Chapter 39

On the main mansion Leon was in his office talking to Winston.

"How is Sebastian's investigation going?" Leon asked Winston, while signing a bunch of documents for the Emperor.

"Still no news about Sebastian your grace." Winston answered, disappointment could be felt in his voice knowing they still have no progress with Leonna's mother.

Sebastian was sent by Leon to investigate about Leonna's past. There is no one in the entire world that can convice Leon that Leonna is not his daughter but no matter how hard he tried to think about it he don't remember anything about having intimate relationship with anyone.

Leon put his fountain pen down at the table, he leaned backward at his chair and with his hand massages his forehead.

"Should I prepare you some tea your grace?" Winston asked.

"Yes---"

A sudden shaking of the ground stopped Leon mid-air.

"Your grace!" Winston shouted as he point outside the window.

Leon stood up from his chair to see what Winston was talking about. Terror filled Leon's heart when he saw a big block of crystal at the far north of the dukedom.

"Leonna!" Leon shouted, immediate panic could be seen in his face. It was like a sudden flashback to when Leonna was in the brick of death suddenly came to his mind.

"Get me a horse!" Leon shouted, Winston immediately ran outside to get Leon a horse.

Just like Leon the knights from the east and west building were also in a panic looking at the crystal block coming from the north.

"I-is that Lady Leonna's powers?" One of the knight asked in a shaky voice.

"Everyone get ready to move to the north!" Jace was the first one to snapped out shock it was not the first time he saw such powers, he was there when Leonna awaken, the fear and shock was not his first time.

"You heard him! Get ready to move!!" Brion shouted and everyone got on their horses and without wasting anymore time they all hurriedly went to the north.

"Listen to me! The priority is Lady Leonna's safety got it?! Secure her as fast as possible!" Brion shouted and everyone agreed.

On their way to the north they saw the Grand Duke also riding a horse in a hurry to go to Leonna. All of them followed the Grand Duke behind, looking from a far you would thought that they are about to go to war.

Leon saw Brion and Jace following him from behind and all the knights behind them, he just nodded at them and they nodded back.

When They arrived everyone gasp in disbelief at the situation, the once green grass field is now covered in crystal, and huge blocks of white crystal as far as they could see.

"AAAHHHHH!!!"  A shout of terror can be heard and Leon knew too well who's voice was that. There at the center he saw Leonna all scrunch up covering her ears and crying, it was like he was brought back to the worst time of his life.

"Leonna!!!"  Leon shouted

"My lady!!!" The knights shouted in worried.

They were about to go to Leonna when suddenly a pile of dirt made a wall between Leon and Leonna.

"The f#$#?!" Leon yelled in confusion, with his black mist he easily destroyed the wall of dirt.

"Grand Duke!!" This time it was Riri who shouted to get Leon's attention. Leon looked at Riri and immediately anger consumed him.

"You!" With his black mist he grab Riri by the neck and pulled him towards him.

"What have you done?!" Leon asked.

"T-training her." Riri answered in a stuttering gasp for air due to Leon strangling his neck.

"W-e had a deal Grand Duke." Riri said once more to remind Leon what they agreed upon and that is that Leon could not interfere with their training.

"So you're saying I should just watch while my daughter is dying?" Everyone immediately took a few steps back when they saw Leon's murderous black mist rampaging covering his entire body. His eyes was slowly changing colors something that happens everytime Leon is angry, Riri looking at it couldn't help but be fascinated but scared at the same time.

"No. I told you I won't let that happen, now let go of me." Riri answered, Leon stared at Riri murderously before letting him go. Riri grab his neck and cough a few times to regain his air back.

Riri then immediately went to Leonna.

"Brat look at me." Riri stated. Leonna looked at Riri just like how he ordered. "Its normal for first timers for their powers to explode, what's not normal is you getting scared by your own powers."

[That is definitely not normal for Maguses!!] The knights thought almost simultaneously while looking at Riri with a deadpan expression as he lie straight to Leonna's face while the Grand Duke is looking.

