Yeri subconsciously clasped her head in annoyance, she got rid of Nina's pestering only to get replaced by an even more annoying one!

Anyway, why should she be afraid?

"Well, Young Master Keir was so worried about me that night he had to drag me out of the club, if you didn't follow me nothing would have happened between us right? In what way did I force you?"

There was a momentary silence then Shin Keir let out a playful laugh, "Could that be the reason you were ignoring me?"

Yeri's ear suddenly felt feverish, it was a bad idea to talk to this man over the phone

Is he aware that his voice is full of pheromones? Too distracting!

"I didn't go through the details since I don't want to embarrass you but it seems you remembered it yourself...so I assume you also remember that you invited me to go home with you?" Shin continued.

Lies! Who invited whom?

If she invited a man home then her Father will most likely drag her to a convent to repent!

Yeri opened her mouth but couldn't find words to deny it.

"I clearly remember someone proudly bragging that there was delicious food and a warm bed for me to sleep in..." Shin chuckled

What is he implying? This man, is he a stray dog?

"Young Master Keir you're not a homeless person following a drunk person just because she spouted nonsense, where is your face?" Yeri said with gritted teeth.

"What can I say, you were really convincing and sincere with your invitation," Shin spoke with certainty and a trace of playfulness.

Yeri's mouth twitched, she no longer wanted to talk to this dog villain. "It doesn't matter, the point is I didn't force you."

"Oh? It appears that you only remember whatever it is that benefits you, do you need my help to reattach your brain circuit? Yeri Zhi, we already have an agreement and both sides accepted each other's compensation, could it be that you're trying to rescind your words?" Shin's tone was domineering and threatening.

It was around noon time and many employees could be seen going in and out of the entrance building.

Secretary Yun also passed by carrying two huge brown paper bags with a cafe logo, to everyone's curiosity.

As the Secretary to the CEO, he was well-known within the company and his actions were often the source of discussion whenever they gossiped about their CEO.

"Uhm, Sir, do you need any help?"

Secretary Yun just pressed the button of the exclusive elevator when he heard the woman.

It was a petite, fair girl with curly hair, small lips, and round eyes however being with Shin Keir for the past 8 years, such a beauty was ordinary.

Secretary Yun who was unaware of the damage his Boss caused him simply refused with an indifferent expression before boarding the elevator.

Lucia Hera was stunned, she knew of the impact of her beauty on men but why was that guy so indifferent, does he have a high standard for a mere secretary?

If it wasn't so difficult to approach Shin Keir she wouldn't have bothered with an unpleasant secretary.

Lucia Hera sneered in her heart, having worked in the company for a couple of years of course she knew of Shin Keir's prominence and why it was futile to covet him.

However, the man is not married nor does he have an official fiancee, how is that impossible? She doesn't believe it!

Rather than being a coward isn't being ambitious better? Besides, she has the face and means.

Meanwhile, Secretary Yun who was criticized for not admiring the beauty is now busy taking out boxes of desserts from the paper bag inside the CEO's office.

"Boss, Cafe Zhillion has plenty of drinks and desserts so as you said, I chose the popular ones and some were recommended by the patissier."

Secretary Yun thought it would be another torturous day but unexpectedly the President was in a very good mood.

It was even more startling that he was suddenly asked to buy desserts knowing his Boss dislikes anything with sugar, surely this has something to do with Miss Zhi!

"Just place all of them on the coffee table, I'll try some of them later, and prepare the usual coffee." Shin hastily scanned the boxes before taking back his attention to the computer.

Secretary Yun heeded feeling thrilled, he never thought there would come a day when the one who could appease his Boss would be a woman.

Looking at the cute and pretty aesthetics of cakes and cupcakes, obviously catered for women and young people, it doesn't seem to match the image of his Boss.

"By the way Boss, there's a cake named after Miss Zhi, they said it was because the owner's daughter loved this one and many customers also like it." Secretary Yun carefully placed the cake box on Shin's desk. "It's called Yeri matcha cheesecake."

Sure enough, it aroused Shin Keir's interest, although he had the usual air of indifference with an apathetic face there was a subtle glint of mirth in his eyes, obscured to Secretary Yun.

Shin Keir opened the box and it was a mini-round cheesecake in green, there were pieces of strawberries on top, pink flower icing, and a couple of paw prints from powdered chocolate.

All in all, it was very cute and delicate.

So this is her favorite dessert?

"Boss, do you want to take a photo with the cake?" Secretary Yun was holding a phone full of expectation. "M-maybe send it to Miss Zhi?"

"Why?" Shin frowned not understanding what Secretary Yun wanted to achieve.

Ahem, ahem, forget it!

Sharing photos is typical among young couples and it also improves the relationship but looking at his Boss's cold and intimidating expression wouldn't he just scare Miss Zhi?

Shin Keir didn't dwell much on Secretary Yun's strange request as he was in good spirits, recalling his conversation with her last night the corners of his mouth turned upward.

If anyone had seen Shin Keir with Yeri their jaws would have literally dropped to the ground, not just because he was with a woman but his demeanor is completely different from his usual self.

Tonight, Jj invited her to a friend's birthday thinking that she might be burned out from catching up on her studies.

Jj nodded, "I heard it's the best place for a night out but no matter how good it is there's a lot of hidden danger so don't leave my sight."

Yeri rolled her eyes inwardly, she's not a kid and she'd been there once.

The attendant led them to a VIP room on the second floor.

"Jj, you're finally here do you have to delay, the girls were all waiting for you!"

"Aye, what took you so long? I thought you forgot my birthday!"

There were at least 30 people, all from the same engineering department and Yeri only recognized two of Jj's closest friends, one of them was the celebrant Vince Marion, and another college student named Cedric Moon.

"Happy birthday Brother Vince!" Yeri greeted, "I hope you don't mind me crashing your party without a gift."

"Not at all, just your presence alone is more than enough of a gift there's no need to be polite!" Vince's eyes twinkled as he patted her head.

"Shut up, don't touch her." Jj immediately removed his hand and pointed to the group, "Go, go and entertain your guests."

"You really.... isn't Yeri also my guest? Don't be always like her father and let her enjoy my party!"

Yeri was used to people staring at her so she simply followed Jj and sat next to him while also happily conversing with Vince Marion.

"Jj, who is she?" A pretty girl asked.

She is considered one of the beauties in their department but seeing the guy she likes with a beautiful companion, how can she not feel jealous?
