was similar, she knew only two people with that exact voice, she and ...

—Vega?—She asked.

The person was silent, causing the girl to step back, the girl was increasingly confused.

—So it's you ...—she said— You are the girl on the other side …

Alyra was fighting a difficult battle against herself, nothing made sense, why was Vega doing that? Why was she forcing the girl to kill, and to do bad things?

—Yes—said Vega.

The confirmation hit Alyra like a punch to the stomach, none of that made sense, since when had they become enemies?

—Why are you doing this?—asked confused.—I thought you were on my side

—I can't tell.—she said—I need you to find out first, and only then can I get you out of here, otherwise, we will die in this place.

Vega said this calmly, almost coldly, and it was what most made Alyra want to scream, how could she stay calm? The world was falling apart in her heads, they were practically going to die.

Fatigue took over the girl's body, she didn't want to fight anymore, she didn't want to continue, maybe she had already done this for a long time, and the time had come to accept it, everything was trying to kill her.

Vega noticed something in Alyra, her eyes were dull, her breathing was calm, the water was high, almost covering them, she had only seen that look on the girl once, when her parents died, but now it seemed much worse.

—Alyra, what are you doing?—She asked.

—Giving up.—she replied and sighed.—It must be a year today...I don't know, because I don't know how people count here. I learned a lot of things, but I didn't learn that, in fact I didn't know how to understand the clock either in my world, the numbers have always been scrambled for me.

Soon Alyra's tears dried up, and she just seemed to be looking at a fixed point, even though the reality was that she wasn't seeing anything, the girl felt her body going numb, but she didn't seem to feel anything else.

—I don't want to continue.—the girl said.—I don't want to live anymore.

—Alyra don't say that, you won't die!—Vega said.

—You can have my body now.—she said.—I know that's what you want, that's what everyone seems to want here, my powers, my body, or want my help, so take it, you can stay, but can you let me rest in peace?

There was silence, all that was heard was the sound of the waves, which already lifted them off the ground, it was as if they were at sea.

—Just let me die.—she concluded.
