2 The killer

“Alyra?”

“Alyra!”

“Alyra, wake up!”

Slowly the girl opened her eyes, she tried to breathe, just to realize that it was in the water, desperately, Alyra started to swim.

When she finally arrived on the surface, put both hands in the soft grass. Already in a security place, the girl felt how if her whole body was aching, her lungs were heavy, and her head seemed to be hammering. Each time, she twisted, it was as if her insides burned, she crawled across the floor, and began to squirm, her whole body burned, and her bones felt broken.

—Why hurt so much?—asked between screams.

"They constantly applied a paralyzing potion to you, your body is just expelling the spell."

—How do we get out?— said weakly.

“It's better if you don’t know.”

—I asked, how do we get out?— insisted, while arching her back in pain.

“Alyra…”

—You are in my head, whoever you are!—said, trying to calm her breath—You should know that I don’t like lies, not even that they hide anything.

Without say nothing more, the Alyra’s eyes start to shine, and now, she was seeing her past.

“Alyra was better, and all she had to say was yes. It was how if her whole body was healthy and strong, but that was not completely her, but a part of the girl that she didn't know existed, a part that coexisted in secret her whole life, and now was back.

She walked to the door and opened it, they really underestimated her, without fear she went down the stairs, and looked for the two responsible for her suffering, the ones responsible for getting her out of her quiet and safe life.

She looked normal, the only thing that could demonstrate her new state was her veins, which were bulging, pulsing more blood than a human usually does in a curt time, and her eyes were now black, with two pupils of a brilliant wine colour.

Out of the house, just a deep and dark night, there was only one room with the light on, the office, where her "parents" were now, discussing her evil plan for her.

—We have to get her to him today, we have already sucked her fluids enough, and if we do anything else, we will be dead.—Said the woman

Of course, they wouldn’t follow his orders completely, they wanted more than he had offered.

—It was so fun, but it was going to end eventually... that’s okay, I think we have had enough.—the man replied.

Alyra watched them through the doorway, and purposely closed the door. She wanted their attention, and she had succeeded.

—What was this?—the woman asked, worried.

—What if it's someone from her family?—The man asked.

—I told you that we should have researched more about this girl and humans, but no.— she scolded.

—It's not my fault.—the man replied.

—"Let's go by instinct, it shouldn't be so hard"—she repeated what the man had said. Stay with her and I'll go to the door.

Little did they know that the hunt became a hunter.

The woman went to the door, and looked confused when she saw no one, heard hasty footsteps and realized that was her partner.

—What was it this time, why the rush? Why aren't you with her?—She asked without patience.

—Because she's gone.

They walked through the dark corridors, looking for the girl, but they never found her.

—She can't have left the house!—said the woman, already tired from looking for the girl.

—So where the hell is she? We ran this house looking for her.

—You forgot to look up.—said, it was Alyra, who was calmly propped up on the ceiling, high enough to not be seen.

Too late, they didn’t even have a chance to say anything before the girl beheaded both bodies. Coldly, she dragged the two bodies lifeless into the yard, the part where he couldn’t be seen, with the gasoline, which was kept in the garage, in case it was useful, she was now covering them, and with matches, she incinerated the bodies.

After locking the house, mopped the floor, and went over to the bodies again, and made sure it was just dust now.

Alyra moved the earth well with one of the shovels that were kept there, for gardening, and finally, dragged the plant pots over there, covering the place.

It was as if nothing had happened, she just needed to make a good excuse.

—Hello? Mr. Goldbert? Can you tell our acquaintances that we are going to move to other country?—asked calmly—I’m telling you, because my parents are a little busy right now, and forgot to say that, Oh...And they said that you can keep the house, we don’t need it anymore, the extra key is with you, and ours will be on the kitchen counter! Thank you, Mr. Goldberg.

After the brief conversation, she went up to the bathroom and turned on the bathtub, after it was full, Alyra turned off the tap, got in there, and sank into the water, a strong light illuminated the entire bathroom, which had the light off, and in moments there was no longer any evidence that the girl had been there, not even the water, which was gone, just like her. ”

Taking a deep breath, and back to the present moment, Alyra felt better, physically, but her feelings were a mess, what made the girl's heart hurt the most was that even though they were so different from her parents, their bodies were still the same, which made seeing their death through her own hands hurt too much. She didn't understand how all of this could be happening to her, and for whatever reason, she just wanted to be able to wake up, and find out that it was all just a nightmare, about to end.

—I killed them …—she whispered.

Even if they were no longer her parents, apparently, Alyra would never be able to kill anyone, even more so coldly.

"Well, we can say that."

—Was that the solution?—whispered again— Couldn't you have warned me earlier?—She said, tears forming in her eyes, her expression was completely startled.

"If I did, would you accept?"

—Of course not!

"So the answer is no, I couldn't tell."

—You possessed me? What kind of being are you?—asked unbeliever

“We are, Alyra. I am a part of you, no use crying, fighting or hating me, we kill them, and we will kill whoever appears in front of us, if that means our safety! ”

—I wish I never met you …— she said quietly.

"What? I just save our life."

—I WANTED I NEVER MEET YOU!— Alyra shouted.—I wanted to be at home, with my parents, eating something delicious, and hearing scolding for watching movies later in the night, or reading a book, I wish none of that had happened.

"Oh, I'm sorry dear."

—No! You don't feel sorry, don't act like that! I saw everything, you don't show any emotion or compassion, whatever you are, you made me kill, without any pity, and now, I'm a monster.

"I did it for you, Alyra!"

—LEAVE ME IN PEACE!

She screamed, hitting her own head, screaming at the top of her lungs, and trying to think of something other than that. But the beheaded bodies simply did not leave her memory.

"OK! But stop hurting yourself, it has already happened, and we can't go back! "

Now they were both quiet, but Alyra's mind was a mess, and all she could think about, is what would she do with her life now?
