if only she knew

A while passed since Jaehyun decided to make Cho-Hee's life a mess and annoy her.

It must've been a month since she forced herself to get closer to him to get rid of him.

In the meantime her father came home for rough 3 days before leaving again.

It was quite when Cho-Hee arrived at her home.

A part of her expected Jaehyun there,maybe making a mess,and she would thank him for what he did before.

Making fun of a guy that made fun of her and made him trip in front of everyone.

Another part of her didn't even know what to say and if she would do anyway.

Maybe he just did it because he knew she couldn't stop him?

Or because he was a demon and evil?

For a while Cho-Hee felt like she forgot who Jaehyun was.

Cho-Hee walked to her room and sat down on her desk, took out her homework and did it.

She was done after two hours and the sun was already starting to come down.

In all the while she did her homework she couldn't forget about Jaehyun.

Who was he?

Not what he was now,she knew it.

He died,landed in hell and because of her summoning he was back on earth now.

But who was he when he lived?

She took out her phone and opened google.

'jaehyun' was all she could type in the search bar.

A article crashed into her eyes,a photo of Jaehyun right next to it as an headline image.

She opened it.

Read the headline and Cho-Hee stopped.

He didn't want her to know this kind of thing,was she really going to do it against his sake?

"Jaehyun?" she yelled through the house,but the house just answered with cold silence.

She took a deep breath before she started reading.

August 13th 2018

On August 13th Jung Jaehyun left his home but never returned. The young man wasn't reported missing until he didn't show up to class like he usually would. Friends confirmed that he'd run away from home often. "He would just appear at our doorsteps,no matter what kind of weather it was and without telling us what happened and why he showed up so suddenly" a friend reported. They would also say that he'd have several bruises on his body from time to time that seemed to come from a physical attack. After investigations of his family the police found out that they would physically abuse Jung Jaehyun. "They would sometimes beat him, without big or understanding reasons. He seemed to be ashamed of this events" one of the policeman who spoke to the family members revealed. But what happened that day? Jung Jaehyun seemed to have left his home around 11pm after being attached and hurt physically by his parents and ran away in the woods. Friends of him said he was very comfortable with the nature and that he would spend a lot of time outside. The police supposed the wood near his parents house was his comfort place. But the young man seemed to not be careful enough and not aware of the fact that it rained the night before. As he was walking in the woods it is supposed he slipped,fell down a slope and hit his head on a rock,presumed due to the injury on his head (skull base fracture) causing him to fall unconscious in the nearby lake . The autopsy of his body revealed that his lungs were filled with water which means he was still alive when he fell in the lake and drowned without being able to do something about it.His dead body was found a few hours later. All this information were approved for the public. Family and friends are mourning. Our condolences go out to you. His fune-"

Cho-Hee couldn't read further because her phone was knocked out of her hand.

"I told you not to, didn't I?" Jaehyun angrily said as he stood behind her.

Cho-Hee didn't look up,her eyes focused her white desk.

Jaehyun hit the table with his fist,his action made a lot noise and Cho-Hee flinched.

"Answer me!" he yelled and grabbed her face with his hands,forcing her to look at him.

He was perplexed when he saw that she was crying and stopped in his rage.

"I'm sorry what happened to you" Cho-Hee said and more tears rolled down her cheek.

"I don't need your pity" he said and let go of her face "I don't need anyone's pity" he said angry and disappeared again.

Cho-Hee was alone in her room and all of a sudden she felt the cold in her room.

She felt not able to move.

She felt alone.

It was rare that this happened,but right now she didn't want to be alone.

She regretted reading this article and she regretted looking at him with a crying face.

Right now she wanted Jaehyun on her side,to make her laugh.

To annoy her,anything but feeling like this.

Cho-Hee let her head sink on her desk and just let the tears fall.

She didn't act strong anymore,not only because no one was around anymore but because she wanted Jaehyun to know that he didn't need to be ashamed of his past and that she understood what he did.

She wanted him to know that she didn't feel disgusted by him,she just wished she knew him before so that she could maybe help.

If only she knew.
