1 Death and Beginnings

Okino Shuji was in his room watching a youtube video of Itachi Uchiha's most badass moments like he does most days. He had black hair and black eyes. His face wasn't anything to look at and could be described as mediocre. His parents died when he was 6 so he never had parents but luckily growing up in the orphanage wasn't bad because it's where he found anime. In the orphanage they would often play anime and he would always watch. This was something that had carried with him when he grew older. He had seen all sorts of anime including Naruto, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, and many others. When he turned 19 he got his own apartment after just recently breaking up with his girlfriend. Life was tough but recently he's been turning it around and is starting to go forward. Unfortunately at this point in time, he spilled his drink electrocuting him and clearing his browser history while watching the video.

(Pov Change)

"EH!?! what just happened?!"

Okino Shuji found himself in a blank room. As a diehard otaku he obviously had seen this case and to say he was happy was an understatement.

"Is this...." he thought excitedly. "Reincarnation!" he shouted and began to jump.

"Ding! Connecting to the Acting Cool System!"

"Why the hell is my system so upset?" Shuji thought. "My system is already bitching! Oh no... please don't tell me it's one of the systems that is going to troll me."

[Ding! Congratulations Host! The host has received a starter package! This is your unique package only able to be used once and is your start to acting cool! You will receive 1 bloodline, 1 artifact, 1 clothing, and several bonus items. Do you wish to open your starter package?]

Shuji immediately stopped thinking and focused. He was sweating and was extremely tense. His future completely depended on the items that he received. If he failed to get anything wouldn't his next life suck?

After performing a good luck ritual he learned from his gacha game days he decided to go for it. He kept in mind the point of his system and decided he was going to enjoy his next life as much as possible no matter what he got.

"Open the Starter package," he said.

[Ding! Host received the Uchiha bloodline!]

[Ding! Host received the Divine Dividing artifact.]

[Ding! Host received Itachi's Akatsuki outfit.]

[Ding! Processing input . . . Congratulations!]

Shuji closed his eyes and felt a burning throughout his body and eyes. After a couple of minutes, it went away like it was never there. He calmly opened his eyes to find himself dressed in Itachi's outfit with his hat and robe. When he went to look for Divine Dividing he got another notification.

[Ding! You have received several bonus items! Would you like to receive them?]

"Open up the package"

[Ding! Congratulations you have received 10x Body Pill, 10X Mental enhancement pill, and 1x set of Illusory Divine Veins.]

Shuji couldn't believe that this system that was shamelessly ripped off from a web novel gave such good rewards. He slowly thought of rewards and was really happy with his Uchiha bloodline and commited himself to becoming a badass. This was the point of the system after all.

[Ding! The host recieved a bonus reward!]

[Ding! Host has recieved Itachi Uchiha's Appearance! Host cannot change his appearance or name until he gets his own body or evolves! This is a trial for you to prove you can act cool! Telling your old name to anyone but someone permited by the system or failing to act like Itachi will result in death!]

Suddenly he felt his body changing once again he tried to hold in his cries but they leaked out due to the extreme pain he felt. Finally, after 20 minutes, the pain stopped and he stood up to find a mirror in front of him. He now looks exactly like Itachi Uchiha with his Akatsuki outfit on.

"FUCK SYSTEM! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME IT WOULD HURT SO BAD!?! ALSO WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T USE MY OLD NAME?! I'M NOT DROPPING MY OLD NAME! ACT LIKE ITACHI UCHIHA?!"

[Ding! Due to the presence of Uchiha bloodline your appearance and blood have fused to have the remnants of Itachi Uchiha's muscle memory and combat ability. Congratulations on your extra boon!]

"Congratulations?!? You didn't answer the question stupid system! I want to use my old name! I don't mind acting like Itachi for some time but forever?" he said.

[Ding! Host please stop complaining. Once you upgrade the system by evolving or getting your own body these restrictions will be removed. Your current self is still uncool! This is your start to acting cool!]

[Ding! It is now time for the host to choose a starting world and start acting cool! Please keep in mind that you can travel worlds in the future once you reach a certain point.]

He calmed down and began to ponder where he should go. This would be his starting point and he needed to choose wisely. He thought of some of the recent books he read and finally, it hit him.

"I choose Against the Gods 2 years before the plot starts"

[Ding! Your choice has been accepted!]

He suddenly felt himself falling to the ground where he found himself in the middle of the forest. Now that he had the chance to calm down and look around he felt that his eyes were extremely precise. He could see a fly's wings twitching and he also found that his mental and physical abilities also completely improved.

"This must be due to Itachi's Muscle Memory and combat ability that I got from his appearance." he thought to himself. After thinking for a while he decided to take out the pills he got with his bonus reward.

"System what do the body pill and mental enhancement pill do," he asked.

[Ding! The body pill increases physique and physical abilities such as Strength, Reflex, Agility, and Stamina. Mental enhancement pill is an increase in information processing speed, an increase in memory, understanding, and logical thinking. It also increases your senses along with the 6th sense.]

"Wow, system you sure are generous. I suppose this is the power of drugs in a cultivation world," he says to himself. Shuji was about to start to take the pills before he thought back to all the pain he has just gone through recently. He skeptically looked at the pills that looked completely harmless but somehow felt things could not be this easy. Uneasily he started taking the pills until he felt pain all over his body again.

"Shit I should have known it wouldn't be this easy. Of course, this high-tech system can't even make drugs that don't hurt me when ingesting them." He grit his teeth and continued to take them all until finally, he finished all 10 body and mental enhancement pills. After a wonderful session of taking drugs and passing out, he found himself stronger and smarter. Shuji decided to look at the last two rewards mainly the illusory divine veins and Divine Dividing.

"System integrate Divine Dividing and after explain to me my illusory divine veins."

If he can't become a badass with these abilities, looks, and outfits he is simply unfit to live. After shortly thinking about everything he's gone through, it somehow hits him that this is all real. He thought back on his boring life that was full of mediocrity that everybody feels at some time. He thought back to his parents that died when he was young and his time in the orphanage. He thought all the way until his stupid death.

"This life I'll live it to the fullest without the mediocrity of my old one. It seem's i'll have to live as Itachi Uchiha for a while but I'll get my own body eventually... Before we do that though it seems I need to gain some strength before the plot begins." he thought to himself

It's time to start cultivating.
