11 The real enemy

Already in her room, Alyra decided that crying was no longer an option, she had already realized that fighting all that would not work, she could not take the potions because those people were completely obsessed with this ability, and would never help her take it away from her.

Beside her, one of them was sitting, just looking at her face, and seeing that the girl had no expression.

He felt worried, and tried at all costs to keep everyone else away, but now, it would be completely impossible, he saw in her eyes, it was emptiness, something he was already used to, and now, she would be too .

—It's a pleasure to meet you.—said the girl.

—Can you talk to me?—The spirit asked, surprised.

He looked like a person, he also had no eyes, just a dark hole, but his face was milder than the others, he had no wounds, and he wasn't even screaming, his voice was cautious and curious.

—If I can hear you, why can't I speak to you?

—It is not supposed that we could have a conversation, when someone listens to us, it is just what we want to say, the person cannot question, or ask to know more, it's not really a conversation, we just say what we want them to hear.

Both were silent, each lost in their own thoughts, thinking about their own things, different from what the others thought, the spirits also had a lot to do. Alyra then decided to break the silence, saying:

—I have a feeling you're going to teach me more than they do.

—I'm glad you noticed.— another voice answered, there were two now.

This one was more serious, and was leaning against the window, arms crossed, it was similar to the first, but it seemed less curious and less friendly.

—What made you change your mind about us?—He asked.

—I am beginning to realize that in this world, you are not really who I should fear.—Alyra said.—They threw me here, as if I were just a toy, they want to be my mentors, but they are not even able to understand what I try to explain. They threw my potions away, and now I can't even sleep in peace anymore, I need to live with you all.

—We don't like them either.—Another voice reinforced.

—But we need them.—the other added.—I think you should go home, this is no place for you, they are not helping you at all.

Everyone in the room started to think about the possibility, it didn't seem like a bad idea, especially now.

—I've been trying to talk Mrs Hugs to take me home, but she doesn't want to, she said I need to learn to deal with you, I know it's not because she's bad, but I would still like her to listen to me.

The girl sighed passing a hand over her face, the girl's head started to hurt.

—We will help you.—said one.

—The problem is not you.—The girl replied tiredly.

At that moment, everyone was confused, after all, she feared them, because she was denying it now.

—How so?—One asked.

—You were never my problem, you are calm, my problem is the others, the ones that chase me, the ones that scream, the most scary.—She looked back at them.

Everyone remained silent, when they noticed that the girl had already slept, decided to continue talking, and perhaps to resolve the situation of the girl.

The spirits who were present in the room began to discuss the possible solutions to the girl's problem.

—We can't keep them from her.— said one.

—I think we should start explaining everything to her tomorrow, and when she takes the test, we help her answer, so they won't be disappointed.—The other started.

—I don't know if it's good in the long run, they don't get along with her, no matter how well she does, they will continue to be bad, and you know very well the reason.

Everyone was silent, thinking again about what to do, trying to find a solution, suddenly, one of them appeared in a hurry, wanting to alert them. The others looked at him curiously, and soon asked:

—What happened now?—He said more seriously, still leaning against the window.

—I heard them talking, they are trying to find a way to take the power from her, and transfer a little to each one, they believe that this way their block will be broken, and they will be more powerful.— which now seemed scared.

—But that's not possible, you don't have to worry.—said the more calm one.

At this point, everyone seemed to be comfortable with the conclusion, but the one who told the news tried to reinforce the message.

—I and the others try to warn, but Celine does not want to pass the message on to the others, they will try until they succeed!

—But it can kill her, you can't transfer magic, you need to born with it.

—As I said, we told Celine this, but she doesn't want to get the message across!

He exclaimed loudly, the noise made Alyra wince in bed, but as soon as she was comfortable, she went back to sleep soundly. The others remained silent for a while, until they were sure that she was not listening.

—We are going to let her rest well, tomorrow we will think about it, but now we need to think about how we are going to teach her.

The others agreed, and spent the rest of the night, whispering quietly about what they were going to do.
