A young man walked down the corridor, his authority and power shown on every step he takes

broad shoulders and tall figure that makes the strongest men tremble at his feet.

but his face didn't show any glimpse of emotions, as if he was a statue meant to please the people's eyes. an emotionless, ruthless statue

eyes, as golden a the purest gold and shining like the brightest sun, scanned his surroundings, his gaze seemed to see through the thick walls of the palace.

he paused at a certain door at the end of the long and bright corridor, a door that has always attracted his aimless mind

like a magnet attracting every type of metal

he stared at the door lost in the world of thoughts, whenever he was walking aimlessly or deep in thought, he would always find himself in the front of this door.

a deep sigh escaped his lips. he doesn't understand when did that habit start or how

he doesn't even understand why would his feet lead him to this certain door.

a door leading to one of countless rooms in this huge palace.

a room that has been empty since this place was built..

he slowly turned the knot of the door, revealing the guest room, a room filled with the most luxurious furniture, just like the rest of this palace. But the scent of familiarity hit him

a sweet, delicate scent, a familiar yet so unfamiliar scent filled his lungs.

he walked to the king-sized bed in the center of the room as he ruffled his jet black hair. for the first time in the 26 years of his life, he couldn't find the missing piece.

there was something lost, something missing, ever since last winter there was an empty hole in his heart, a part he couldn't find nor understand

this empty room was neat and clean, it wasn't something unusual since his maids kept every single room in his palace in a perfect shape, but this room was different, it was haunted by an unknown spirit. as if it was occupied by someone in the very near past

a voice interrupted his peaceful silent moment "Your Majesty, i've been looking for you everywhere" a brown haired young male appeard at the door

"Felix, i told you to call me Damian when we are alone"

Felix, wearing his armor and standing with honor and pride, felt awkward "right your maj- i mean Damian"

Damian sat on the bed. his eyes relaxed a bit, like he has lost a hard battle against a mysterious force existing in this room "what is it?"

Felix seemed to remember why he came here in the first place "your fiancée, lady Emilia has arrived and is waiting in the conservatory room"

"alright .. I'm coming"

Before leaving the room, Damian took a last glance at the mysterious bedroom. he sighed as he closed the door behind him to walk down the corridor leading to the conservatory.

"i'm coming" a cotton-candy-pink haired girl answered while packing her books in a small backpack

She walked down the stairs swiftly and followed her friend outside, the sudden light coming from the bright sun made her temporary blind, she covered her eyes as a small sad smile crept across her face beautiful face

Lyra opened her eyes gradually, to reveal a glamorous sky-blue eyes, eyes seemed to be made of the most beautiful jewelries in the world. Sadness washed over her, sadness filled with longing and much more

she cleared her mind and made her way to the main road where her friend is waiting impatiently for her "if you want to graduate this year, you better stop observing the sun everytime you come out of your house"

Lyra chuckled "yeah right"

The two girls made their way to their college which located in the heart of the most crowded cities in this world
