1 My pet dog changed into a Sun God

Dear readers, I wanted to ask you, is it my fault that I am the son of the almighty king of Olympus. I never asked to be a half-blood. So if it's not my mistake, then why does every second person I meet, wants to kill me?

Readers I'm warning you what lies ahead, isn't a joke. It may seem it's not real and believe me, one year back I thought the same but what happened next changed my entire life.

So if reading this changes your life too then don't say I didn't warn you.

My name is Adrian Crimson and I'm sixteen years old. I was living a completely normal life until... my pet dog turned into a Sun God. Crazy, isn't it? Well... that pretty much describes my whole life.

I was grown up listening to the stories of Greek Gods and I always admired them. My mom, Clara Crimson, was a saleswoman in a library and that's how I came to know about the Greeks and it was part of my day to visit the library.

That day too I planned to go to the library after the school. We had a science project to complete which I wasn't interested in at all but, you know, that's how student's life is doing some good-for-nothing rubbish shit and then being stared at for forgetting a thing or two. But how is that my mistake if I am not good at science. Well, okay I admit it's obviously my mistake but never mind.

So I reached the library a bit late. I opened the main brown gate and stepped inside. Strangely, there wasn't anyone. The silence was so intimidating. It felt... well, wrong.

Then I heard someone talking and I knew it was my mom. The sound was faint so I could barely make out a word. I quietly moved towards the voice and heard a woman's voice talking to my mom.

"You cannot hide it from him always." the woman's voice said. "You have to tell him now. He deserves to know."

"Okay. I... I will tell him. But you have to promise me that you'll take care of him, at any cost." mom's voice seemed broken. As if she had been asked to do something impossible. Standing there, eavesdropping, I felt like a thief. A very inexperienced and clumsy thief because when I moved closer to the room from where the voices came, my hand hit a vase and on hitting the floor, it was shattered into pieces making a loud noise in that deadly-still library.

"What? Who's there?" the woman asked as she opened the door and I found myself facing an extremely beautiful and attractive lady. She was... twenty-five? twenty-six? well, to me her face seemed timeless. She had almond eyes and caramel-colour hair, braided over one shoulder. she wore simple jeans and top but her beauty made those simple clothings look like they had been designed by the most excellent fashion designer in history.

"Hmm" she said and I heard my mom's footsteps coming towards us.

"What happened ? Who was there? " she asked. When she saw me she became still as a statue. I totally felt like a thief who was caught red-handed and I telling you, it wasn't fun at all!

"Did you hear us?" mom asked, I'm not sure if I imagined it or it was true but I saw, for the first time since I was a kid, fear in her eyes. As if I was not the thief here and she was caught stealing something. Her seemed like she would break any moment.

Seeing her like that I didn't felt like lying so I told her the truth. When I was done she put her hands on my hair and caressed it gently and lovingly.

"Mom, I am sorry. I actually didn't mean to eavesdrop." I said and she smiled.

" It's okay dear. I was going to tell you anyway."

"what? you were talking about me?" I asked.

"Yes" the woman said, her tone was serious as if we were just about to drop an atom bomb somewhere.

"Adrian, I have something to tell you. I never told you much about your father. Well there's something you should know about him. He's ...um, he's a Greek God, the King of God's, Zeus." she said.

"He is what?" I shockingly asked.

"oh mom, please stop joking around." I said but the seriousness on the faces of the two women standing in front of me told me that they weren't joking at all and I was the only fool laughing over there.

"It's not a joke, kid. Your father is Zeus, the Lord of the Sky." the woman said. Who was she? I know my mom's every friend. And I clearly remember I never saw her.

And like she read my mind, she said "Yes, it's your first time seeing me, demigod."

"What?" I said. I totally was shocked to my core. Things couldn't have got any crazier but I was wrong this was just a beginning of my miserable, deadly and exceedingly sucking life as a half-blood.

"Alright I have some work. So I'll be leaving now." the woman said and gave mom a quick glance before leaving the library.

And then I looked at my mom. My eyes asking her to tell me everything.

"Okay, I am going to tell you everything but you have to promise me that you won't do anything restless after hearing it." she said and I nodded. She took a deep breath before starting.

"Listen, I met your dad in a cafe..." I heard the first statement and I was like 'say what now.' I mean Zeus, the king of Gods, sitting in a cafe ordering some lightening coffee or a storm tea like a retired old man. But I decided not to say it to mom.

"And that's how we started dating each other." she continued. "He was my everything and I loved him more than anything in this world. And after a year, you came around, my cute little baby bun." she said as she caressed my hair.

"Your father was very happy but at the same time your security concerned him. He feared that if Hera ever found out that he fell in love with a mortal and had a child, she would kill the child in the most hellish way possible. So to protect you from Hera's wrath, he never claimed you and helped me hide you from her until... "

As soon as she said those words I could feel her pain. Whatever she was going to tell me next, wrenched her heart.

"...until last year. Hera found out about me and you. She, along with her son, Ares schemed to dethrone Zeus and make Ares the new king." she said and the sorrow in her voice was obvious. I wanted to help her. I so desperately wanted to make her happy. I tried to recall ever I knew about Hera. She was the Queen of the Gods, the goddess of family and marriage and also that she never liked the children of Zeus. She even cursed Leto, the goddess of motherhood, to never find a solid ground or island to give birth to. All because she was pregnant with Zeus's children.

Thinking about it made me furious. And I resolved that I would never let Hera do anything to my mother.

Looking at my sudden change of emotions, my mother came closer to me and cupped my face in her hands and said.

"I want you to know that your father loved you more than anyone or anything. And now he needs you. " her last sentence created a big, invisible question mark on my face.

"My help? How can I ever help someone who's way stronger than me? I mean, I am just a normal boy, what could I possibly help him with?" I asked and that's when my pet dog, Sammy, came running into the library. He stopped right in front of me and began to glow. His form started to change until I was looking at a tall, handsome man. He brushed his hair and then looked at me.

"Hello, Adrian Crimson. I am Apollo, the God of the Sun."
