20 Illusion

The amount of water covered the girl's head when she sank herself, hoping that in a short time, the water would invade her lungs, but before she could breathe the water, she felt her hair being pulled hard, and surprisingly she received a strong slap in the face.

—Why did you do that?—She exclaimed in pain, placing a hand on the cheek with a red mark.

—You have no idea what I went through to be here, girl.—Vega said. —I saw exactly everything that happened to you, and I'm already tired of looking into your eyes and seeing that self-pity. You need to react!

Alyra was still shocked by the slap, but after a while, she started to think about what would happen, if Vega hadn't done that.

—Was I going to kill myself?!—Asked with wide eyes.

—Did you come to yourself?

— Yes, I don't know what came over me, but at the moment it seemed like the best thing to do.—she replied and sighed.

—That was the purpose of that place.—Vega replied.

A strange sensation passed through Alyra, it was as if she had a lot of energy in her body, and could feel the light invade her eyes, which gave her a slight headache, after getting used to the sensation, she could look at Vega, and felt the water start to fade away.

When all the water was gone, both appeared in a white room, it was so big that it seemed to have no end, and soon the girl had the feeling that she had already been there.

—You did it, Alyra.—Vega smiled proudly.—Just be calm, you'll know what to do, don't forget, here everything is possible.

—What?—she asked looking around.—Where is everyone? And Ellen, I need to go back to help them, where are we? Vega?

Vega did not answer, so the girl turned around, worried about what would happen if they lost each other again, but when she looked, there was no one else there but her.

—Not again…

Alyra didn't know what to do, she just looked back, and saw a door, which hadn't been there before, assuming she was supposed to come in, she slowly started to approach, afraid of what might await her on the other side.

With the rest of the courage she had in her body, alyra took her trembling hand to the handle, but she didn't have to turn it, because as soon as she touched it, the door slowly opened.

—What the hell is going on?—She wondered when she saw what awaited her.

She put her feet in the soft sand of the small island, surrounded by a lot of water.

When she realized it was a bad idea, she started to retreat, until she felt her feet get wet, the door was gone.

—I have a feeling that everything I do risks my life.—she said tiredly, closing her eyes and putting her hand on her head.

Although everything was going very badly, it soon got worse, she opened her eyes quickly, and realized that the islet was not there, she kept moving away more and more, until it was impossible to see.

—SOMEONE TAKES ME OUT OF HERE!—She shouted, still struggling, but nothing was happening, there was no one around.

After a while, she felt her foot being pulled into the water, which made her even more desperate.

When she looked, it was a version of the girl, with completely white eyes, holding her tightly.

It was strange, and very scary, she tried to break free, but that being seemed much stronger than her.

After a few minutes, the creature moved her mouth, seemed to be saying something, but it did not reach Alyra's ears, the air started to run out of her lungs, and her eyes started to turn black.

Alyra has lessened her attempts to fight, and she feels more and more tired, but then a memory pulsed in her mind, it had happened before.

She tried to stay awake, but she knew that soon she could lose consciousness, still holding her breath, focused her attention on the creature in front of her. Then she finally understood …

—This is not real!—the creature said.

Being aware of this, she started to breathe in the water, that didn't bother her anymore, the girl in front of her then gave an insane smile, the two were now in another place, it was a very big place with a lot of echo, but completely shattered, it was like the ruins of some old castle, which was dark and had only a few candles lighting.

—Who are you?—Alyra asked, still a little afraid.

—Isn't that clear?—The girl replied, still holding her.—I am you!

—No, you are not.— she replied.

—I am, Lyrae.—the girl insisted.

—My name is not that, my name is Alyra.

The girl gave a loud laugh, and held it tightly in her face, a strong glow started to emerge.

—But one day you will be.—she replied, smiling.

Alyra opened her eyes and looked for air, tried to raise her hands, but heavy chains held her, a loud scream came out of the girl, she was angry, more than all the other times, it was so loud, that red lights started to flash.

However, the only thing the girl could think of was that she never left the dungeon, all these months, all these people, all the things she learned, were just an illusion.

Meanwhile, in the castle, the pale woman kept the same bored look she always had, just sitting on her big throne of dry, pointed bones.

It was a rare piece, there were the bones of each of her ancestors, each king and queen who had already dominated the spirit realm, had their bones there, there had been many, which made the throne great and imposing.

—You look down today, dear queen.—said one of her loyal servants.

—I don't feel well today.—Replied the woman, lazily.

The servant just agreed, and decided to shut up.

—Queen!— A high-pitched scream was heard, capable of frightening the woman.

Something that really didn't please her, she hated it when things like that happened, for that reason, the woman stood up from the throne with an unfriendly expression, and said:

—Who dares to disturb my peace?—She asked angrily.

—I'm sorry, Majesty, the girl...—said tired of running— She woke up!

—HOW DID HER WAKE UP?—The woman screamed.