Leon clenched his fist in disbelief at Riri's statement. [I'm going to kill him one day.] Leon thought.

"But--but"

"No buts brat, do it again." Riri stated. Everyone gasp in shock at Riri's order.

"What? No!" Leonna answered in a panic, scared that she might destroy the property even more.

"Then you could kiss that hunting tournament goodbye." Riri answered, smirking at Leonna.

Only then did Leonna saw her father, watching her from the side. "Dad?" Leonna called almost teary eyes.

Leon smiled at her. "You can do whatever you want Leonna, if you want to stop I'll support you if you want to continue I'll support you too."

That calmed Leonna down and gave her a little confidence to do it once more. "What if I couldn't control it again?"

"That's why were training, With that amount of power it would take time for you to be able to control it fully. Don't worry no matter what happen your powers will never take over you like the first time since you already awaken successfully, its just a matter of weather you can control it or not." Riri said assuring her of her safety.

"What if I destroy the entire north mansion?" Leonna asked worriedly.

"Do not worry about the mansion Leonna, the mansion and everything in it is yours you can destroy it and rebuild it anytime you want." Leon said.

"You heard him brat! Do not worry about anything, he'll take care of it! Now do it again, but this time try and control the amount of crystal you make." Riri said.

Leonna nodded in response as she stood up from sitting, just like earlier she closed her eyes and tried feeling the coldness and heat that she felt a few minutes ago.

"Take a deep breath." Riri said.

Leonna took a deep breath.

"Now, tell me everything you are feeling, step by step."

Leonna just like what Riri said started to tell him everything she's feeling leading up to her powers.

"Cold." Leonna said when again she felt coldness throughout her body.

"Ok, keep going."

"Hot." Then from Leonna's stomach she felt an overwhelming heat.

"Ok, Open your eyes."

Leonna opened her eyes and she saw her body covered in this white aura and she didn't know where it was coming from.

Leon watching what was happening was in complete shock, although Leon already saw Leonna's powers it still surprises him.

Then Leon saw the scales underneath Leonna's eyes. He saw it once when Leonna awaken but he never really paid attention to it but now he has so many questions. Why does she has scales? What kind of scales is that?

"Now Try mixing the hot and cold at the core of your stomach Leonna and slowly release it." Riri said, Leonna nodded before taking a deep breath.

She tried doing what Riri said but…..

"AHHH!!" Leonna yelled when a sudden block of crystal came out of her hand, the force of it made her flew a few miles.

"Leonna!!" Leon screamed in worried, he was about to go and help her when Riri's dirt stopped him.

"No. Let her stand up herself, you can't keep on protecting her Leon. Specially not at the tournament." Riri said in a serious monotone voice.

Leon clenched his fist, as much as he hates to admit it he's right.

"Stand up brat, do it again."

Leonna wince in pain at the impact but still stood up. She then tried doing what Riri said again. But just like before it just exploded.

"Again!" Riri yelled.

One after the other Leonna just could not control the force of her powers.

"Again!"

"Again!"

"Again!"

"Again!"

Everyone who was watching was in complete awe and amazement at Leonna's powers, they already knew that she has unusual power what they don't know is how powerful it was.

After a couple of times doing what Leonna is doing, the entire north side of the dukedom was completely destroyed.

Leonna's eyes was blank, it shows no emotion and it was almost lifeless.

"Can you still continue?" Riri asked.

"Ye-s." Leonna answered but her expression is the opposite of her answer.

Riri sigh before turning his back at her. "Let's end it here for today. I'll see you again tomorrow."

"W-wait! I said I can still--" Leonna about to run after Riri when she trip and fell face first to the crystal ground.

"Leonna!" With his mist Leon gently grab Leonna and put her down on his horse. "Dad, I-I can still--"

"That's enough for today Leonna, don't be in such a hurry you still have two months." Leon said while covering Leonna with his cloak.

Instantly Leonna fell asleep due to exhaustion. "Let's move out." Leon ordered the knights.

All of them then went back to the main mansion.
